Linden Leaves Eye Rescue Serum is paraben and sls free, is not tested on animals and is a soothing, cooling, nourishing and hydrating eye serum with a wonderful rose scent that evokes memories of walking through a rose garden after a rain shower. The liquid lotion is packaged in a simple, white 15ml plastic tube with a roller ball applicator and screw on lid.
Containing the antioxidant properties of organic white tea, the toning and nourishing properties of rose and the balancing and hydrating properties of grapeseed oil, this eye serum is suitable for all skin types (including sensitive skin) and promises to help minimise visible signs of ageing and refresh stressed or tired eyes.
The simple packaging makes the eye serum really easy to apply. I simply roll the roller ball applicator lightly under my eyes (avoiding direct contact with my eyes) and then gently pat the product into my skin using my ring fingers.
The serum does feel soothing and refreshing but, to be honest, I haven't really noticed a reduction in fine lines (or visible signs of ageing) around my eyes, so I can't really comment on whether this product lives up to all its promises.
Linden Leaves products are expensive and compared to other eye creams and eye serums that I've used in the past, I really can't see much difference between an expensive product like this and a cheaper, more affordable alternative (other than the organic ingredients that this one claims it contains).
Would I purchase this product again or recommend it to a friend? Probably not.
I received this product in a goodie box last year. I'd never heard of this brand before but this seemed to be quite hyped up and I remember seeing shannxo rave about how amazing this is. The price tag of $50 is way more then I've ever paid for an eye cream before so I was both excited and expecting great things from it.
The packaging is nice and simple. It is a white tube with a screw on lid and it has a metal rollerball to apply the product. The actual serum is clear and quite thin in texture. It has a very light floral scent.
The first couple of times I used this, I really liked it. Applying it with the roller feels so soothing and cooling on the undereye area. Unfortunately my ball got stuck and I couldn't unstuck it. In fact I managed to squeeze it so hard that I popped the seam in a corner at the top of the tube. Currently this is how I'm getting the product out. Without the roller, it doesn't feel like anything special and despite almost using the whole tube, I haven't noticed anything different. Granted, I don't have fine lines or bags but I still have some darkness under my eyes.
Overall, I wouldn't use this product again, to me it's not worth the price at all. Even if it was only $5 I still wouldn't buy it.
