This face cream comes in a transparent sealed pump bottle that can twist to lock and seals from germs so harsh preservatives aren't needed. The bottle is practical but still looks expensive and nice. It's perfect for travelling as it seals to prevent leakage and not bulky.
I have sensitive, dry, eczema-prone skin that is prone to clogged pores/breakouts. This face cream goes on very smoothly and absorbs quickly without any greasy residue. I've been using it for just over a week now and it hasn't caused any more clogged pores. It's also very moisturising but not heavy and shiny so would be suitable for any skin type.
This cream contains squalane oil which I've been raving about for a while now - for me it's a miracle oil and the only oil my face can tolerate without getting irritated. It's found naturally in the skin so it absorbs easily and doesn't feel greasy, but is very silky and moisturising.
The only downside to this face cream is the price - $45 for 40mL. I use 2 pumps for my face (around pea size) and haven't seen a reduction in product yet, so it may last a while. If it doesn't last long enough to justify the high price then I may switch back to the cheaper option - nivea soft cream + squalane oil!
The lightweight feel of this moisturiser belies just how powerful it is. It's super absorbent and skin simply drinks it in. I found it left my face feeling plump and moisturised. In the morning, it was perfect under sunscreen and then makeup. It left my skin with just the right amount of dewiness and the lack of fragrance made it feel like I wasn't wearing anything at all- just how I like it!
As someone with quite finicky skin, I wasn't nervous to try this product; I knew it had none of the ingredients that my skin could kick up a fuss about. No alcohol, perfumes, parabens, lanolin, colourants, basically no nasties. After a week of daily use, I've had no adverse reactions, and for me, that's a win!
The ultra-hermetic packaging means that it stays fresh right to the last drop- and that no product is left behind. This is important if you're going to spend close to $50 on a face cream.
The claim that this cream 'intensely hydrates' is, in my opinion, a slight stretch. At night, I still layer a heavier cream over the top and during the day, I've noticed a couple of pesky dry patches hanging around.
On the whole, I love this cream and it's one I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to my nearest and dearest. If you have super dry and needy skin like mine, this works as a great base to build upon.
Tips: Don't be afraid to use more than one pump! Two did the trick for me.
