Like the reviewer below me, I too started using the Strawberry Nivea Lip Balm as a pre-teen and loved it, but the formula has drastically changed since then, and I no longer love it like I used too. The packaging is very basic and simplistic, and looks quite cheap; it reminds me of a store brand lip balm. The lip balm had a sweet strawberry scent when I purchased it but now that it is a few months old the smell has deteriorated and it smells more like Playdough. The lip balm moisturizes and hydrates my lips well. It leaves a subtle hint of colour on my lips with a gold shimmer which looks nice. The lip balm has no taste to it. The lip balm is quite affordable, and I would purchase it again, if I was running low on cash. However, this isn't amazing, and I'd rather purchase a nicer lip balm with my money.

Reviews
This is a lovely lip balm for no makeup days, or no lipstick days. It gives a subtle red tint to the lips, making them look healthier and more vibrant, but still 100% fresh and natural. This is perfect for when I don't have lipstick on, but still want a little something. After an hour, it simply fades away, it doesn't go patchy or leave a line of residue.
I do not reach for this product when I want hydration. No, it doesn't dry out the lips, but it doesn't really hydrate them either. It is certainly not a treatment, or for those needing a boost of moisture. Therefore, I purely use it when I am wanting a tint, or hint, of colour.
The packaging is standard $5.99 Nivea. Nothing special, nothing fancy, and the lid will probably fall of in your handbag. But what more can be expected for the price? If you are wanting something incredibly subtle for a no makeup or no lipstick day, this is perfect. It would also be great for a teen or pre-teen who is wanting to wear lipstick, as it does give a tiny tint without actually being makeup.
Tips: Great for a teen or pre-teen who is begging for a lipstick, or no makeup/no lipstick days for yourself.
I wouldn't say that this lip balm provides your lips with the best hydration, but what I do love about this product is the cherry tint it gives your lips. The colour it gave my lips is a light red tint. This product has a dual purpose as a lip tint as well. This lip balm does make your lips nice and smooth, but I find my lips are still "thirsty" afterwards and I have to keep applying more an hour later.
The texture of the lip balm is very soft and creamy. This makes it very easy to apply to your lips and allows you to apply it smoothly. Because of the soft texture, this lip balm can easily melt if left in your pocket. So I would recommend to keep it in your bag out if direct sunlight. This happened to me once and my lip balm melted, so I had to put it in the fridge to set again.
This lip balm has a strong fruity scent that is very sweet smelling. I love fruity smelling products so this doesn't bother me, but this might not be the product for you if you don't like strong scents. This lip balm has a satiny type finish and gives your lips a bit of shine.
Overall, I wouldn't purchase this product again as a lip balm simply because it didn't give my lips enough hydration. However, I would purchase this as a lip tint as I did like the colour it gave my lips.
I've been putting off this review for a while trying to change my opinion on this lip balm. But alas, the truth cannot be changed. This felt weird and not balmy enough on my lips. It was moire oil than wax, leaving a shiny layer on my lips. This is like the polar opposite to how EOS lip balms feel in terms of texture. It rubbed off too easily and I had to reapply really often. The color of the balm is actually alright, a sheer red that looks very cute and natural. The smell is the kind of fake paracetamol strawberry that I just didn't like. Would not buy again sadly. This is the only nivea lipbalm that's turned out so useless which is somewhat disappointing.
It's what it is.
This product comes in a 4.8g white tube with a red lid. Pop the top lid off and twist the white bottom and up pops the product :)
Upon application I expected it to absorb into my lips as most hydrating, moistursing lip balms do. This didn't deliver :( it glided on and basically sat on top of the lip giving a nice glossy shine. Wipes off really easily and needed to be applied several times throughout the day.
Benefits of this product?! The scent! Omg yummy. Almost like you could just eat it! A sweet strawberry smell lingers while on your lips. It also leaves your lips with a subtle red tinge that looks rather natural.
I won't be grabbing this product when my lips need the care of a moistursing balm. For a wee bit of gloss to my lips I will :)
Saw my sister using Nivea's Fruity Shine Pink Guava - it gave her lips a very nice shimmer and light pink tint. I liked how it look on her lips so I went out to get one myself but came back with this one instead.
I have not regretted my purchase, it smells very nice and gives a light pink tint to my lips - just perfect!
I use this every morning for my dry chapped lips. It's very use to apply, just take out the lid and give a little twist and there you have it, a big chunk of amazing lip moisturiser. It does not stay on the lip very long though, maybe 1 or 2 hours then you may need to re-apply. I usually only apply it once during the day as it is very moisturising therefore no need to re-apply.
I like that it doesn't have that sticky/gluey feel that other lip balms have and very good value for the price I pay. I had mine for over a year now, it's just so awesome.
Will definitely keep this on my repurchase list.
I bought this strawberry flavoured lip product from The Warehouse quite a while ago, and can't remember what it cost!
It comes in a bright red screw up container - just like a lipstick.
The product looks very red but is only a subtle red shine on my lips once I apply it. It has a subtle cherry smell which I can't taste once I've applied it.
The product claims " to make your lips delicious, kissing them with a fruity-fresh strawberry taste. This lip balm covers your lips with glossy shine, over a subtle, red-toned glow". Well, it doesn't have any taste to match the smell, but as for the subtle red-toned glow, I'd say that's true enough. It says the rich Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter keep your lips smooth, soft and with a hint of colour. That's quite true, as long as you reapply regularly. The product is nice and smooth when applied, but the effect stops once it absorbs.
Overall this is a good product, but there are others of the same type and price that are better. I'm ambivalent really, I may buy it again, particularly if I saw it on special.
I am huge fan of Nivea moisturiser. I was really young since that time I am using it. Always keen to try something different in Nivea range. I used all Nivea lip balm and mostly I like no any complaints. I think this is great lip balm if you want to nice light red shimmering lips. Great for natural looking red lips. When I don't want to wearing makeup that time BB cream and thi lip balm give me nice natural look. Lip balm also provide long lasting moisturiser and colour too.
Niveas easily accessible in most new zealand stores. During the summer period I picked one of these up at Countdown. Sometimes they have lip products at check out. I popped one of these into my trolley. Needed a quick pick me up for my dry dehydrated lips.
This balm comes in a 4.8 gram bottle. Its sized perfectly to fit into your pocket or handbag. This casing is a bright red with the nivea labelling on it. Its easy to wind up and wind down. Its texture is like a balm. Perfectly scented with Strawberry flavour. Has a slight redish pink tint colouring to this balm. It does have a slight shimer shine in this.
I find this balm simple to apply to my lips. I find it did temporarily hydrate my lips. I did need to keep applying especially with eating and drinking. It does come off easily.
These lip balms are affordable to buy. I would like to see some spf added into these lip balms for added protection. Like most balms I expect to keep applying them. These would make great stocking fillers for young girls. I would definately purchase these again as a gift.
The NIVEA Strawberry Lip Care and I have a long and complex history together! I initially started using this product during high school, and I loved the shimmery red tones which it would subtly add to your lips. It was super moisturising and generally amazing. However, I suspect that sometime between then and now the formula has been changed, and I definitely don't like this product as much as I used to.
It comes in a cute wee tube, which I definitely prefer over pots because they feel more hygienic somehow and are less messy to apply. The lip product applies smoothly and easily, with a lovely strawberry scent and a subtle gloss. The ingredients are awesome, and I love knowing I'm protecting my lips from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
However, while this product used to make your lips significantly redder, it now only gives them a gloss with very little colour. Although it feels moisturising upon application, I found this doesn't really last long and has me reaching for it again not too long afterwards. Not a huge fan, and probably won't go out of my way to repurchase.
