So easy to apply . . . . .

This is the fastest, most accurate liquid lip colour I have ever tried. L'Oreal has become very good at not only considering the high quality of the product but also the experience of applying it and making that easier. In this instance, the applicator is almost the shape of a tiny trowel, not a sexy description but perfect for lipstick application. Its makes the points of your lips very accurate and the consistency of the liquid made it very easy to apply - so fast. I had the Nude colour and it was darker when it was applied then seemed to lighten up which suited me perfectly as I like my nudes, very nude.

Paris Rouge Signature Ink 129 I Lead

I'm trialing this product in the shade 'I Lead' for Beauty Review. Based on the packaging, I was expecting this to be a maroon-ish shade, however once applied on the lips this became a muted red shade which was very wearable. The oil-in-water formula really feels different from other lipstains or lipglosses- this is very light and comfortable, like applying water on your lips. Once applied, the colour sets pretty fast into a soft matte finish. I barely felt like I had any product on my lips (which meant I forgot to check my lips and reapply...) After 2-3 hours of eating and drinking, the colour had worn off, leaving me with the dreaded ring of colour that I tend to get with bright lipsticks. However, because the product had left a stain of colour, it didn't look too bad. I'm very pleased with this product, this is a liquid soft-matte lipstick that feels uber-light and comfortable. I don't think it's long-wear but should get you through until lunch if you don't eat or drink.

Tips: Apply this product quickly to the lips, the colour sets pretty fast.

Stays put, until you 'want' to remove it.

The shade wasn't right for me but the staying power is amazing. The liquid is light weight and not like other 'Matt' lippys in that it doesn't dry so much it starts cracking and flaking after 10 mins.

The look when dry is very good. It gives great coverage and the colour pigment is well distributed so minimal product can be used with excellent results, unlike more watery versions where layering to get even tone is required.

I struggle to remove most Matt liquid lipsticks with out intense scrubbing. I was surprised how easily my normal face wash removed it.

Fab product I would definitely recommend it!

Lightweight and beautiful colour range

This was a surprise find for me, I loved how lightweight this felt on my lips. The colour range is really good too, I found some were a dupe for the Stila range. In terms of longevity, it won't last after a meal and I did find my lips were quite dry by the end of the day. However this isn't any different to other matte lip products. The tear drop shaped applicator is amazing, more products should have this because it made application a breeze!

Tips: Moisturise your lips before using any matte lip product - your lips will thank you for it.

Lightweight and less drying than liquid lipsticks

I love liquid lipsticks, but I hate how drying they are. To compare, this lip product is lightweight but doesn't have the same long-lasting wear.

I have the colour 116 I Explore. It's a lovely maroon, mauve colour and I got a few compliments while wearing it. I love that I can apply it without a lip liner and that I can eat with it on, but I definitely have to eat carefully.

Tips: It is still a liquid lipstick type of product, so it does still dry out my lips. I make sure to apply a balm before I put this product on.

Gorgeous Colours

I have "I Decide" "I Empower" "I Magnetize"

I Decide is a beautiful pinkish-red colour it's a really nice pigmented for a fitting outfit with the same colours it's beautiful.

I Empower is a light brown colour, I don't wear this too often, I don't feel like it suits me too much because I have olive skin colour so it's a bit weird on me, and I have natural pinkish coloured lips so nude brown doesn't suit me too much.

I magnetize is a lovely red coloured lipstick that is bold and stands out! I recommend these lipsticks they are really easy to apply, doesn't dry up your lips and most importantly it lasts long!

And finally, these lipsticks don't have an awful smell or taste in case it gets in your mouth and doesn't make your lips stink either! Bonus!

I Explore

L'Oreal Paris Rouge Signature Ink in 'I Explore' is a deep pinkish-brown nude colour.

I've never used an ink lipstick before, and I was really surprised by how lightweight, smooth and lovely this felt upon application.  I immediately thought to myself, "I want to replace all my lipsticks with these, in every single colour!" ... but that was until two hours later when I discovered that the colour had completely faded and worn off, without me having had anything to eat or drink in between then and the time I applied the lipstick.

L'Oreal promises "A collection of ultra-matte lip inks that combine unapologetically bold colour with a super-lightweight finish, for the ultimate bare-lip sensation. Say goodbye to compromise; long-lasting no longer means a thick, heavy and uncomfortable matte finish. The oil-in-water formula lets lips breathe, leaving a memorable mark but a forgettable feel for the ultimate all-day comfort. Every swipe will provide an instant pure colour statement that lasts with a soft-matte finish."

Yes, I loved the lightweight feel and the soft matte finish that didn't dry my lips out, and it has a nice smell too, but this product is not long-lasting.  It requires frequent touch ups (almost every 2 hours) even if you're not eating or drinking, it smudges and transfers onto mugs and glasses (if you are drinking), and it doesn't leave any colour on the lips.  This may be different with a brighter or darker colour, but this nude colour had absolutely no staying power.

