Interesting packaging! I’m so used to seeing huge ugly tubes of sunblock that just get thrown in the back of your car etc, this one seems fancy like you could put it in your handbag and not stress about it exploding and going everywhere in there! The sunblock is super light weight very thin didn’t notice much of a frangrance which is good I absolutely loathe sunblock and it’s smell and it’s greasy ness but this one is the best I have used! The price is a bit hefty but for all the great things mentioned above I think it ends up being worth it!

This product comes in attractive packaging. The bottle is a different shape which makes it easily identifiable from other products.
I’ve previously not found a facial SPF product that I like, as usually they leave my skin feeling greasy and make my face shiny. This product is different! Instead of greasy, this product makes my skin feel beautifully moisturised.
The product has no added fragrance, which in itself does give the product a small amount of scent. However it is not an unpleasant scent, and after application I no longer smelt the product.
A small amount went a long way and it applied easily. The consistency was more like a moisturiser than sunscreen, so it absorb nicely and quickly, leaving my skin feeling soft.
Overall I loved everything about this product, and will definitely be purchasing again. My new go to product for sun protection.
Tips: A small amount goes a long way. Remember to apply one hour before sun exposure, and reapply in prolonged sun exposure or after swimming.
I found this sunscreen really great, I have sensitive skin on my face and had no issues when using it. It's smell is pleasant for a sunscreen and I found it actually felt good on my face and not super greasy like normal sunscreen can. It's a little bit on the pricey side so i wouldn't reccomend it as your only sunscreen if you have a family. But for 1 person it's a great little bottle of sunscreen to pop in your handbag or beach bag. I would use it again as I found it great on my skin.
Tips: Dont forget to shake well before use.
When this arrived i was i little taken back in the....... im unsure why as i knew only 50ml bottle! How ever whats in this bottle was a very pleasant surprise! Its a very thin, light, almost a water texture. the applicator is a small nozzle to the left side (which i thought was strange at first) was so effective as it comes out quite fast with is its thin texture. its says fragrance free and that is true i really is. it thin constancy means a little goes along way. I really liked this as a facial sun screen so i would only use a little bit each day which makes it a great price point! also great on my little's skin so only using small amounts. the packing looks quite clinical but i like that made be be leave it does what it says! i used this on my face everyday and normally in summer sun screen everyday would leave my skin in bubble eczema and blocked pores! I also get quite a lot of pigmentation form the sun so sun screen is a must, this was so so nice it didn't unset my skin at all it was light and soaked in so fast and carry on with my routine.
i would highly recommend for anyone who has sensitive skin easy to apply a great hand bag size so can take it anywhere!
Tips: This is a great hand bag size no excuses for sunburn! and so good for your face and everyday beauty routine!
I was lucky to be chosen part of this trial team as growing up in New Zealand, slip, slip and slap was ingrained into my daily life, especially due to the hole in the ozone layer. I have naturally tanned skin and I often get burnt by the sun during summer even with sunscreen on, so I was pretty curious to see how well the La Roche-Posay facial sunscreen will work for my skin. The sunscreen is packaged in a box with one of the cutest bottles I’ve ever seen. It’s shaped in a mini sunblock bottle in 50ml size, which is perfect to keep and carry around in the handbag. It’s supposed to be fragrance free, but it smells like just any other sunblock. This sunscreen was particularly created for the face and is perfect for sensitive skin.
I followed the instructions on the packaging, by first shaking the bottle well before applying it on clean skin at least 15-20 minutes before exposure. The bottle opening has a nozzle where the sunscreen easily came out. I found the sunscreen to be quite runny, which is very different to other sunscreens. The formula is white in colour and the texture is light and non-greasy. I dotted my face with the sunscreen, so there was an even coverage as I rubbed it in and then applied it to my neck, chest and ears, as they were exposed as well. I have oily skin and I was amazed at how non-greasy it was as my skin felt smooth and supple without any shine. I went about to do my usual facial routine with applying moisturiser and makeup afterwards. My makeup lasted the whole day without it fading or running down my face in the heat and I also didn’t get a burning sensation in my eyes which I get when the sunscreen runs down my eyes due to the sweat in the heat. I also didn’t feel the burn on my skin and it didn’t turn red at all while I was making the most of being outdoors in the beautiful sunny weather for a good few hours.
Overall, I think this is a great sunscreen and I would repurchase it at some point. My only concern is how much will it cost me if I had to repurchase this as the bottle is so opaque, I can’t see how much if it I have used and to me it feels as if I’ve already used half of it. So, in that sense if I had to purchase it every 2 – 3 weeks for $32 I don’t know if I’m personally willing to spend all that money as I’d prefer to get one that lasts me a few months.
