e.l.f Studio Lip Exfoliator Review

Oh. My. Gosh.

I have been waiting for what seems like FOREVER!! for this to be in stock at iHerb. After months of waiting (perhaps I didn't check back fast enough) I finally trawled through their website and threw this in my cart. I had heard many wonderful things about it through BR darlings and I knew it would be perfect for me, as I get very dry lips and I can't help but bite the skin! (I'm so bad, I know)

It had fallen out of it's box partially, which is fine, because it was the first thing I grabbed out of the iHerb package as I was most excited for it. I love the tube. It's matte black, with a glossy black belt, and the name and product written on the side in white. Very sleek, and it blends in well with my collection of makeup.

When I first saw the product, I was disappointed as it was smooth, as I thought it would be grainy from the get go. I applied it onto my lips straight away, and after the first few swipes the sugar grains appeared and started doing their job on my lips. I was in heaven!! Not to mention the taste it leaves on your lips, it's like... Brown sugar? Its divine.

Application is a lot like a lipstick, without the product feathering out or going on your teeth. Just a few swipes on your lips leaves some granules behind, and you can rub your lips together to keep exfoliating. The granules do disappear - mostly into your mouth - but I'm sure it's not poisonous.

This product is amazing, and I'm so glad I bought it. I'll definitely be repurchasing this bad boy.

I LOVE this product! Before trying this I used to use the Lush lip scrub which is great, but super messy and I would end up with sugar all over my face. This exfoliator removes all the dry skin, and your lips feel so soft and moisturised. It tastes and smells great - like sugar and the lipstick bullet makes application really easy too! My lipstick glides on perfectly after using this exfoliator!

I actually purchased this product after reading the great reviews on here. My lips get dry especially in winter, and when it is a windy day, and we all know how unappealing it is to use lip balm, gloss or stick on top of dry lips, as well as how it doesn’t look quite as good as we hoped! I had never used a lip exfoliator, and honestly did not think I needed one. Wow, was I wrong.

The E.L.F lip exfoliator comes in a container similar to regular lipstick, simply take off the lip, and twist the bottom for the exfoliator to be applied, which is done exactly the same way as you would apply lipstick. The product is a caramel colour, and has brown specks in it. A texture and taste that I would compare to brown sugar! Additionally, it actually smells sweet like sugar and I quite liked this aspect.

I softly applied this to my lips, and I found it to be really gentle, and effective at removing the dry skin, and it honestly made my lips so soft, and perfect for applying a lip product onto afterwards! I tend to use this twice a week, or more depending on the weather conditions! Definitely worth a try!

I expected alot from this product hearing all the rave about it and it didnt dissapoint! I use it almost twice a week depending on the mood of my lips and it leaves a tingling and refreshing sensation. It does exactly what its supposed to do! It also leaves your skin moisturised and so soft. You can use it in the shower, with water, without either way it gives the best results everytime!

I usually use the Lush Lip Scrubs before applying lipstick but ran out so decided to try this and found this really great especially for the price.

It was a lot easier to use than a scrub because it is in lipstick form and not messy. It did the job well.

The only other comments I can make is that it didn't have a great smell and after a few weeks it dried out and was quite hard to use but then for only paying $5 I wasn't too disappointed.

I bought this product after hearing a wee bit about it and experiencing some trouble applying my beloved liquid matte lippies. i chuch this on when i start my makeup and leave it until its time to do my lippie, and it works a treat. Gently exfoliates and removes all flaking, but doesnt dry your lips out. It makes the application of lippie so much better!

This beauty is something that I couldn't live without especially going thru this winter, my lips are left dry and chapped and there's nothing worse than putting on a dark lipstick and seeing dry flaky lips! I found that using a face scrub was too gentle and using an exfoliating glove was too harsh and when I saw this I had to try it. It's the same size as a normal lipstick which is perfect for travelling with, rubbing this over your lips leaves a grainy sweet substance that is quite soothing and smells really good! My problem areas are in the corners of my lips, it gently removes all the dry skin and makes them feel so smooth and soft.

For the price , the quality is outstanding, if your a lipstick girl this is a must have! Or for girls in general, you won't be disappointed.

Who knew a product like this even existed? I sure didn't up until 2 months ago. I have to say ever since using this bad boy I have had soft lips! Who knew your lips could be so soft?! I am in absolute awe of this product (hence the 5/5 lips). I used to suffer a lot from dry and cracked lips and could barely wear lippys but ever since my friend pushed this product onto me I have been able to use many lip products. This E.L.F product I found on iherb, I don't remember the price, however the sweet scent is fantastic and on those 'at home spa days' this is the only product to touch my lips that day. It smells so good!

The packaging is fantastic, it's the same size as your average lipsticks so it's easy to travel with.

It's easy to use.

My first use of this product wasn't a fantastic success the texture was grainy, as there are sugar crystals on the product. However once you get used to the product is doesn't hurt one bit. (Or at least it doesn't in my case).

I brought this online cheap as chips (iherp) coz I realy wanted to try it after the reviews, and for $3 I thort why not! And it's great, I needed one so bad and its hard to know what is in them but you can tell this is a simple ingredient, it has a sugary after taste, simple compact like a lipstick but I think it would be better in a pottel and use your finger because I tend to use my finger after anyway! It realy takes away my dry skin and makes my lips smooth, realy starting to trust this brand it's doing all the jobs I need :)

Loved this product, great price (definitely worth it) and was surprised at how lush my lips felt after use. I'm a huge fan of Elf products and this is in my top 5!!
