Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate Review

I'm going to start with the only potential negative, which is the cost. This is definitely an investment in skin care, it's not one to pick up on a whim that's for sure - I'd recommend trying a sample first. Chances are you'll be wowed enough to buy it!

I am ticking along in years and coming up to December was feeling a little fed up about my lines and wrinkles. A recent birthday only compounded the grumpiness about my ageing face. So thanks BR, this came at the right time!

The bottle and packaging are pure class, what else would you expect from Lancome?

I've been using this twice a day after cleansing. I've been applying as I would my usual serum when my skin is ever so slightly damp - it seems to help the serum absorb faster and spread easier, without sitting on the skin.

I experience no untoward sensations upon application, but I can feel the product, if that makes sense.

I like to wait around 3-5 minutes before applying my usual moisturiser, just to ensure this is probably absorbed.

After several weeks of use my skin looks and feels remarkably better than before. The texture is more even, less crepey and saggy. Tighter, without being tight. It's plumped up my fine lines and I believe my deeper wrinkles are at the beginning of looking improved.

My skin feels incredibly soft and supple, I don't feel like the dry old crone of just a few weeks ago.

This isn't exactly botox in a jar - but nor did I expect it to be. But as serums go, this is the best I've tried and I honestly don't think it can be surpassed. I will continue use while I put some money aside to replenish when this bottle is empty!

This facial serum comes in a luxe glass bottle. The lid has a dropper with the required amount that you dispense in your palm and dot over your face, then finish off with smoothing strokes. The serum is clear and contains probiotics.

Initially my skin needed more than one dropper of serum and now that my skin has improved I just need the one.

My skin feels smooth, slightly firmer and is more youthful in touch and appearance. I have used this morning and night for approximately 3 weeks so yes it has met it's initial claims. The next claim is for major signs of ageing appear improved after using one bottle so I will add to this review if I notice further improvements.

This sank into my skin and definitely improved the texture. Would I buy this? Yes if it was in my budget.

This product is packaged beautifully, the bottle is lovely with a nice silver lid. I have found the bottle easy to open and it has a nice dropper to apply a small amount to your face. A little goes a long way. It is silky smooth and has a pleasant scent. I apply a drop to my forehead, cheeks and chin, it spreads well and absorbs into skin nicely with no residue. My skin is sensitive and even using it twice a day I have not reacted to it. I use it in the morning under my foundation. My skin is looking smooth and glowing. I would definitely recommend this product.

I was extremely fortunate to be selected to trial the Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate and I am so excited to share this review! This is more than a serum - its an experience. The bottle hints at the magic within by resembling a magic potion with a very unique, yet very functional dispenser inside the lid. You simply open the bottle and the dropper loads with the perfect amount of serum. Push the button at the top of the lid and the dropper empties the contents. Simple as even for a ditsy blonde like me! The serum itself is a cloudy liquid which spreads easily on to the face and absorbs quickly. I always found one dropper load was enough to do my entire face, except for my eyes. Because I was lucky enough to also get the eye serum I didn't use this in my eye area. The results are truly magic. My skin hasn't been this soft for years and my fine lines have definitely reduced in visibility. After just over 2 weeks of usage, twice a day, I have noticed such a difference I think I will never live without it in my bathroom again. Yes it is pricey at around $120 a 30 ml bottle but honey you are so worth it!

The great experience all starts with the bottle - what a beautiful elegant shape and colour that you're happy to have left out in the bathroom. The 'button' on the top was a neat way to draw and release liquid from the stem. So from a classy, chic experience perspective, top marks. Most importantly, it did the job and a little went a long way. It was easy to apply and absorbed quickly before I applied my moisturiser. My skin has not felt dry at all which is something I can experience at this time of year. I highly recommend this product - going to be a 2021 favourite.

Love love love this product! It smells pleasant without being overpowering. It is really easy to apply, the little dropper contains just the right amount for the entire face and even enough for down the neck. My skin definitely has more of a glow but sadly the wrinkles are still there. Although the product is a little pricey my skin does feel amazing so I do think it is worth the money. Really happy I got to trial this, definitely keen to keep using this product, my skin loves it!

Thank you soooo much for giving me the opportunity to try this beautiful product. I’ve had my eye on this serum for a while but was hesitant to spend over $100 on something I’d never tried. I’m actually excited about this serum as it’s what I’ve been searching for for years. It hydrates but doesn’t leave me greasy or oily in fact it sinks in within seconds so is almost invisible. You get the perfect amount in the dropper as it refills when it’s screwed shut. I dropped this the other day and almost cried but because of the solid (beautiful) packaging it was absolutely fine. I think it’s definitely firmed my skin especially around my jaw line and my fine lines on my forehead seem less visible. I have continued using a Retinol serum every few nights over the top of this and it was a lovely combination. Lancôme isn’t a cheap brand but now I know how well this works I can’t see myself being without it. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an anti aging serum, especially if you have oily or combination skin.

Firstly, my skin, pre-trial. I'm mid 40's so have all the ageing issues - dull skin, fine lines, and some pigmentation. The odd break out at the most inconvenient moments too.

