I have heard and seen lots of reviews online. I honestly accepted that the reviews really pushed me to get some. The pigmentation is good and the price is even better but it is not what I expected. First warning... who ever uses this lip cream must have good moisturized lips... applying on dry lips will give a fully trashy look. Start moisturising your lips now girls loll!!!

Reviews
Tips: I often use this lip cream with other products I have such as Melted coral with NYX Antwerp or LA girl Gleam lip paint with NYX London...
I love matte lipsticks so i was automatically drawn to this product. The lighter shades are so delicate/pastel like and the darker shades are very vampire like. Similar to the wet n wild mega last lipsticks, this product is great for the price. Some matte lip creams are on the expensive side but these ones are not. The formula goes on comfortably, they are not drying and feel velvety on the lips. The colours go on very pigmented aswell. Being a person with small lips, applying lipstick can be difficult for me but the applicator of these allows me to carve the desired shape I want without a big smudgy mess. However I still like to use a lip liner just to ensure my application is nice. These lipsticks are so affordable and I wish they sold them in store in New Zealand! I have four of them and want to order more already!
Tips: My only recommendation would be to watch some lip swatch videos of these before purchasing as some of the colors are quite similar (eg stockholm and london).
I bought the colours Stockholm and Sydney whilst in Malaysia because they were dirt and couldnt resist them because of the hype around them. Stockholm is a nude with a peachy tone and Sydney is a baby pink colour. Yes I love my neutral colour.
This review is centered around my lips and if you dont have the same dry and crack lips as me then you wont be happy because this products has been so hyped and it seems like everybody loves it. Not me.
The formulation is a liquid that turns into a matte but its not a solid matte. Its a velvet matte consistency that could feel quite fury at times when it dries on my lips.
My lips are naturally dried and cracked and I do use tonnes of products to combat the dryness but these lipstick is like a crack seeker! You could have tiniest amount of imperfection in your lips and this lipstick will find it and expose it. Believe people will think you dont care for your lips. Your lips have to be absolutely perfect and well moisturised for the lipstick to look amazing on you. I have friends who dont suffer from dry lips and this lipstick looks amazing on them.
I dont find these to long wearing either and if your lips are like mine these turn into a sticky consistency right at the end of lips in the middle. Thats gross. I didnt want to give these away because I can see potential in them so instead of wearing them alone I will swipe some over another matte lipstick. This is only combination that works for me and makes these lipsticks shine.
Unfortunately I wont be purchasing anymore of these as they dont work for me and are not right right for my dry lips.
Tips: Dont invest in these if your lips are not naturally beautiful
I recently went on a NYX haul when I was in the States and bought the Matte Lip Cream in Copenhagen which is a dark, berry red.
The consistency is a little on the thick side but not too thick. It's pigmented but I did need to add a couple of coats to really get a good payoff.
The lasting power of this product is awesome, I'll give it that. I only needed to reapply twice throughout the entire day - and that was with client visits and drinking a lot of coffee, so that's a bonus.
However for me - it went patchy around the inside of my lips and got a bit cloggy.
Tips: It shows up any imperfections you've got on your lips so you would need to exfoliate before applying.
It also doesn't apply well over a lip balm. So you need to apply this to a dry, bare lip.
So many companies are coming out with liquid lipsticks but these will always be my favourites. They have so many amazing colours, ranging from nudes, to dark purples, to bright pinks. They are a light mousse formula and they smell so so good. They are super long wearing and comfortable to wear. They're light and soft but still matte. I don't find them drying at all. They are also really affordable and they last all day so you don't need to reapply.
Okay so the swatch I saw online was obviously wrong, because it show Istanbul as being a nude. It is definitely not. It's a mid tone pink, not too bright, but not too deep either.
IT IS BEAUTIFUL. Totally wearable, completely matte, super pigmented and there is no way you can see your natural lip colour through the product. It goes on super easily and then dries completely matte while staying slightly sticky, just enough to keep the lips feeling comfortable without making it so that it goes all over your face. I love the doe foot applicator and I love the way it just glides onto the lips. It smells sweet and yummy. Best part is that you can LAYER it - my only complaint with the Collection Cosmetics lip creams was that you couldn't layer them.
