I'm always looking for the perfect day-to-day facial sunscreen that a) has high SPF, b) doesn't make my skin feel greasy or break me out, and c) sits well under makeup. The La Roche-Posay Anthelios Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF50+ has all these qualities and then some! It feels remarkably lightweight on the skin, absorbs quickly, and mattifies my skin really well without feeling like I am wearing anything. It seems to help my skin stay matte during the day as well and I find that I don't need to touch up my makeup as often. I haven't had any breakouts, sensitivity or eczea flare-ups since using it so I think I will be repurchasing this product for a long time.
The only con for me is that I wish it was a sqeeze bottle rather than a pump; I prefer being able to control the amount of product I dispense, and sometimes the tube gets an air bubble and it's hard to pump product out. This isn't enough of a negative for me to mark it down though.
I have had a lot of bad experiences with sunscreen in the past, so I was a bit skeptical of La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Anti-Shine Dry Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF50+, but I have been pleseantly surprised!
I love the 50ml size, perfect for your handbag - so I have no excuse not to always have sunscreen on hand. Even if I didn't have time to apply before I walked out the door in the morning, because it fits in my bag I can simply apply when I arrive at my destination. I found this really helpful motivation to wear sunscreen daily - which we all know we should do but sometimes ends up in the too hard basket.
I both loved and hated the packaging design. On one hand the cap and pump combo ensures there is no spillage in your bag. Big win! But on the other hand, I kept trying to squeeze the tube from the bottom before remembering it has a pump at the top that you have to press down on. Probably something I'd get used to over time but it was a bit annoying.
The product goes on white, but dries/absorbs quickly (almost too quickly!) so it feels like I need to apply quite a lot to make sure I've got good coverage. The product then mattifies leaving a soft finish and looks really good.
One of my biggest issues with sunscreen is that it eventually rubs off into my eyes and stings requiring washing off and starting again - but not this stuff! I even used the product while on holiday in Australia, and it didn't melt off or move in 35 degree heat! It lasted all day and I didnt get burnt once!
It also didn't make my skin red and angry like most other sunscreens do with regularly use. So it's passes my oily and sensitive skin test!
I highly recommend using La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Anti-Shine Dry Touch Facial Sunscreen SPF50+ . It's some of the best sunscreen I've ever used and I will definitely be buying more!
