I have sensitive oily/dry combination skin and get Keratosis Pilaris and was pleasantly surprised that I got no reaction to this stuff at all, no drying out or reaction to the ingredients and it also DID NOT worsen my KP on the areas that it was applied to, BIG BONUS FOR ME! As it is my biggest and most central skin concern. I was surprised to find this product is a liquid so be careful when you first open it not to squirt it out, being a liquid it spread very easily and went for miles and absorbed really well. While it may be a small 50ml bottle the fact that it was such a spreadable and absorbent liquid made sure that it still went far enough for it to be worth my while, especially given how hard it can be for me to find something that agrees with my skin. No waiting time to put on clothing with a very, very MILD sunscreen smell, which never interfered or overwhelmed the scent of my perfume. I honestly think my antiperspirant deodorant has a stronger smell than this product. I will say even though it absorbed really well my liquid foundation didn't agree with it but my mineral powder was quite happy to co-exist so maybe stick to powder coverage when wearing make up with this sunscreen. Currently $31.99 at Life pharmacy it is on the pricey side for a sunscreen but if you have skin issues like mine you know its well worth the investment to avoid those types of reactions.

There are many things i like about this ultra light spf 50. It doesnt leave my skin feeling irritated - altho i wouldnt say that i have sensitive skin. It doesnt leave my skin feeling any oilier than normal - i do seem to get an oily tzone by the end of the day and this does not add to that. It feels extremly light weight as the product describes itself, it is also nice and thin to smooth over my face. And the packaging is super cute, unlike anything i have ever owned or used before - its quite slim and small, perfect for slipping in your handbag or packing for travel. I would quite happily use this on my whole family. Wearing this spf under makeup i havent noticed that it changes the texture or longevity of my makeup which is a bonus.
Tips: I always like to wait at least 10 minutes between applying my moisturiser/spf and my makeup which allows everything to settle in nicely.
The product comes in a medium size narrow bottle about the size of a deck of cards. It has a screw off lid and a nozzle type opening. The scent is unusual but not unpleasant. It doesn't smell like sunblock and one applied you can't smell it at all. The cream is neither thick or thin in consistency. I wasn't too sure how much was to be applied but I didn't really need too much to cover my arms and shoulders. It soaks right in so not visible once applied which can be hard to judge where you have applied cream or not. Using this product I didn't burn but I will give it another go later in summer when I can give it an even better testing at the beach.
Tips: Watch out when you open the bottle, it does pour faster than you think.
This sunscreen has a strange texture. It doesn't feel as thick as most sunscreens but it is super easy to apply. It has a nice spout that allows you to put the right amount in your hands to rub on your face. It is instantly absorbed and leaves no white streaks. My 10year old son did not like the texture, he said it feels funny. There is no smell and you can't really feel it once you have applied it. Unfortunately I was unable to test its ability to prevent sunburn because the weather has been terrible for the majority of the time I have had it. I was a little shocked at how small the bottle is though, it wouldn't last my family of 4 very long.
The first thing I noticed was the great packaging simple, effective and small enough to throw in your handbag.
Thus had a pleasant scent was nice to have a spf50 that didn't smell like sunscreen. The moisturiser was slightly runny but not so thin it drips everywhere.
I used this on my skin and it left my skin moisturised, protected and looking great. I have already told many people about thus product as its the first of its kind I have liked
Tips: Keep it with you for those dreamy long summer lunched easy to apply
I have terrible skin and most recently have had reactions to sunscreen so I was more than a little nervous to try this product, i found it to be easy to apply and absorbed well i would say be careful not to squeeze the bottle as it came out really easy. my first test run was a beautiful sunny day in the waikato on the back of the bike and I can officially day I had no reactions , no sunburn and I actually feel it helped me not get windburn as it's quite moisturizing.
Tips: Less is more, this sunscreen spreads really well so apply in small amounts to avoid wasting it
I often hate having to put sunscreen on my face as it can feel heavy and oily but not this.
It felt light and wasn't greasy on my skin. My skin is very sensitive and I had no issues at all with it.
Having very fair skin too, I love that it is SPF50+.
My makeup also stayed on well over top.
The bottle is only small at 50ml, but like other La Roche Posay products (which I love all I have tried y the way), a little goes a long way.
Tips: Perfect size to keep in your handbag
Thanks BR for putting me on this trial, I'm always up for trying a new sunscreen - living in warm Gizzy, a lot of Summer days are spent at the beach so one with a big SPF is essential!!
I was a little taken aback of the size of this product..though 50ml I wasn't expecting this to be so small. You could say this is perfect for chucking in your handbag, or even your pocket (it's literally the shape of a pocket minus the lid) to have it with you at all times. Super handy!! Much more convenient than lugging around a huge chunky tube. This one is solid hard plastic so there's no chance of squishing product out throughout your belongings, something I've been met with on more than one occassion!
What I like about the packaging is that the product comes out of a little funnel looking thing to help the product flow out controllably. The product is more on the runnier side hence the need for this, I assume.
The sunblock itself is super nice to use. It's not your typical thick sunblock, it feels really light on your skin and rubs in effortlessly. The best thing about the application is that it doesn't leave a greasy feeling at all. I also did some fitness wearing this and it didn't run all over the place. I also used this a number of times before applying my makeup and was extremely surprised how un-oily my face looked, as opposed to many other sunscreens. Huge bonus!! I never experienced any stinging in my eyes which I've experienced with other sunscreens.
I definitely LOVE this sunblock and recommend it if you don't like thick greasy sunscreens and want something light to use on your face.
Tips: Usually I have no problems coming up with tips for a product but have nothing on this one - maybe just don't forget to reapply after a swim as per the instructions on the box :)
Lets get the (teeny tiny) elephant out of the room.
This is the world's smallest sunscreen bottle. I would imagine. How is it 50ml? Is it the Tardis? Like compared to my 50ml moisturisers it's still so darn small!
Anyhoo, I've decided to trust that La Roche-Posay aren't having me on and that there is in fact 50ml in this cute asymmetric container.
The packaging by the way - genius. Sturdy, so no chance of leaks on the move, and the nozzle allows you to get just the right amount. Which by the way, is actually very little. This is a really liquidy liquid. Fragrance free and smooth, it spreads well and doesn't sit on the skin for ages.
You might be used to slathering sunscreen on, but with the Anthelios you can confidently apply it like a moisturiser I think. A nice, light layer.
I suffered no reactions to the product itself, and in spite of gardening lots in some stunning Spring weather, my face suffered no ill-effects from the sun.
I LOVE this product. LOVE IT!
I really liked using the La Roche-posay 50+ sunblock. I have senstive skin and find it hard to find a sunblock that doesnt upset my skin. I found the texture of this sunblock to be quite nice, it rubbed in to my skin really well with out leaving it greasy. My skin is actually feeling really nice at the end of the week using it so there must be something mosturzing in it. I have not been able to try it on a really sunny day yet. But will update my review once the weather warms up and i can see how it works with the sun. The sunblock i received was in a 50ml bottle so this would be a good size to slip in to my handbag
Tips: I soon discoved that i didnt need to much in my hand to cover my face. Just remember to check in the mirror before going out, had a few white bits. Give the bottle a shake before you use it.
