Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick Review

I received this lipstick in the shade ‘Coffee Craze’ in the September Beauty Box. The shade is medium brown and gorgeous!

It comes in a silver holder with a salmon coloured plastic cover, and is an easy twist-up style. It has a very delicious caramel scent – it altogether reminds me of caramel latte!!.

The formula is nice and creamy and glides smoothly across the lips. It is quite hydrating and lasts very well. It doesn’t smudge or stick to my teeth. It goes nicely with the lovely foundation that also came in the BRBB!

I usually don’t wear a lot of lipstick, preferring lip pencil as it has less smudge, and is easier and cleaner to apply, but I really do like this lipstick, and love the colour match to my skin.

At $20 you can’t go wrong with this lipstick.

These lipsticks are great because they don't dry out my lips, they are very smooth and creamy to apply, and don't appear to be just sitting on top of your skin it blends in and gives a nice mix with your skin all over the lip. I love all the pink colours!

I was very lucky to receive a lipstick in my September beauty box. I received a bright orange colour which I think is super gorgeous. The lipstick itself is very creamy and mosturizing. It doesn't dry up my lips.

I love lipsticks and have a large collection but I don't have any colour of lipstick in this particular shade. I brought the most recent beauty box and received the Vivid Rose shade. It was incredible how rich this shade was which made it automatically stand out from any other shade. Most pink lipsticks promise you this rich, lively colour but once its applied dulls down the shade a fair bit whereas the Vivid Rose was exactly what was promised, if not even more. It also applied nicely and felt nourishing, 5/5 would recommend, was stoked with this purchase!

I already owned one of these lippies (in Pink Me Up) and was stoked to receive Honey Beige in my BRBB. Id been wanting to try a beige toned nude for a while now but didnt want to fork out the money only to look like I had smeared foundation on my lips. I find the formula non-drying and doesnt crack on my lips, I usually do a couple of touch ups during the night as it transfers a little but for the price its well worth it! Ill definitely be open to trying more nudes from now on too :P

I love how this lipstick feels incredibly moisturising but it colour slides right off my lips. I have three shades: Are you Red-dy, Vivid Rose and Twinkle, and all three feel like a tinted lip balm than a lipstick. After a meal, it looks like I have not applied lipstick at all.

I guess this lipstick is ideal for you if you want to try a bold colour but have been hesitant up until now.

The BR person that has packed my BRBB has given me jackpot lipstick colours each time. This is a bright pink, so bright when I opened it to show to a male coworker, we were both like wow that is bright. It may be bright but I have been wearing it at least twice a week.

The colour does transfer to food, coffee cups but it still sticks around. When I have worn and not reapplied, it seems to be a paler version of itself. The lips are still coloured pink but it has faded from the bold pink shine to a less bold pink matte that is dry on my lips, we are looking at about 6 hours to happen. Obvious reason as to topping it up at points during the day as I like it bold. It is a creamy formula that seems to moisturise my lips well. The lipstick is well pigmented. It is easy to apply anywhere as there is a mirror on the top of the lid.

For the price I would definitely rebuy this and I have been looking at the rebel pink versions of this. However BR has made awesome choices for me in all my BRBB's and given me really wearable lipstick colours that I do like, so now I have to choose my own colour and I have not idea of the shade I'm wanting.

This BRBB gem surprised me. I received the color 904 Vivid Rose. I would never in a million years choose this colour but I am so grateful that I received this one! I haven't really worn pink in a long, long time and last night I wore a pink dress and thought I'll give this lippy a run. WOW, this pretty glides on so smoothly. I hate wearing bright colors as my lipstick usually goes all wonky around the edges, bleeding etc but not this time. I didn't use a Iip liner because I didn't have a matching one but it wasn't needed, I just popped this one on straight from the tube for a great finish. A highly pigmented, creamy, bright fuschia pink lipstick that lasted through the pre dinner drinks and the entree but needed refreshing after the main meal, only just a little bit. I could always tell which was my glass, spoon and fork due to the transfer of lipstick to everything- not sure if that's a good or bad thing! it didn't smudge on my face at all. It smells really nice. I just used my regular cleanser to take my makeup off and I still needed to do a wipe over with eye and lip make up remover as it has quite some staying power. The next day my lips felt really soft so I'd say that the honey nector is doing its job well. I can't wait to get a few more colours of this range, perhaps a nice red? This lipstick is sensational.

These are super creamy and comfortable lipsticks and at a really affordable price.

I have the shades 'are you red-dy' (blue based red), make me pink (mauve pink) and vivid rose (bright Barbie pink). The red is my favourite red lipstick that I own, as it seem to compliment my skintone and make my teeth look a little whiter (bonus!). Vivid rose was the shade I received from the BRBB and was a little scary to wear at first! I found that I stated off applying this lightly to build my confidence, and each time I wore this I applied this a little thicker so eventually I had a super bold pink lip. This really brightened my face and suits my pale skin. Make me pink is the shade I wear the least despite being the most 'natural' shade; it simply looks a little ageing on me. I quite like the vanilla scent of these, although if you get a little on your food it doesn't taste as good as it smells!

These feel very comfortable on the lips and last a couple hours on me before losing intensity. I didn't find that these lasted on me when I ate or drank unfortunately, and left me with a bit of a ring of colour (which was surprisingly hard to remove!). I do think though that these are a great budget lipstick choice, and the shade range means there is something available for everyone. Will be on the hunt for a pink-nude in this range.

I have NEVER bought bright lipstick. I can be a super chicken when it comes to bold make up, and I've just never had the guts.

That changed with the BRBB. I received the Maybelline Colour Sensational lipstick in Fifth Ave Fuchsia, and I may just be a convert. It adds a delicious pop of colour, looking out of place.

The lipstick goes on beautifully, and has great staying power. I wore it to a glitzy awards night last week and only had to reapply once in 4 hours of eating & drinking!

It leaves your lips soft afterwards, and doesn't seem to leave it's mark on hubby too easily.
