I don't enjoy this product at all

I received this product in a goodie box last year. I'd never heard of this brand before but this seemed to be quite hyped up and I remember seeing shannxo rave about how amazing this is. The price tag of $50 is way more then I've ever paid for an eye cream before so I was both excited and expecting great things from it.

The packaging is nice and simple. It is a white tube with a screw on lid and it has a metal rollerball to apply the product. The actual serum is clear and quite thin in texture. It has a very light floral scent.

The first couple of times I used this, I really liked it. Applying it with the roller feels so soothing and cooling on the undereye area. Unfortunately my ball got stuck and I couldn't unstuck it. In fact I managed to squeeze it so hard that I popped the seam in a corner at the top of the tube. Currently this is how I'm getting the product out. Without the roller, it doesn't feel like anything special and despite almost using the whole tube, I haven't noticed anything different. Granted, I don't have fine lines or bags but I still have some darkness under my eyes.

Overall, I wouldn't use this product again, to me it's not worth the price at all. Even if it was only $5 I still wouldn't buy it.

Smells like roses

Linden Leaves Eye Rescue Serum is paraben and sls free, is not tested on animals and is a soothing, cooling, nourishing and hydrating eye serum with a wonderful rose scent that evokes memories of walking through a rose garden after a rain shower. The liquid lotion is packaged in a simple, white 15ml plastic tube with a roller ball applicator and screw on lid.

Containing the antioxidant properties of organic white tea, the toning and nourishing properties of rose and the balancing and hydrating properties of grapeseed oil, this eye serum is suitable for all skin types (including sensitive skin) and promises to help minimise visible signs of ageing and refresh stressed or tired eyes.

The simple packaging makes the eye serum really easy to apply. I simply roll the roller ball applicator lightly under my eyes (avoiding direct contact with my eyes) and then gently pat the product into my skin using my ring fingers.

The serum does feel soothing and refreshing but, to be honest, I haven't really noticed a reduction in fine lines (or visible signs of ageing) around my eyes, so I can't really comment on whether this product lives up to all its promises.

Linden Leaves products are expensive and compared to other eye creams and eye serums that I've used in the past, I really can't see much difference between an expensive product like this and a cheaper, more affordable alternative (other than the organic ingredients that this one claims it contains).

Would I purchase this product again or recommend it to a friend? Probably not.

Tips: Try storing it in the fridge for an extra refreshing boost.

Cool And Refreshing, That's About It

I got this in a BBBE box earlier this year and have been using recently. I think this is only the second Linden Leaves product I have used so I was excited to see how this would work for me.

The box packaging has a lot of writing on it but points out all the good stuff. NZ made, cruelty free, environmentally friendly packaging, supporting sustainable and ethical business practices. The things I like to see on a product I use. The product packaging is a quite plain toothpaste style tube with a roller ball for product distribution.

I like how the rollerball is cool on the skin, it feels refreshing. The rollerball makes for super easy application. Barely has a scent. Except for my eye area looking a bit more hydrated I have not noticed anything else while using this product.

I don't see any improvement from when I started using it till now which is disappointing. It doesn't work for me at all and is not something I consider purchasing in future.

Eye Rescue Serem

I got this in a best beauty box ever kiwi brands cruelty free box. I like the applicator and I like how cooling and refreshing it feels when you first put it on under the eyes. But I find that this product ends up making my under eyes feel quite sticky and tight. It feels like it sits on the top of my skin instead of soaking in. So it's not my favourite under eye cream.

Linden Leaves eye serum rollerball

I received this with a goodie box quite a while ago. I wasn't a regular user of eye cream prior to receiving this so I thought this, with its rollerball applicator would be a quick and easy way to make applying eye cream a habit. The serum is quite refreshing, particularly in summer with its rollerball applicator. It is lightly scented but the scent is only very subtle so wouldn't be offputting for people who are wary of fragranced products.

This is beautiful to use if you have been crying or if your eyes are puffy after a late night out. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who needs a lot of hydration around the eyes, or anyone with mature skin as I see this more as a soothing and cooling serum rather than it offering any anti-ageing benefits.

As a way of introducing me to eye creams this was great, I have built this into my day to day beauty regime now. Because however I am looking towards more anti ageing products now I would not repurchase, and instead look for a richer cream for more hydration

Tips: I like to roll the rollerball applicator around on my hand a couple of times before use to free-up the rollerball. I do this until it is rolling smoothly before I apply to my under eye area (as otherwise this would tug the delicate skin here).

