Tips: Apply at night time its think and make your hand sweaty
I'll admit, I was concerned when I squeezed this product onto my hand as it seemed quite thick and had a Vaseline type texture. Fear not, once I rubbed my hands together it seemed to 'melt' and was easy to smooth over my hands. It also absorbed easily despite an initial glossy appearance on my hands which looked like it may not absorb but this was very temporary. I like that it had no fragrance because you need to let one scent shine and that's usually perfume but with so many fragranced products these days from body moisturiser to deodorant to face cremes it becomes on big floral bouquet so I prefer non-scented. After 4-5 uses my hands definitely felt softer and the more intense moisturise is perfect for winter months when skin is dryer.
Tips: A little goes a long way.
I got to review Cicaplast mains , it contains Niacimide and glycerine and retails at around $15 dollars I like it ,however after applying it my hands feel very hot ,I find it a bit heavy as well .
Is a bit sticky and greasy however this hand cream works! the next day my hands feel softer and less dry , I don't like much the sensation of feeling my hands hot but I can live with that!
if you have very dry hands you should totally give this hand cream a go it would help .
Tips: Apply as often as you need
Received this in the CBBBE. Stand up white tube with black and blue writing highlighting ingredients. Was expecting a cream but has a more creamy gel consistency. Reminds me of a baby's barrier cream or silicone based primer. No scent. Skin feels slightly greasy after applying.
Don't tend to use as much as a standard handcream as this is quite concentrated. I use a thumbnail size amount. have also noticed that I don't need to reapply as often throughout the day. Even after regular handwashing and sanitising.
Overall my hands are less dry and better protected. This is a really good handcream option.
Having young kids and being a clean freak my hands were suffering well before the year 2020 hit. Lately they have been starting to crack and split so when I saw trial teams for this go out I knew I needed to give it a go. Luckily I was able to purchase through the vault.
The tube is very small and I would get through in a week if I used like normal hand cream so I apply before bed but probably ok for normal hand washers. The product itself is not a cream but more than an ointment which is fine as leaves more of a protective barrier and feels like it sinks in better. It's pretty economical as you dont need to use much. There is absoutely no fragrance which is a good thing when your hands are dry and sore.
My hands definitely feel less tight and cracks appear to be healing way faster than my usual handcreams. Its especially hydrating for the thicker skin around the knuckles and between fingers that other handcreams aren't able to do.
It definitely feels like a deluxe product and I've been researching other products and I'm very scared for my bank balance.
Tips: If your like me and constantly washed during the day apply just before bed so it has a chance to stay on and not get washed off five minutes later.
I got this barrier creme in the Christmas BBBE. I'm not a huge fan of Roche Posay, I wouldn't go out to deliberately buy their products, but I had to say it was timely to get this product. Like most people I have been washing my hands a lot, and they are quite dry.
So this product comes in a 50ml tube. It has the standard flip top lid, easy to use, and you can count on getting all of the product out of the tube when you get near the end.
It is thick a white-ish. As soon as it hits my hands it absorbs and they feel instantly soft.I haven't noticed any scent, which is fine with me. It only takes a small amount of product to cover my hands and make them feel good. There's not much to say about a hand cream really, but I can this one is one of the best I've tried.
Overall a great product and well worth $16.99. Definitely recommend it.
Tips: Use as often as necessary to keep your hands soft and smooth.
I got this in my Christmas BBBE box and I knew the best person to give this to. My Nana gets really dry hands that get cracked. She absolutely loves this stuff!! It definitely does work. I tried it a couple of times but found it left a bit of a film on my hands, but my hands aren't that dry. Definitely recommend though.
I was pleased to try the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Mains Hand Cream. It was a good size for my handbag and being only 50ml meant I could take it on a plane as I travel a lot. The product was non greasy and absorbed quickly into my skin but it did have a slight after smell which I was not fan of. I did notice a difference in hand texture as I suffer from chronic dry and split hands (which got worse during the hand sanitiser period). If I applied this in the evenings I could tell immediately in the morning that my hands felt more hydrated and smoother. I also noticed a big difference in my cuticle health. I would definitely use this product again.
Tips: I preferred to use this at night. That's when I noticed the health of my hands improve.
I really needed a good barrier cream as I’ve been washing dishes at work 2 days a week and because I can’t wear gloves my hands started to dry out terribly, started peeling and were generally in a very bad shape. This hand cream was so nice to use, instantly soothing and stopped the peeling in just a few days due to me being able to use this at work as it sinks in so fast, could reapply without anyone noticing as it has no scent and no sticky residue, so I could go back to what I was doing in an instant, rather than standing waiting for the hand cream to soak in and colleagues asking me what smells so nice, hence why I started using my hand creams only in my lunch breaks, but this cream changed this! My very first unscented hand cream and it was such a nice surprise, I thought I wouldn’t enjoy using it much as I’m so used to scents in hand creams and I like getting a quick smell after applying it, but I didn’t miss the scents as much as I thought I would. It didn’t work as well as a barrier cream though as it wears off rather fast and my hands get dry pretty fast again, so had to reapply often. Same at home when I wasn’t doing anything it just felt like I hadn’t put any hand cream on after an hour, so had to reapply and it’s definitely not for night, I really need a heavy, oily, sticky hand cream for the night to not wake up with dry hands, this cream just couldn’t handle that job. I think this hand cream is great for people who are sensitive to scents and can’t stand the stickiness, not heavy duty though and if your hands are overworked, oversensitized this can’t be used as a stand-alone product, but I definitely noticed a difference as I wasn’t able to use a hand cream at work this often before, so it’ll stay in my bag and will use other hand creams at home. I will definitely repurchase this to keep using at work, this is an absolute gem for me!
I'm not completely sold on this one, although don't get me wrong, it was really nice but I just didn't find it overly special/ I've tried others similar.
The consistency is really nice, it's quite thick but still easy to get out of the tube, and it glides on really nicely and sort of melts in to your hands. When I first used it I thought that it was going to leave my hands with a sort of greasy film over them but it didn't, so that was great. A little does go a long way with this product, so it would end up lasting a long time. I like that it was also fragrance free, it's a nice change from some of the other overly perfumed hand creams out there. I did find that around my fingers/cuticles was still quite dry which I was hoping this cream would fix, but they haven't seemed to budge too much. I will keep giving this a go though!