I thought that maybe I had applied too much after the first attempt, so the next time I experimented with a single swipe.  Then with just a swipe on the bottom lip before rubbing my lips together.  No matter what I tried, I just couldn't get this lip ink to stay on without fading away.

Sadly, I'm really disappointed.  After the lovely experience of first application and how smoothly it went on, how lightweight it felt, and how wonderful it looked, it just didn't last.  I don't think I'll be purchasing these in every single colour, like I initially thought I would.

Tips: Maybe try before you buy, if you can.

Lightweight and great stay.

The first thing I noticed was the packaging is a little...meh. Obviously that doesn't impact on the product itself, but doesn't everyone love a cute lipstick? I found the applicator wand to be very effective, its a diamond/triangle type shape, which made application a breeze and meant you could fully cover the lips, and get a nice sharp edge, without needing a lip-liner - of course you can always use that too, but you don't have to for a precise look. There wasn't a particular smell, which I personally find a bonus as some lipsticks don't have the most pleasant smell, unless it's really yummy smelling of course, but considering it goes on your lips, well ya know, no one likes a yucky smelling product so close to their mouth,

As far as the actual formula goes, I was very pleasantly surprised at just how light weight it felt! I am not a fan of being able to obviously feel my makeup, and considering this goes matte, I had figured it would have that typical dry feeling on the lips, but it really didn't! After taking the excess off on the back of my hand, I found it didn't transfer almost at all afterwards. Considering how lightweight it felt, it didn't crease or look dry on lips whilst on, which is usually the case with matte styles for me, so it kept a very even finish and looked really nice on.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the colour but that was my personal opinion, and I obviously prefer different shades, but it might be a perfect fit for someone else (it simply didn't suit my features), and if they have a shade I do like, I certainly would use it regularly.

I am not a huge lipstick wearer, as I tend to go for more natural glossy types due to having, unfortunately, naturally chapped lips, I also have lip fillers so I like to keep my lips hydrated. However, I really like the formula in this product, and if I can find a shade I like, I will definitely be re-purchasing myself.

L'Oréal Paris Rouge Signature Ink

I am currently trialling one of the L'Oréal Paris Rouge Signature liquid lip inks from the Rouge Signature range by L'Oréal Paris. This lip ink is the shade No.113 called I DON'T. It has an appealing appearance. It looks like most other lipsticks or lipglosses with an applicator. When you look at it, you can see the bright red lipstick through the smokey see through, glass-like part of the lip ink. It has a lid with applicator that twists off easy.

I tried this on my lips to add a pop of bold colour to my pout. I tried to apply a thin layer as best I could. I used the applicator to swipe it on my lips, it glided on smoothly and within about 20 minutes, it was dry enough not to smudge. This lip ink gave my lips a super-lightweight finish. It didn't feel uncomfortable and had a pigmented soft-matte finish that lasted during the day. My lips were able to breathe because of the in-oil water formula.

I wanted to see if it would smudge off after I had a applied it and it had dried so, I held a tissue to my lips and pressed it. When I pulled the tissue away and looked at it, there was barely any lip stain on it which I thought was great.

I didn't really like the slight scent it has. It's not overpowering but I could smell it when I applied it to my lips. I have tan skin tone but this shade complimented my skin even though, it's red. It did make my lips stand out.

This L'Oréal Paris Rouge Signature lip ink fits in my hand perfectly and would be great to keep on hand in your purse for touching up your lip makeup and making a bold statement day or night.

I would love to try the other lip stains in the range as the pinks and a few other shades in the Rouge range have caught my eye. This shade is pretty but a little bright for me even though, it goes with my skin tone. I'll most likely only wear it when I want to make a statement and make my lips pop.

I probably would try other lip inks in this range and may purchase some in the near future as I need to build up my small lipstick collection. You can buy these from selected Supermarkets, Pharmacies and you can buy them at The Chemist Warehouse.

Surprisingly lightweight!

Most of my experiences with liquid lipsticks have been sad, dry, cakey affairs so the Signature Ink in came as a real surprise. Glides on beautifully and dried quickly to a velvety soft finish that isn't quite 'like you're not even wearing lipstick', but comes pretty close.

I was worried about ease of application with such a runny liquid - I was expecting a lot of feathering at the edges of the lips and difficulty applying it tidily, but it glides on easily and the pointed applicator paddle is super easy to work with.

The packaging was lovely, too - a very elegant tube that looks quite classy.

The colour ('I Don't' - a bright red) was very bold and bright, though did stain my lips intensely - even overnight. On the bright side, at least it wasn't as noticeable when it was wearing off. And wear off it did - overall the staying power is decent, I get a solid couple of hours out of it without any deterioration if I'm not drinking or eating, but it does transfer quite easily if your lips are coming into contact with anything.

I tried it with and without lip liner and didn't find any difference in ease of application, or how long it lasted.

Overall, I really do love this lipstick even if it doesn't quite stack up to the implied 'all day' longevity - I'll continue to use it for sure.