The Génifique Youth Activating Concentrate is packaged beautifully as you'd expect. The bottle is a good size, and holds a fair amount of product. The glass bottle comes with a dropper that pre-measures/loads the serum into the dropper every time you close the cap (Genius!) and you just click the button on the dropper to release the serum. No waste, no over-using product, and unlike other droppers I didn't find the product leaking before you get it on the skin. The packaging/dispensing was really impressive. Loved it!

I used this serum after toning and followed with an oil and my moisturiser. The product itself goes onto the skin so smoothly and absorbs really quickly. It is the perfect amount, though seems small until you apply it to your skin. I'm so glad for the measured dispenser as without it I think I'd be tempted to use more! It absorbs and leaves no residue at all

When I first started using it, my skin felt soft morning and night, and makeup sat well over it. After about a week, my skin hadn't broken out and there was a definite shift in radiance. I felt a little happier about my skin - braved a BB cream instead of the usual foundation. At about 2 weeks I started to notice what I thought was the pigmentation fading - usually largish orange marks on the side of my face, they'd turned a peachy colour. Fine lines were blurred, and found no foundation was able to cake in the lines - yeeha! Now at week 3, I'm super thrilled about the fading of the pigmentation. My skin glows, and is hydrated and even the skin tone is more even. The deep wrinkles - not much change, but I can live with that, and imagine with longer use, they might get a little better too!

Overall, this is a great product, that does what it claims. It's not a miracle worker, but it does vastly improve your skins appearance, and anything that deals to pigmentation is a friend of mine. I think it's the first serum product where I've seen such a dramatic visual change in brightening the skin and fading pigmentation in a really short time frame of use.

Love the bottle, and the dispenser - fabulous. It makes the price point more bearable as you know you're not wasting product. It is pricey - but from the 3 weeks of use,

I can't see me not having it in my routine. Yes it's pricey, but it will last if you stick to the amount dispensed. I've even eyed up some of the Lancôme Christmas Gift packs which have this product in it (and hinted to hubby)! If you can afford it, I highly recommend this serum. Thank you BR again.... At 45 years old, my skin isn't too bad, but it can look a little dull and uneven at times. So anything that can counteract the aging process by helping my skin to look and feel better is always a welcome addition to my skincare regime.

Naturally, a powerful, anti-aging serum is going to be something on my radar because, let's face it, turning back the clock on one's skin is a difficult process. It can be done though - to a degree, but only with the right products.

This concentrate comes in a luxurious-looking black box - I loved the black and silver colour combo straight away! And the actual bottle that the serum is encased in almost looks like a fancy perfume bottle. Another clever design feature is that you just click the top of the lid to dispense the serum into the palm of your hand. It's a really cute design - but also user-friendly.

The fragrance is nice - subtle, so not overpowering. It also feels very refreshing and cooling when I apply it to my skin, so there's a pampering factor when using it as well. It's so pleasant that it leaves me looking forward to applying more to my skin at the end of each day.

A serum can feel and smell as fancy as it wants, but if it doesn't deliver, then what is the point? I had high expectations for this product because, coming from Lancome, you expect quality. Lancome's 'The Sleeping Mask', for example, has been one of my all-time favourite skincare products for a while now. So I was really hoping this concentrate would not let me down. And, indeed, it does not. It delivers exactly what I expected it to - and more. My skin feels so much firmer and healthier since I started using this product. And it looks a lot less dull!!

The claim on the back of the box is that your skin will look younger and more radiant within 7 days. Well, I tell you what, that is the truth. I'll also tell you something else: during lockdown, I'd been a bit naughty and did not really pay as much attention to my skin as I normally do. So, it'd been a bit drier than usual, and duller-looking - older - after a weird year of lockdowns and Covid restrictions. But Lancome have helped me get on top of my skincare regime again with this miracle in a (very sleek-looking) bottle. My skin does feel better for using it. As for my skin's appearance, it is nowhere near as dull and it's also made it look healthier and more even-toned. So, yes, dare I say it, it's helped me to feel and look that little bit younger, and that's a real confidence boost.

I recommend this for all skin types, and particularly for those of us on the wrong side of 40 who need a skin pick-me-up and a good boost. Lancome at their finest. Five kisses.

First off, I loved the packaging, the easy twist self-filling eye dropper and the sleek silver to ombré bottle. The scent was very mild and pleasant. The serum was quite fluid and I found I needed 2 drops rather than the one as it just wasn't enough.

The cap was a little tricky as the bottom silver band wasn't stuck fast to the bottle and I didn't realise the cap needed to 'click' into place to close properly. It didn't matter as the seal was good enough that I didn't lose any of the product when I stored it on its side in a draw.

I used this product daily since receiving it for review (2.5 weeks) and I can't say I have seen any results even though it claims results can be seen as early as 7 days.

Regardless, I enjoy the pamper pseudo spa experience and its a little bit of luxury for my tired end-of-day face and makes my skin feel great. I am hanging in there for results.
