Tips: Use everyday, even during the winter 💕
This is my favourite sunscreen, especially when I am outside for a long time. Really nice lightweight formula and I know I won’t get burnt when wearing it. Doesn’t cause any irritation in my eyes like other brands can. It can leave a bit of a sheen but it’s honestly a top-tier sunscreen for me. LRP can do no wrong!
Absorbs so well! This is my go to sunscreen for the face. I just reapply every few hours throughout the day. Doesn’t leave a white shine
Tips: Apply after a few minutes after moisturising etc so it doesn’t set with moisturising and let sit and absorb before heading out.
Protects me from the sun, while keeping me moisturized. Great product I don't regret purchasing at all even though it was a little bit pricey.
Tips: Make sure to re-apply
The La Roche-Posay SPF is a lightweight, non-greasy sunscreen that is good for sensitive skin. Good sunscreen but a bit pricey.
I bought this last summer. My skin is sensitive and can be quite reactive. I use a lot of Avene but had seen this range compared quite favourably online with Avene, so was excited to see it on shelves in Aotearoa. I was looking for a new facial sunscreen, and after talking to staff at the pharmacy, bought this. The bottle is quite small and square and flat. Which is useful for ease of transportation. The fluid inside is thinnish and has a very light scent. I have found out that sometimes, when companies remove a scent to make an unscented product, the extra ingredients can be more irritating to skin than if they had left the scent in. French products, on the whole, do not remove scents. And i do think that this is a major point of difference. The lotion is easily absorbed and i can wear makeup after a setting time, but it almost evens out my skin tone as well, so don't often wear makeup with this. I have never been burnt with it on, which is a good indicator to me of its efficacy. There is no tacky, or oily feel after application, in fact sometimes I forget that I have sunscreen on. Will definitely repurchase. Not sure about the price advertised here. I bought mine for under $20.
Tips: Use it!
They say it takes 3 days to create a habit and in this case it only took me 2 days fo remeber to apply this every morning and my skin certainly has thanked me for it.
I'm always weary of what I put on my face because I am prone to breakouts and thankfully I've had none! This is most likely due to the fact the formula of this sunscreen is thin and non greasy.
I have tried it both on it's own and under my everyday makeup and for me it didn't sit well under my foundation. I noticed my foundation would look quite oily after an hour or 2. Even though this formula is non greasy could it be that it counteracts with my foundation?
Aside from using it on myself I've been applying it to my daughters face who suffers from mild to severe eczema on her face. Shes quite sensitive to what is put on her fave so we decided to do a patch test against her jawline and just wait 12 hours. It didn't sting her or irritae her so we did her whole face the next day. Same thing! It didn't bother her and her eczema didn't get inflamed. So the La Roche-Posay Anthelios XL Ultra Light SPF50+ sunscreen works well for us!
How unique is this packaging? Oblong but almost square with the lid to the side Instead of the middle. Screw top cap and triangle tip which makes for a controlled pour of the solution. You'll never end up with too much in your hands.
I quite like this product. Great for summer and all types of skin!
Tips: Patch test! Especially if you have sensitive skin.
Finally a sunscreen that does not play up with my skin! I have been loving this sunscreen. I love how it specifically designed for sensitive skin and is paraben and fragrance free. The formula is amazing. Its super light weight and it feels like you have nothing on your face and the finish is non greasy and it feels like it has a matte finish to it. No shine at all! Best of all its Spf 50+!
For years I have been struggling to find adequate sun protection for my face, due to my sensitive skin it has been difficult but I feel as if this sunscreen is a game changer.
Although the bottle is small, a little goes a long way. Life pharmacy sell this for $31.99 which isn't too bad for a sunscreen designed for sensitive skin. I will be repurchasing this for summer when my one runs out!
Tips: Shake bottle before use :)
After reading all over the News what sunscreens failed a protection test and being shocked by the findings I knew I had to up my game. Majority of sunscreens I buy are for the kids but I do like one on my face and this year I have invested a little more into the sunscreens I wear.
It’s a bit of an OCD thing of mine too - I wear sunscreen every day since I was maybe 13?? I don’t feel complete without it and if there was one thing I had to wear it would be this. So I do love my sunscreen.
I have major allergies to certain sunscreens too so have to be careful which ones I try.. and luckily this one was fine for my skin.
I also noted on the article an LRP sunscreen passed So that was good enough for me to whip into life and grab some. Plus you can test it out at life which is handy!
Some chemical burns I’ve had from certain sunscreens have shown up approx 24 hours later on myself so it’s always good to do a test patch or take some home to try. I did a test patch prior to using and thank goodness it was fine as I had already purchased. I managed to get on sale so that’s the reason I brought before trialing it out.
I love that I can wear this under makeup and it doesn’t feel heavy. I also wear it everyday and it doesn’t feel greasy or give me a slick look like some and it also doesn’t give me that Casper the ghost look either. So it’s well absorbed into the skin.
I haven’t burnt yet and I haven’t noticed freckles or change in pigment like I have noticed in previous summers. So I’m hoping it is preventing not only burning but tanning as I like to protect my face.. I’m not much of a tanner.
It’s easy to apply and well absorbed. This will last me quite a while as it’s quite a nice consistency not too thick or thin.
I haven’t had breakouts or clogged pores which is another bonus! Soooo many tend to grease up my skin of cause breakouts but so far so good even when I pile this on and makeup over the top I’ve only had one spot in the last few months and that’s probably hormonal.
Definitely rate this.
I absolutely love this screen. I have sensitive and acne prone skin. I have no problems with this. Over December holidays I had no sunburn in my face, thanks to this amazing product.
Tips: Be gentle with the quantity