Tips: Use sunscreen throughout the year as there are still harmful UV rays about. Also, regardless of what colour of the rainbow you are, it's still important to lather up in sunscreen.
I was fairly shocked when I opened this to see how small it is - it's definitely a very small quantity for the price. I'm not a huge fan of the asymmetrical packaging from a purely aesthetic standpoint, but it seems to be good quality and sturdy.
The sunscreen itself is a surprisingly thin liquid, although it doesn't spread quite as far as I was expecting considering the consistency.
The texture is incredible, though. It's a beautiful velvety finish - no oiliness or greasiness to be found. Makeup sat perfectly on top of it, or if I didn't use makeup my skin felt natural and fresh. I'm extremely impressed by how well it sits on skin and how good it feels.
The complete lack of scent is wonderful - I hate using scented products on my face so sunscreen has always been a necessary evil, whereas this was genuinely nice to use.
I can't speak to how well it works as I didn't get much sun exposure during the trial period, but it gets top marks for being the most wearable sunscreen I've ever used.
Tips: I found it absorbed quite quickly into my skin, so applying it after moisturising helped it spread a little further.
I was really pleased to see when I got this sunscreen to trial that it was suitable for sensitive skin. Oh and French made sounded appealing. I have been using everyday on my face and neck area. Often under my makeup but I have also worn it on it's own. It didn't seem to affect my makeup and how it stayed on throughout the day which was a plus! When used on it's own it did leave my face looking a little bit greasy (although supposedly it doesn't) but that eventually went away after half an hour. It comes in a little bottle and is definately a runny liquidy type fluid. The first time I used it I somehow managed to get it everywhere so pays to use with caution. I didn't have any sensitivity which is another plus and it smells alright. It is also paraben free. That being said I probably wouldn't purchase this product in future simply because I'm not a huge fan of the packaging and how the product comes out/the bottle design. A good facial sunscreen overall, just wish it came in different packaging.
At first I was a little shocked it was such a little nozzle on the bottle. But once I used it, you definitely only need a small nozzle as the product is quite thin, which some of us are definitely not used to when it comes to sunscreen.
I found the product easy to apply, its thin which makes it easier to apply to your face and to me felt like i was just applying moisturiser. it didn't feel heavy on my skin and for once i didn't come up with spots or anything either. It's not greasy like most sunscreens which I quite liked.
I wore it several times in one week to see if there was a difference and not once did it cause a reaction, and i didnt get sunburnt which lately has been a concern with the spring sun (when its out).
It doesn't really have a fragrance either which i quite liked as i find normal sunscreens etc have a bit of a funky smell to them.... but this has been fantastic.
The bottle is a unique shape and size which means its easier to find in the mornings when getting ready too! I love the fact the bottle is small as it means it will be easy to travel etc with too, as you can just pop it in your handbag etc.
Only issue I have with the bottle is you cant really see how much is left in the bottle.
Tips: Keep it in your handbag or in your bathroom for easy access every day as its totally worth wearing especially with our changing weather and with coming into summer! Its brilliant!
The La Roche-Posay sunscreen is a nice light lotion for skin. It doesn't leave white marks and offers a 50+ sun protection rating, which I need in summer. It's not greasy and I can layer it under my makeup. It's suitable for my sensitive skin, which is great! I'm not fond of the bottle it is in. I find that it is deceptively small. Also, I read the ingredients and from what research I've done on sunscreen, I'm not a big fan of the ingredients they use for sun protection. This is purely a personal preference thing however. I do like it, and it does what it says it does.
Tips: I read somewhere once that you need to let sunscreen sit 8 minutes or so before applying makeup on top. This won't disrupt the protection it offers.
This product came with perfect timing as its that time of year to step up my sunscreen game! Im rather light skinned and can easily burn if not careful.
I spend alot of time hiding from the sun so am excited to use this over summer as it is 50+ SPF.
First impression was that the packaging is very simple and to the point. The bottle is different from what ive ever used before but I found I liked it. When you take the lid off it has a kinda like fine point that the product comes out of which I found helped me with how much product I dispersed from it, usually I find I end up with too much in my hand and have to waste a bit wipin it off. Also loved the rectangular shape as I could stand it up with no fear of it falling and wasting product.
It says that it is non-perfumed, which I found to be true. It had a extremely suttle scent which is to be expected, but that is hardly noticeable.
The packaging says it is fluid and to shake well. I found it to be so but was happy with the consistency of the product. Found that it was easy to apply and felt that it dried quickly which I liked.
I think this may be my go to this summer!
Tips: Keep this on a shelf in your bathroom (or where ever you do your makeup etc) to help remind you to apply it every day before you leave the house.
