La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Eye Serum

recieved this product from the beauty vault and oh what a score it is. I noticed the difference after 3 days but after seven and now two weeks my eyes are less puffy, bright under eyes, I didnt have much of dark under eyes, but after using the eye serum I have noticed a much brighter under eye area, visible fine lines have reduced massively since using the serum. Highly recommend this product if wanting to try out eye serums or wanting a change.

I really like this product. The roller is really nice and smooth on my skin and it doesn't feel like it drags my skin when I roll it along. The syrum it's self is lovely and thin and soaks into my skin really well and I don't feel like there's a residue left on top of my skin afterwards. I havent really seen any results around my eyes but I definitely notice my eyes get less puffy very quickly in the morning after using it, they usually take about half an hour to de-puff but after using this serum it's about 10 mins. I will keep using this product and will come back with an updated review if I see any results.

Do I really need a serum just for my eyes? After using this blue gem of a product the answer is...yes!

This is easy to apply and absorbs well. I like to use it morning and night before my moisturiser. In the morning it makes my eyes feel refreshed and awake and at night it soothes my tired eyes.

This has had a noticeable effect on my crows feet, smoothing out the wrinkles rather nicely!

I'm becoming a big fan of La Roche-Posay. Beauty Review got me hooked, so I was so excited for this trial product!

The packaging is classic LRP; it's simple, it's clean, it's timeless. It skews neither old nor young.

I like the applicator although it was bit messy and a little too easy to overuse the product, but practise makes perfect there

It's fragrance free and suitable for sensitive eyes, I experienced no irritation at all

This was instantly tightening, it's like an eye lift. In a comfortable way! I love the way this cools and soothes the whole eye area.

The one things I don't enjoy is the stickyness of the product. For example if I apply it and don't touch it, my eye area feels sticky just by lightly squinting my eyes. Makeup sits ok on top though so it's not a deal breaker.

Overall this is a great product, if a little quirky. So if you're in to quirky eye serums; stick with me!

The glass dropper bottle is super cute, but colour me surprised when I opened it to find out the dropper dispenser has a metal ball on the end. It feels cooling and soothing on the eye area and is a nice touch. However, I'm not entirely sure you need the dropper itself seeing as how the product coats the ball and outside of the dispenser. So, love the applicator, unsure of the need for a dropper dispenser too.

The liquid is clear not blue. That's fine I can enjoy the smurf blue bottle every day.

So, you need to read the instructions here. If you don't this is what will happen. You'll apply it, probably too much of it, and it will feel sticky, tacky, gunky. Like it will not absorb.

Read the instructions and you learn you're not meant to use loads of product, you're supposed to distribute it round the eye area with the applicator and then YOU HAVE TO PAT IT IN. I've long since thrown out the box, but I'm pretty sure they use the word pat. As in lightly pat the excess product with your fingertips. It makes all of the difference.

Now I will not lie. There is a slight stickiness to the product, however that disappears under moisturiser or makeup, and if you don't put anything on top, sure it feels sticky, but it doesn't pil and it isnt visible, so yeah, it's just a bit...quirky.

The effects are where it's at though right? And this is a really effective product. I'm using this twice a day, the skin around my eyes is brighter, tighter and smoother. I look more awake and I think this is having a very positive impact on the fine lines.

I will look to repurchase, quirks n all!

La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Serum is packaged in a small blue colored glass bottle, with a total of 15mls of product. The applicator is dropper style with the small silver metal ball on the end to roll over the eye area for a cooling effect. It is easy and convenient to use and I enjoyed using the applicator, the cooling effect was nice.

I found because of this nice cool ball that rolls over the eye I had the tendency to keep wanting to roll over the area, however the product is very sticky and too much product dispensed made the sickness far worst. I found it so sticky in fact, even when modified to use less product that my hair would stick to the area which I didn't like and I could feel it there on the skin, rather than it absorbing nicely.

As far as results go I didn't see anything to rave about. I would recommend my friends and family other products for a similar price point over this one, however I don't suffer dark under eye circles which is claims to improve.

I found this product a really welcome addition to my routine, as someone who doesn’t tend to use eye cream I was impressed by how light the formula was, at first it felt a little sticky but once I patted it in it felt super hydrating. I loved the cooling roller ball application, it was such a soothing treat at the beginning and end of each day. The pipette was really easy to use and the control on the roller ball meant that I wasn’t flooded with product. After two weeks I’ve used maybe an 8th of the bottle so you’ll definitely get a good few months out of it, the pipette does not go all the way to the bottom though so at some point you will end up dabbing the serum onto your finger. I really have noticed a difference in my general eye area it is much brighter and definitely more hydrated…I’ve even been using it on a pesky frown line. I found that my make up still sat well over the top of it, no creasing or pilling at all. A major for me is that I’ve noticed no sensitivity, usually at this time of year I get a pesky bit of eczema near my eyes that I haven’t seen yet (fingers crossed!)

This product was something I was excited for as love the idea of cooling products for the eyes and am a huge fan of the cooling gel under eye patches.

Unfortunately that’s where a lot of my excitement for the product ends as I don’t feel like it’s any better then any of the other eye serum products on the market and I didn’t notice any huge difference in my under eyes.

That being said it’s a very nice consistency, the little ball is cooling but seems a little like a gimmick.

The product absorbs very quickly, does not leave any sticky residue and does not seem To react badly to any of my other products.

Pros - product absorbs really quickly - is not fragranced

- alot of product comes out of the dropper while your trying to apply it

I was very excited about trying this one. Normally this would be over my budget. So was looking forward to seeing what a more expensive product was like. The first thing I noticed was the metal roller. When you use it to roll the product on, if you don't have enough product, it drags on your skin. It did this probably 75% of the 3 weeks I have been using it. It is also a firm pressure to roll it across. There was no scent, which was good as sometimes I get allergic to a lot of fragrances. When you put it on, it leaves a slight sticky feel to it once dry. I think it my skin under my eyes slightly hydrated. I don't think I would spend that money to buy it.

A cute wee package with a very clinical look, La Roche Posay keeps its simple straight to the point, with its no fuss “look at me” branding and direct box, A glass vial with a interesting dropper greets me and so does my expectation of something great. Applying is very easy, use minimal amounts and it will last forever, the texture is somewhat silky, and the eye dropper design gives you just enough to give that fresh look. It doesn’t take long for the cooling effect to begin to kick in, that I thought, hey this might actually work, within a couple of hours the puffiness of below my eyes were begining to leave and the darker circles started to fade, using every day for the last week and a bit has dramatically reduce the appearance of overworked and over tired eyes, the cooling sensation is welcomed and I actually look forward to my morning routine of applying, There is nothing bad to say about this product I think they’ve really achieved something great! There is no smell, no greasy after feel and wow I am so impressed !
