I received a couple of sample size units of 3g each and have to say the moisture factor was great, the scent was very different like a seaweed kinda earthy smell that I found pleasant. I did find it a little greasy in consistency I don't know if it had dimethicone in it but just an observation. But for me the reason I would not recommend is because unless you can get it ultra cheap I don't think it does anything more than many other eye creams on the market. In total I used for about 2 weeks straight.

La Mer The Eye Balm Intense Reviews
This soothing, fast-penetrating eye balm smoothes, reduces visible puffiness and de-stresses the look of the eyes for a calm, well-rested look. Deeply emollient, this ultra-luxe balm hydrates, conditions and visibly softens lines, wrinkles and other signs of fatigue.
Twice daily, dab a small amount onto applicator and gently massage under and above the eye area for increased microcirculation.

I was really lucky to score a deluxe mini of this in a Mecca Loop box (Level 3) earlier this year - at $342 there's very little chance I would ever be able to justify buying the 15ml full size! The mini is a generous 3 ml - for an eye cream, this lasts ages.
Anything La Mer almost falls into the category of 'please don't work, I don't want to love the expensive things!' - but I love this.
At 38 I have a couple of wee lines and crease developing around my eyes, so I'm exploring my options for eye creams. This is sadly out of my price range, because it's awesome.
The cream itself is a light pale green - looks herbaceous and expensive. There is no detectable scent. It's a very thick formula but spreads and absorbs well.
Immediately on application my eye area feels fresher and more hydrated. That therefore offers a visible difference, making me look more awake, and my skin look healthier. It really is lovely to use, but it would work out to $1 a day or more for eye cream, which is ludicrous really!
Tips: See if you can get a sample - although if you're in the market for something at this cost, then the cost probably won't worry you too much.