SPEAKING of the Collection Cosmetics lip creams, Istanbul is almost an exact dupe for Cotton Candy from that line. I prefer these over the Collection ones because I feel like they're more comfortable on the lips.
The staying power is really good and it will hold up against most food and drinks. There are SO many shades for anyone and everyone. I adore this line and absolutely want MORE.
I have this in Addis Ababa which is a fuchsia pink. It is a gorgeous colour and no too "out there".
What I love: - the texture, when applying, it feels like a soft mousse, it goes on rather 'slippery' and then it dries to a complete matte - has reasonable lasting power, will last through a meal so long its not a greasy one! - cheap and affordable and comes in a variety of shades - awesome applicator, easy to use - doesn't run, lip liner not required (for me anyways!) - not drying on the lips, doesn't feel 'heavy' either - has a slight scent to it - kind of like vanilla
What I don't like: - not overly opaque on one application, but it does have good coverage/color payoff if you apply a "touch up" layer after it dries
I'd heard a lot about these, and so when I spotted a NYX stand during a last-minute dash through Target on holiday I knew I had to grab at least one. I wish I'd bought more!!
I have this in the shade Antwerp, a very pretty, wearable medium pink. The first thig I noticed when I unscrewed the cap was the smell - yummy vanilla, which doesn't last once the product dries but damn it smells good to start!
I'm not normally a fan of doe-foot applicators but it's the perfect choice for this lip cream, allowing for a quick and easy application, perfect for touch-ups!
The formula glides on wet like a cream to dry to a matte finish. The pigmentation is fantastic, you only need one coat of colour. It does take a while to dry so avoid eating, drinking or rubbing your lips together for a bit! Once it is dry, it's pretty long-lasting, a good few hours through light drinking and eating, but worth reapplying after lunch or hot drinks.
I found the formula is slightly drying but not to the extent other matte lippies I have tried. I normally apply a non-gooey lip balm a while before first like Nivea Lip Butter or Sierra Bees before applying it which helps. If dryness hits then I'll apply it over as well but it does unset the formula so it's more like a cream lippy.
I've been wearing this almost every day since I purchased it and will be keeping an eye out online for specials to pick up some more.
Tips: This picks up any imperfections so exfolliate well before application for a smooth surface.
I purchased few shades online include this Milan shade.
Firstly, this color is not for me, its slightly deeper than what it shows in the bottle that makes me look older, but other colors were fine. Maybe because i have dark lips with purple undertone, it still looks awesome on my friend's by the way.
Secondly, i have lot of fine lines on my lips. Its ok when its first appplied but it looks awful when it dries out.
Thirdly, the smell is quite strong, and u have to watch mirror to apply. The texture is smooth like mouse, and when u apply it covers everything like you do a painting.
Doesnt last long on me, have to re-apply after eating or drinking.
For those reasons i dont like it, but my friend who doesnt have problem like me she love it. Maybe it would depends on person.
I could rave about these all day. I have the colours Tokyo (cool toned baby pink) and Monte Carlo (a cool-toned red - DUPE FOR MAC'S RUBY WOO!).
The formula isn't drying AT ALL - I've had so many problems with other products that dry to a matte finish being so drying on the lips. These NYX ones are so moisturising, like you can still rub your lips together once the cream is on.
They are slightly sheer but the product is buildable so just slap on a layer, let it dry then put another one on. For the price of the product I can totally dismiss the fact it's a bit sheer.
These last like hours... as long as you aren't drinking or eating. As soon as you touch anything to your lips you are going to need to reapply.
The applicator actually makes it really easy to apply. I thought I would need a lip brush but as long as you have a lipliner on you're good to go. It's an angled sponge tip, the same one they use for the butter gloss.
Tips: Don't even try applying this on lips that are dry, cracked or not moisturised. Seriously this will sink into the lines of your lips and stay there.
