I bought Carmex recently after hearing that it can help with coldsore prevention (strangely!) It does seem to be working so far. I get mild coldsores very frequently, but haven't had any since using Carmex. The only thing I really don't like is all the vaseline!! Not great for your skin, but I switch it up with my EOS balms so I should be ok.

Carmex Lip Balm
Carmex lip balm contains a unique blend of ingredients, including natural moisturisers such as cocoa butter and lanolin. These and other emollients give you healthy-looking lips by moistening and preventing dryness and chapping associated with the effects of the environment.
Carmex helps to soothe, moisturise and relieve dry, chapped lips caused by the elements. Apply Carmex liberally and evenly as often as necessary throughout the day.
Carmex contains camphor and menthol. These ingredients give Carmex a cooling effect and soothe rough, chapped lips caused by environmental factors – encouraging a healthy appearance that feels as good as it looks.
Available in a jar, tube or stick.

I got this free from the website and am going to give it an honest review. I hated it! I put a little bit on my lips and they stung for ages, even got my eyes watering! Way too strong for me and not at all what I am looking for in a lip balm!
Yes well I used it a couple times when it arrived my partner saw me and asked to use it, I've not seen it since lol. I just told him he had to help write the review as he stole it so I asked him the important questions. Smells nice, lasts couple hours, good stuff, so there you go his review. I did like the consistency when applying and the smell not too strong and felt it really hydrated my lips when I got to use it lol
Tips: Don't leave it lying around, it will be stolen
This product is a miracle in a tube I swear. I love the original and the cherry scents, I exfoliate my lips and then apply a generous amount of this all over and within seconds my lips are feeling refreshed and slightly tingly. This acts as a perfect base before applying lipstick as it's slightly tacky and has fully moisturised my lips which is great for a matte lippy over top! Definitely recommend to anyone who has severely dry or chapped lips, it's a miracle worker and I am yet to find anything else as fantastic.
I was actually pleasantly surprised by this lip balm. Like many of the other reviewers, I got this for free and at the price of $5.99 it sells for I'd buy it to use again. It's really nice and smooth and lasts a long time. I like the tingly feeling that you get when you put it on. Doesn't smell great but it's nothing to put me off. I like it.
I love the taste/smell of this lip balm and feels very nice and tingly on my lips. The size of the tube is very good and enables me to have it available wherever I am and is very portable. Just be careful not to store it in the heat as it becomes very watery and just slips out of tube.
This stuff is amazing!! Ive used it 4 times and it moisturises my lips, has a nice smell, leaves your lips feeling more repaired, healthy looking with a little bit of shine.
Tips: Great for those hot days, or windy days where you need a little moisture on the lips
Carmex has been my absolute lifeline since discovering it in the states. I was one of those $2 shop lip gloss kids at intermediate, so my lips are pretty ruined from that even after all these years - constant chapping (amplified by inability to breathe through my nose). Carmex relieves this quickly, smells great, and makes my lips look plump and supple. Its great value as well and easy to find at chemists - though I stocked up in the States recently, hope my local gets the 3 packs in soon! I have one in my bag, one next to my bed and one next to the couch.... my Carmex is never far away!!
Tips: Don't squeeze hard, you don't need a lot! And don't leave in hot places as it will melt. It does re-form once cool, but will be extra runny if you use it while warm!
I only recently discovered this on a friend's recommendation and I absolutely love it. It is the only lip balm which actually stays on my lips and absorbs itself rather than just sitting on top of my lips ( i have this problem with nivea, blistex, chapstick). The feeling of it is great, not sticky but still quite thick and nourishing. It also creates a tingly sensation when you first put it on which is lovely. When I have extremely dry lips, using this a few times during the day for a couple of days heals them perfectly :)
I prefer the tube version, its so easy to apply and no mess on the fingers like from the jar version but both are good. I find the stick one isn't the same consistency and doesn't work as well.
Awful. This was just like blistex (same thing, different name? ) which I reacted to. It stung and burnt my lips, and it didn't moisturise them at all. I also really dislike products which contain lanolin as it's extremely comedogenic due to it being such a rich lipid. Lanolin is derived from sheep's wool, and as a general rule for skin care, I recommend avoiding any lipids derived from animals or minerals. These kinds of oils aren't readily absorbed by your skin, so they just sit on the surface, not hydrating your skin, and block the pores. These sort of products are what give you blackheads around your lips.
Tips: Always read labels when purchasing. I got this as a freebie, but if I had known I'd not have bothered. If your lips are dry, get something that can actually hydrate.
