I really love the Heat patches! I have PCOS and I get bad pain on just one side so this really helps as I only use it on the one side. I love that I can wear it out of the house as I normal have leaving the house when its that time of the month. They have also made it so I can sleep a lot better which is fantastic!

Tips: While this Heat Patches are great if you have bad period pain you will probably still need to take pain relief but this help so much I think everyone should try them!
I really like the Heat patches! I have endo and I get really bad pains every time i get a period. I love that I can wear it out of the house.because as a busy mum staying at home when its that time of the month just to have my hottie just can't be done. although they could make them a little hotter
Tips: keep up with the panadol every 4 hrs
There is nothing more satisfying than heat on your tummy during that time of the month. I was so excited when i got my first Libra Hottie Heat Patch, it stuck perfectly and didn't come unstuck by itself. Mine stayed warm for ages, i think it must have stayed warmer with my body heat too. Just perfect!
I had heard a few things about this here and there in the BR Forums and around the place, and so when I found them at Countdown for $5ish dollars and I couldn't wait to get my period (who says that!?!) to use them.
I didn't really read the box when I bought so I was disappointed to see only two foil packets. Finally the big red day came and with it the mother of all cramps. I was almost bed ridden but then I remembered I had these things so I dragged my broken body into the bathroom to get one. I ripped open the packaging and as I pulled off the sticky labels off I read the packet.
The sticky patch is, ironically, pad shaped. It's mostly a big square of black under the white protective fabric and two sticky wings on each end. The paper on the sticky's was hard to get off and I ended up ripping the paper several times before getting it off fully. The hot pad heats up in the natural air, and even after all of this I felt no warmth coming off of the heat pad. I stuck it to myself anyway and hoped for the best.
An hour later, I still couldn't feel any heat coming from the hot pad. I carefully pulled the sticky's off, which was mildly uncomfortable in its own, but the pain took my mind off the cramp briefly. I kept it in my pocket but it didn't get any hotter than lukewarm. My cramp required something a bit more than lukewarm, but I don't think I got a dud. I wouldn't buy these again, and I hate to be a hater but I found these absolutely useless.
Its so good for when you get a cramp and have to use a heat patch discreetly. And it works very well and gets rid of the cramps
I prefer alot of heat when I have pain and this just didnt cut the mustard. I understand it prob hard from a safety side of things to get it hotter but it just wasnt the product for me.
As I suffer from cramps I thought these would do the trick, but I was very disappointed when the heat patch only heated up to a luke-warm temperature. You can feel the warmth on your fingers but not on the rest of your body, as it quickly adapts to the feeling. The adhesive pulled my hairs which made it uncomfortable, but other than that it was a satisfactory experience.
Tips: Try a hot water bottle instead
I had such high hopes for these but they did not live up to their promises and I will not be purchasing them (I tried them through a free sample). I found that they felt weird and uncomfortable on my skin and didn't really heat up to a temperature that did anything to relieve pain/discomfort.
They are also quite expensive for something that you might be using quite a lot.
Tips: Reading through the other reviews, it seems that they did actually work for a lot of other people, so I would probably buy them once and give them a go as everyone's body is different and they may just work for you.
Such a great idea but they unfortunately don't deliver. I received a sample in the post and tried it out as soon as I had the chance. Wasn't impressed- the heat pad is too small, doesn't warm up hot enough and loses it's effect too soon (i'm guessing my body got use to it too quickly). You are better off just taking a couple painkillers and if you can using a hot water bottle.
I have been using this product today, I put it on at 7am and have taken it off at 1pm during this time the adhesive has caused bright red welts across my skin.
the heat is very low-I would rather use a wheat bag.
the packaging of product is good, bright colours but the actual product looks like a giant sanitary pad..
I really feel this product didn't heat up enough and I had to push on the product to actually feel the heat
