This is a fabulous sunscreen! It truly is a matte finish which is amazing because my skin gets oily in summer so this will be my go-to when the weather gets hotter. I follow the 'two-finger' rule so I end up using 2 pumps and that is enough for my face, ears and neck. I really love that it doesn't feel sticky or heavy on my face at all, and it's comfortable to wear all day under makeup or on its own. I haven't had any bad reactions or breakouts from using this sunscreen, which is awesome because my skin is sensitive to a lot of sunscreen and SPF products. There is no strong smell or unpleasantness with this sunscreen which is another plus. I have not noticed that this sunscreen stings my eyes like some others do, but I have been careful so far. I have not found any downsides I'll definitely be repurchasing this and recommending it to friends and family.

I was looking forward to trialing this product as I have Rosacea and very sensitive skin that reacts to a lot of sunscreens. I have had good results with other La Roche-Posay products and was not disappointed. The product is easy to pump from the tube and doesn't give you too much with each pump so there is no wastage. It is a thicker product than I am used to and you do need at least two pumps to cover your entire face as it blends into your skin quickly and can't be spread around so you definitely need to follow the directions and spread generously. I do love that it blends into your skin so quickly and it feels lovely as it doesn't and leaves no shine at all or white glow as many other sunscreens do on my skin. I also found I was able to apply my makeup directly after applying which was another bonus. It is slightly more expensive than my current favourite the Cetaphil facial sunscreen but the anti-shine really does work so is worth the difference to me, especially on humid days when my skin usually gets shiny in Summer. I would definitely recommend trying this product if you have sensitive, oily or acne-prone skin as I have really enjoyed using it and it will now become part of my regular routine as my skin loves it.
Being a coloured person with oily skin, I have always struggled with finding sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white caste and doesn’t make my face shine brighter than a diamond.
I love that this sunscreen does not leave my face looking like Casper! It also blends in quite easily and doesn’t have that signature greasy feeling that regular sunscreen does.
This sunscreen has no fragrance so it makes application more desirable.
It has a matte formula which is excellent for my oily skin.
I find that the sunscreen sits very well under my makeup.
I love this product and will happily continue using it daily.
My hands up, I'm an oily sister, especially in the heat. I'm also a pale pale snowflake and I burn just thinking about the sun. I received this in the morning just before I was about to go out and do yard work over labour weekend, the sun was out in full force it was the perfect time to put this to the test. When I say I put the XL antishine through it's paces I mean it! I was doing heavy labour in the sun, dripping sweat and wiping my face for 5 hours. Not a single speck of sunburn on my face, so I can vouch for the sun protection aspect of this suncreen with certianty. As for the anti shine aspect....well, have I found a holy grail? YES Oh my gosh I can't believe how amazing this product is, we are talking absolute matte finish, no shine at all, applied under makeup it works like a matte primer and keeps me shine free all day. A real problem I have with sunscreen is how greasy they are, especially on my face, they destroy my foundation but this is fantastic. Another reason I'm in love with this product is it also doesn't sting my eyes if I am sweating. So far I've hiked, gymed, yard work, everything and it's amazing. I will absolutely purchase this again and again. The price point is a little higher than my usual face sunscreen but for the benefits it's an absolute bargin.

No smell - tick. The smells in some sunscreens are horrible and super off putting, which is not the way considering sunscreen is an important product that everyone should be using!
Light - tick. You can barely, if at all, feel this on your skin! I have had heaps of sunscreens which feel heavy on my skin and put me off wearing them!
Oily, not thanks - tick. Other sunscreen products as I mentioned are oily, make you skin feel clogged which results in breakouts. I can confirm with wearing this... I have had no breakouts - wahoo!

Every single product I have tried I have loved. This brand has become my go-to, I now don't even worry about spending money to try a new La Roche Posay product - they seem to be unable to disappoint me!
I have oily skin, that just gets worse in summer so sunscreen can leave me very shiny and greasy. I have a feeling this is going to become my holy grail spf - it leaves skin soft and matte.
There's no shine and no 'slide' - makeup sits well atop of this.

This comes in a box with lots of information. I sense La Roche Posay to be a very transparent company, information is presented factually, without unbelievable claims. You get the feeling they mean business!
The spf is in a tube with a pump - I like the format and find it effective. With no parabens this format will prevent exposing the product to the air.
The formulation is that of a dry gel-cream. It is light and a dry-silk texture. Hard to explain, but it doesnt feel slippery.
It goes on well and feels to be absorbed. I trust in the company that the spf is indeed 50, and will confidently use as the summer heats up.
This is a fragrance-free sunscreen with a slightly thick consistency, it has a pump applicator which makes it easy to apply with no mess, I use about 5-6 pumps if I’m doing a full face, neck and ears. The finish is truly matte making it the perfect option for oily/combo skin, but suitable for anyone who prefers a matte sunscreen with zero greasiness or white cast. My skin can be sensitive to chemical sunscreens but I’ve had no problems with this at all and it doesn’t sting around the eye area. I’ve been using this for a week now and I have to say it’s probably the best sunscreen I’ve tried, it’s great knowing you’re adequately protected without compromising your look (ie. no more looking like a shiny disco ball or a chalky vampire!) if there’s one minor gripe I have it’s that the tube is quite small at only 50mls, I wouldn’t say it’s pricey at around $30 but I tend to over-apply sunscreen to ensure adequate coverage so I could probably use a whole tube very quickly. All-in-all though it’s a fantastic sunscreen, I’ll definitely be recommending it to friends and family.
I have tried a La Roche possay SPF before and it was not successful for me, so when I seen this opportunity arise I was like, maybe I should try a different one and I’m really glad I was picked for this opportunity because I really love this spf! I am a combination skin type with acne that gets irritated very quickly and also very sensitive eyes. This spf (being a dry down matte) was at first a little hard to blend but once you blend it, it’s perfect. No white cast, soaks in quickly and it looks really lovely on the skin. It sat comfortably under my make up all day and didn’t irritate my acne or my eyes! I would absolutely repurchase. Unfortunately the pump on mine did stop working - but beauty review have been kind enough to fix the issue for me. I think it was just bad luck on my part! Love the SPF tho!
This is such a nice alternative to foundation especially in summer. Its actually quite a nice cover and doesn't feel sticky at all. I love that it looks natural. And best i of all protects yourskin from that sun
