Please make hotter

Suffering from Endo, I was very excited to try this product, I spend many nights with a traditional wheatbag on my tummy.

I like how discrete and portable this product is, allowing me to use it in places without a microwave or where it would be inappropriate to have a wheat bag. Such as at my wedding which is what these were purchased for.

Unfortunately they don't get as hot as I would like to provide much relief. But they do make me a little more comfortable and feel like I am doing something. I also found I only got around 2 hours of warmth not the five advertised on the packet.

Being a bit bigger sized would be an improvement.

Not a substitute for a wheat bag but a portable option!

Tips: Also handy when you are cold, such as rugby games or camping!

great idea

I bought a pack of these once and used them on my way to work and when i was at work. They are a fantastic idea, but i found the heat didn't last very long. I wold prefer to spend my money on a wheat bag and heat that up and reuse.

More superficial comfort than anything else. . .

The first day of my period is always cramp city, and so anything that promises to help with that gets a go!

Obviously you can't place these directly on the source of womanly monthly pain - they go on the outside of where it hurts. For me, as for most, that's lower belly.

Libra Hotties Heat patches certainly aren't discreet in their bright blue and orange packaging - but the packaging is clear and distinctive, and instantly vibes warmth. They also don't look like a 'period product' per se - and indeed, you can use these on other spots of sore/tender muscles etc, like back, shoulders and feet.

You open the package, extract the heat patch, and remove the adhesive seals and random paper cover from the centre. These begin to heat up on contact with the air - it's a slow process, which can take up to an hour to be noticeable.

The adhesive is reasonable (even if it does resemble the adhesive on pads, and probably is the same one they use for those!) and allows you to place the patch directly, and cover it with clothing.

Once adhered, the patch is almost undetectable, unless you're wearing tighter clothes (and who does that during their monthly?).

These heat up noticeably, but not to the degree I was expecting initially. It's a pleasant warm sensation, rather than the heat you get from a hot water bottle etc. It lasts a decent length of time - but you're advised not to sleep with them on so that's of more use during the day.

These cure exactly nothing, but (much in the same way a glass or wine or some chocolate can help fix a bad day) they actually do make me feel better. Maybe it's a placebo effect. Maybe it's the simple comfort of doing something to help. Maybe it is actually the heat. Who knows. But they're worth having on standby for those 'omg ow I hate being a chick today' days :)

Tips: Go to one of the Japanese shops (if you're near one, anyway) and you can get a much bigger pack of a very similar product for cheaper. They're called 'kairo' in Japanese and you can get adhesive ones as well.

Not For Me!

I got a few free samples of these, and they're basically mini hotties that stick to you and help with period cramps.

In my opinion, they don't work as well as hotties, but they're really discreet. I like the fact that you can do your normal, everyday things with these. The heat lasts for a long time! However, I found they didn't stick too well. If I was walking around wearing this I would definitely put some tape or something on it. I'm pretty sure these wouldn't stick for the whole day, and it'd be a bit embarrassing for a pad-shaped thing to fall out of your top!

I used these at night time, instead of using a hot water bottle. I liked them because I could sleep on my side, my front, my back and it stuck to me. I probably wouldn't spend money on them, as, for me, a hot water works better for helping cramps. It could get quite expensive for everyday wear but I'd definitely recommend them for bad cramp days when you're out-and-about!

Cool concept

I received one of these free a year or so ago, I used it at school and i liked that it was so small and unnoticeable, but it wasn't 'life changing' for me as i've never gone out and purchased them. I think the idea is super neat! just not worth it for me.

Aww it is a great idea. I've never heard of them but I'd love something like this just for general muscle pain. As long as it worked that is!

Libra hotties

I get bed cramps leading up to my period and I normaly just use pain killers to take care of pain , I found that the hotties worked a little bit but not a lot for me .

Tips: If you get mild cramps then they would probly work a lot better for you than me . :)

Libra Hotties.... Warmies???

At first I thought these were a fantastic idea, portable heat so I do not need to carry a hot water bottle or wheat bag around without letting the whole world it was "that time of the month"... The idea was great but the heat does not last therefore does not give relief for a long period of time. Another down side is that they do not stick very well, I resorted to taping it with medical tape. They are good if you are desperate for some portable heat relief like I am as I suffer from very painful cramps but if a better heat patch was released, I would try that

Pretty Good price - works fairly well

I dont think this product is all that bad... its definitely a solution to an age old problem... it does heat up a bit more than your body temp and i do believe it provides enough to get your period pains to soothe abit...I would recommend it to anyone who suffers from terrible cramps and i do believe if given a chance it can really help.. It may not be the best product in the world but for $4.99 ... shouldnt be expecting more than what it gives..

was good.

They were ok. I initially used them taped below my stomach but it's not quite the deep heat I needed as my cramps are pretty bad. They take a long time to heat up, but they do stay in place pretty well. I actually use them more on my back during the first 2 days. Even my partner (male) asked me to put one on his back for him. He thinks it was just ok too.
