Very pigmented and works as it says it would. The case is magnetised and strong which keeps all the colours safe which is great. The mirror is handy and the product is very good for the price. I found the brush a bit stiff so I don't use it but other than that it's a pretty good pallete. There's also a range of colours which is nice for more variation in looks if I wanted to. (i have the neons pallete)

I purchased this as I loved the shade range. I have quite a basic make up routine so have been very excited to create different looks. Packaging is slick black, magnetised case, 12 shades ( 3 matte, 9 glitter). Comes with a duo brush/applicator which I have gotten a lot of use out of.
Very romantic colours, can create lovely romantic/smokey looks. A bit of fall out but not complaining. Quite pigmented. Blends easily. Lasts well. I have a 9 hour work day so it does tend to need a bit of a touch up at the end of the day if heading out in the evening.
This is a great starter palette for someone like myself who is not all that confident with eyeshadows and eye looks. I found a lot of tutorials on Youtube and have been doing a different tutorial everyday. I am quite stoked with this palette and am getting a lot of use out of it. Very keen to repurchase the other three palettes in this range.
I used to use the 'Nude' palette in this series, and I was always impressed by it, for the price. It is a great set for a girl just starting out or those who are not prepared to fork out lots of money for eyeshadow palettes.
They're not exactly the most imaginative colours out there, lots of pretty pinks and safe shimmery options but that's absolutely fine. Fairly good pigment and easily blendable, if you're not a huge makeup fiend then this is a great choice that again, will not break your bank.
Tips: Definitely start out with some concealer on your eyes in order to maximise the colour payoff and ensure the colours stay in place.
Great purchase for someone that doesn't wear make up to often or doesn't want to spend crazy amounts on eyeshadow. This was my first eyeshadow pallet (nude) great starter with good nude colour range mattes and shimmers and blends easy enough. Didn't give 5 stars as pigmentation could be better and does require a good base to ensure colours come through nicely and last all all night without smudging.
I have the neutral shades palette and i love it. The eyeshadow goes on really easy and actually stays on for most of the day. There is a good mix of matte and sparkly shades and they all complement each other well for a great look. Even though this is really cheap, it is probably my favourite lot of eyeshadows that I own. I love the double end brush too!
Really affordable palletes! I’ve never been an eyeshadow girl because I’m not the best at applying. I bought the neutral shades pallete along with the ultra shades pallete and I must say, they have so much pigment which is great because it makes the colours on my eyes stand out so much!
Neon love is my life. I live for bright colours and this Neon Palette packs a punch! You options are limitless with a neon rainbow at your disposal. I went straight for the orange and lime with white corner highlights - Love it! The colours are bright but you can easily blend them out more for a more subtle look. I also love the packaging, its super cute, but seems like it would travel around in my purse well too.... and it had a great little brush which is all I used to do my eye makeup today.
Tips: If you are going for a super opaque coverage I would recommend putting down a cream base first to really make the colour pop.
Received this product as part of a trial team, and I must say I was super excited to review it. I chose the smokey palette. With 12 gorgeous shades to mix and match, this is definitely a must have for any girls makeup collection. I like that it has a handy little mirror on the inside of the palette for out and about applications, and it came with a double ended applicator, with a sponge and brush tip (though I did not use this to apply, I used my carousel duo eyeshadow brushes). All the shades are extremely pigmented and quite buildable. They blend together seamlessly which is great for people who haven't quite mastered the smokey eye look yet. I wore this eyeshadow to my course twice this week, and it wore quite well, think it would last alot longer with an eyeshadow primer though. Overall I love this product, I would definitely buy it and I'm probably going to go out and buy the other palettes in this set!
Tips: Apply an eye shadow primer for a longer lasting look, also this is super pigmented so less really is more :)
I was coveting the Neons palette *hard* from the moment I first saw it in-store, and then when it came up as a possible BR trial I waited to see if I'd be selected. I wasn't, so I ended up picking up not only the Neons, but the Ultra as well. At $10 each, why not? (Price was at Love My Makeup; have also been seen in the Warehouse for $7.50)
The LA Girl Palettes each feature a crazy 12 eyeshadows, housed in a simple black-gloss stiff cardboard case with a double ended brush (brush/sponge applicator) and a long, thin mirror. They are easy to use designs, with thin strips of each colour in a long thin rectangular case.
The brushes provided are average at best - the sponge is a little hard for my liking, and the brush a little soft, but it does the job in a pinch.
In the Ultra palette, the colours range from bone through a spectrum of pinky-beige tones and purples, with brown and bronze to finish out the set. They are colours that can be blended nicely to create a muted or darker look, both subtly sexy without being over the top. There are no bright shades in this palette, and the shimmery options are faintly shimmery, not over the top. It's a very pretty neutral set tending towards the purples, and looks great with my hazel eyes.
The Neons are, as expected, BRIGHT. There is a shimmery white and silver to highlight and soften, and a charcoal for features, but the other 9 shades are bright, screaming neons. Pigmentation is okay - not exceptional, but you can definitely see the colours loud and clear on your eyes. You have options for complementary colours, clashing colours, or a myriad of other options - creativity is key! I use this set to do a mottled eye fairly often and it always works using this product.
The shadows last through a full day on my eyelids (note: I do use a setting spray as well but even when I haven't I have been happy with the lasting time) and maintain impact right throughout the day as well. They can be blended or built up to achieve the desired effect, and even used with a slightly damp brush to get even more impact.
For the price, I can't fault the sets at all, but whether or not I'd recommend them depends on how makeup savvy the person was - sometimes people don't need a 12 colour palette, especially if they're happy with what they are rocking - I like to use all the colours all the time but palettes aren't for everyone.
Go instore and play with the 4 options - the smoky and nude palettes are also lovely!
This was one of the very first eyeshadow palettes I ever owned. I had the nude one and had seriously used it to death! It's a great palette if you're looking at a basic, cheap, decent place to start.
The nude palette is has a great spectrum of colours to create many different natural, day-to-day eye looks. One thing that I don't like about the nude palette is that it only has 3 matte shades, the rest are shimmers (not sure if this is the same for the other palettes). I find this a pain as I like to use matte shades in my crease and just wish there were more!
The formula is alright. They blend pretty well and don't have a lot of kick back, but the pigmentation isn't excellent. They stay on pretty well all day with an eyeshadow primer.
Due to these eyeshadows not being too pigmented they're great palettes for beginners as you learn to build the colour up and not use too much at once. It takes a bit of time but the completed look is pretty good. For what you pay, my nude palette is a pretty good buy. I just wish there were more mattes!
