I really wanted to like this sunscreen as my usual one is a lot more expensive and I was hoping to find something a little kinder on the wallet. At face value, the sunscreen does everything it says it does (I'm not 100% sure on the SPF rating of course but if it is sold in NZ then it should be fully tested). It has a light cream-like consistency with no scent. The packaging is nice - it has a pump at the top of the tube which makes for easy dispensing and the tube itself is perfect size to keep in your bag for reapplication. I found the cream to be still quite thick and when I spread it on my face it felt quite drying and it was difficult to make sure it was rubbed in evenly. For those with oily skin, this may well be an advantage but I like a little glow when I apply my sunscreen under make up. Because I always apply my sunscreen before make up, I often rely on it to act as a primer as well. My make up did not want to sit nicely on top of this product and it took me awhile to get my foundation look acceptable. There was a small amount of pilling which I had to try and even out. Once my make up had settled, my face did sit nice for the rest of the day and I didn't notice any additional shine or grease associated with the product. This facial sunscreen would be perfect worn alone and for those looking to remove shine. I have donated the rest of my tube to my husband as I think his skin (and requirements of a sunscreen) is better suited to it.

Tips: Best worn without make up. Perfect tube to keep in your bag for regular application throughout the day.
Given that I have oily skin against a brown skin tone, it's difficult to find a sunscreen that doesn't leave me with a white cast and a greasy face after a few hours.
This sunscreen ticks all the boxes for me. It's a good size to travel with and has a functional pump that dispenses just enough product. The formula is a lightweight fluid-like cream but don't be fooled, it dries super fast while blending...so blend fast. That's my only gripe, sometimes it feels like I'm tugging at my skin just to try and move the product.
On my brown skin tone it does appear as a white cast when trying to blend it in but it does go away. I find that I need to apply the sunscreen in natural light so I can remove any hint of the white cast.
I love that it's unscented because I can't stand that people pick up that I've just applied sunscreen from the scent. The best part for me is that my skin still looks like skin and doesn't look matte. After 8 hours there's signs of dewiness but nothing compared to the usual grease ball with past sunscreens.
Tips: For those with brown skin, it may pay to check your face in natural light just in case there's a hint of a white cast.
This is a fragrance-free sunscreen with a slightly thick consistency, it has a pump applicator which makes it easy to apply with no mess, I use about 5-6 pumps if I’m doing a full face, neck and ears. The finish is truly matte making it the perfect option for oily/combo skin, but suitable for anyone who prefers a matte sunscreen with zero greasiness or white cast. My skin can be sensitive to chemical sunscreens but I’ve had no problems with this at all and it doesn’t sting around the eye area. I’ve been using this for a week now and I have to say it’s probably the best sunscreen I’ve tried, it’s great knowing you’re adequately protected without compromising your look (ie. no more looking like a shiny disco ball or a chalky vampire!) if there’s one minor gripe I have it’s that the tube is quite small at only 50mls, I wouldn’t say it’s pricey at around $30 but I tend to over-apply sunscreen to ensure adequate coverage so I could probably use a whole tube very quickly. All-in-all though it’s a fantastic sunscreen, I’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and family.
I have tried a La Roche possay SPF before and it was not successful for me, so when I seen this opportunity arise I was like, maybe I should try a different one and I’m really glad I was picked for this opportunity because I really love this spf! I am a combination skin type with acne that gets irritated very quickly and also very sensitive eyes. This spf (being a dry down matte) was at first a little hard to blend but once you blend it, it’s perfect. No white cast, soaks in quickly and it looks really lovely on the skin. It sat comfortably under my make up all day and didn’t irritate my acne or my eyes! I would absolutely repurchase. Unfortunately the pump on mine did stop working - but beauty review have been kind enough to fix the issue for me. I think it was just bad luck on my part! Love the SPF tho!
My skin is sensitive, oily t-zone and prone to breakouts with a lot of sunscreen and skincare. I'm happy to report that this product didn't break me out. The texture is quite creamy but lightweight. It doesn't dry down straight away, it still remains a little bit tacky feeling for about 10-20mins. After that the sunscreen did actually feel dry to the touch. The packaging is great, a pump ensures everything is hygienic and the squeezy tube means you won't waste any product. It's a superior sunscreen to a lot of similar products on the market and I would highly recommend this.
Tips: Make sure you apply all serums, moisturisers and let them sink in for a good 10 minutes before applying this products. I found that if I layered it straight away, it caused pilling and the product didn't quite dry down fully. I squeeze a line each along two fingers to cover my face. Make sure you don't forget your neck, chest, hairline and ears as well.
I’ve found the one my soul loves. That’s really all I have to say. Super thin, doesn’t stay white- white cast disappears. Not oily, hasn’t given me pimples, smooths my skin out/ pores kind of decrease which is a spicy add on. First proper day of felt summer sun was lst Sunday and I spent all day gardening… no sunburn AT ALL. Coming from someone who puts the washing out and gets burnt! Works great under makeup :)
Tips: Apply it.
I’m quite oily in my T zone so wanted something light that wouldn't transfer throughout the day. It does say it’s anti-shine, once applied, it was very matte, although it took a bit longer to spread out as it dries very quickly. Being an SPF 50+ mineral sunscreen it's a lot thicker in texture, which I don't mind, it blends well, and my skin was soft and dewy- no dryness. It would be a great base for makeup, (or to wear on its own) you probably wouldn't even need a primer. However, I think it would be even better if it was lightly tinted and came in a bigger tube!
Tips: Dries very quickly so make sure to spread out evenly or mix with your face moisturizer. I use it with cerave face cream.
I love this sunscreen .... the one thing I hate about sunscreen is I don't like the thick greasy feeling on my face. This product has no greasy feel..as a runner it didn't feel like it was light on my skin and didn't run into my eyes with sweat. The smell is pleasant the pump lid allows easy application without mess. Was a great base for under my makeup. I couldn't review effectiveness of the spf due to little to no sun. I am taking this sunscreen to work so I can apply when I go outside. Can't wait for summer.. finally have sun protection that doesn't ruin a day at the beach.
This sunscreen is a gel-cream that is easy to apply, sinks in well, and it leaves a very matte and soft feeling after drying on my skin. It doesn't have that sticky/greasy feeling like other sunscreens can and doesn't leave my face all shiny, which makes it great for my oily skin. It smells like normal sunscreen and doesn't seem to have any other fragrance. Love that it is SPF50+ and the bottle mentions that it has reduced content of chemical filters and no parabens.
It is quite small (50ml) but I will only use it on my face so it should last a while. The small tube always mean I can carry it with me all the time in my handbag for tops up during the day.
Tips: Reapply every two hours. And always check the expiry date of your sunscreen!
Gosh I struggle with sunscreen. I know I should wear it but it just upsets the routine. I like to wear makeup and I like my makeup to stay put, and most sunscreens leave it sliding off.
This is a really good product - the matte finish is perfect to combat sunscreen-shine and it doesnt feel greasy at all. It also doesnt smell of sunscreen either, you know that horrible chemical smell some brands have.
The only reason I haven't given this a perfect score is that it is quite expensive, I will likely buy again but for summer months only.