Linden Leaves Cooling, Soothing Eye Serum Roller

I needed a new eye serum so I bought this off a friend who had a backup. This comes as a plain white tube with a clear cap and a roller ball to apply the serum to the contours of your eye. This eye serum features glycerin, white tea leaf extract, rose oil and grape seed oil. The ingredients are fairly natural so that's what attracted me to this. I like the roller as that makes application easy and the roller ball has a soothing cooling effect plus with the roller ball for application this serum will last me for a long time. I do enjoy using this in my morning skincare routine. The serum absorbs into my eye are really quickly so it's great if plan to wear makeup that day. However, I don't think I would repurchase because I have used another eye serum that brightened my under eye area and while the other eye serum is more expensive for the amount I get for the price, don't mind paying more because of the results. Actually this is rather pricey considering I haven't seen any results. That being said it does do what it says as far as soothing my under eye area.

Tips: Best used in the morning as it absorbs really quickly and the roller ball is really soothing. This didn't reduce dark circles or under eye puffiness for me so if you want to target that I do recommend getting an under eye product for that as this is just designed mainly sooth and cool the under eye area.

So so

I got this eye rescue serum in a BBBE. I like Linden leaves products and I like eye serums so this looked like a product I'd like.

It comes in the lovely classy Linden leaves packaging, but is in a small tube in a big box. So there's less than what I expected. The applicator is a roller ball which is quite good for an eye serum and long as you go slowly and don't pull the skin around the eye area.

I love that it has white tea, rose and grapeseed. Nice ingredients for an eye product.

I find it applies well and absorbs well and does leave any residue on my skin. It certainly feels cooling and soothing on my eyes. I didn't notice any long terms benefits though.

I think it's quite expensive but it is quite nice so that's probably ok. I don't know if I would buy it though as I think there are other better ones once you get to that price range.

Leaves more to be desired

I do like trying to use more natural products especially when they are made in NZ and from a business that originated in my home town.

I purchased this because of the ingredients listed. It sounded great on paper, but to use it leaves more to be desired to be honest.

In the box is a tube with steel roller ball. Nice and cooling to use on the eye area.. even better when kept in the fridge. It’s a small amount for the price paid so I would only ever purchase on sale.

The box and packaging is ok appearance wise. I feel like the linden leaves packaging in general isn’t really for me.. it’s a bit dated some of it. The eye serum packaging isn’t the worst as it’s one of their more simple style packaging designs.

The serum solution itself is nice. It’s a clear gel with a decent viscosity so it doesn’t really get wasted as it can be hard to see how much your using with the rollerball in the way.

The gel I noticed sort of sits on the skin, dries and sometimes rubs off. The morning after I would recommend washing your face prior to makeup application etc as I would sometimes rub my eyes and rub away left over product.

Effective wise it was soothing and cooling. I feel like it did slightly hydrate, but I don’t think it did anything to minimise signs of aging. It didn’t really smooth skin. For the price I paid I think it should have been more effective.

The ingredients are great I love it has naturally derived ingredients and antioxidants. I only wish it was a bit more effective as a solution.

Tips: Keep in the fridge for a super soothing serum

I can take it, or leave it.

I received this in a beauty box subscription and was initially really excited as I can't stand the gritty heavy feeling of tired eyes, something I've become uncomfortably accustomed to since joining the cult of motherhood. I've used one Linden Leaves product in the past (a facial mist) and loved it, so was keen to see if this would live up to my elevated expectations.

The packaging is lovely - clean, chic and the roller ball makes for a really nice method of application. The scent of the serum is to die for - like sniffing a rose during a twilight walk. Yum. As for the product itself, I'm very much on the fence. Yes, it gives my peepers a boost, in that they feel refreshed after the cool ball rolls over them coating them in the serum, but I don't feel like there's a visual benefit, in that I haven't noticed any minimising of the signs of ageing.

And it's the lack of visual benefit that stops me from recommending this product, because 50 pingers is a lot of money to spend on a product when an ice cube rolled around or a slice of cucumber placed over your eyes does a similar job.

Refreshing

I love the packaging for this product! It comes in a simple squeezable tube with a rollerball applicator which feels massaging and soothing on the eyes. It's super easy to transport as it has a screw on lid which keeps it hygienic and the applicator makes it hassle free to apply on the go without needing to put dirty fingers near the eyes. The serum itself is clear and leaves my eyes feeling refreshed so I love using it on my makeup free days whenever my eyes need a pick-me-up. I probably wouldn't repurchase it again for the full price as I still prefer to use rosehip oil at night and mostly only use the Linden Leaves Eye Rescue Serum as my sole eye cream if I'm traveling.
