Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Review

I recently bought Berry Haute, which is a dupe for MAC Up the Amp, and I love it. The colour is pretty and wearable, and the formula of the lipstick is good. This lipstick feels really moisturising, and it glides on so smoothly. It was better than I thought it would be. I also have Va Va Violet, which unfortunately isn't as good (application is patchy and uneven, but the colour is nice). Berry Haute, is definitely one of my favourites.

This lipstick was the first coloured lipstick I had brought, I always went towards the nude lip because I was so afraid of how silly I would look. But when the Plum lips were the hot new thing I had the urge to go out and get me a plum lipstick. Kmart was having a sale and I was lucky to pick up Plum baby 467 for $10. Its a plum red colour with a pearl shimmer. The colour is absolutely gorgeous!

Applying the lipstick is unbelievable, it glides on with any effort and smothers your lips with ease, you really have to try this lipstick to believe it! The formula is thick and creamy, it has no scent (which is a big plus in my books) You don't have to outline your lips with lip liner as it doesn't bleed, but the wear time is only a few hours.

It is one of my most favourite lipsticks I own, even if you have to pay full price they are worth it. I absolutely love this colour!

Revlon Super Lustrous is always one of my go to lipsticks, a lovely creamy feel on the lips, not drying, lasts well and great colours. I have a few different colours but I tend to stick to pinks or browns with this brand, it's a good everyday lipstick.

Perhaps I got an old formula before they infused with all the good sounding moisturizers. I just got at the make up sale for $5 and in very violet. The colour is very dark almost black I was hoping it was not that dark but dark maroon and burgundy lipstick is going to be really fashionable this season apparently so I guess I can lighten it up with another colour mixed in with it. It felt dry on my lips and made the imperfection of dry lips obvious on me I will double check but it is definatley revlon. I have another revlon lipstick in a different shade and I find it much nicer on the lips. Update I now have a pink shade of this lip stick and its wonderfully hydrating like a balm so my rating goes up for this the hydration did soak up into my lips and leave colour pigments behind after a few hours but its a great improvement on the formula

I have this lipstick in #745 Raspberry Bite and #386 Garnet Chrome and I love both of the colours! They are richly pigmented. I do have a bit of trouble with application because of the high pigmentation, sometimes it can look like I have just smeared it 'around' my lips (I may have to learn how to use a lip brush or something like that to get a more precise application, I also have no idea how to use a lip pencil and maybe that would help?)

They last well as long as you aren't eating/drinking. I haven't taken this into consideration though when rating this product as in my experience, there are not many lipsticks that stand the test of time if you are eating/drinking.

I have this in a couple of colours as they are all really pretty. For me it is moisturising and feels nice on the lip, but doesnt seem to be very long wearing.

I have the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the Creme shade Va Va Violet. The first thing I noticed after using this colour for the first time is that it rubs off very easily and I constantly had to reapply it during the day, this was very noticeable against my pale skin and lips. I went for a dark purple shade after seeing Lorde in a similar colour but not being able to afford MAC at the time. It says the RRP is $12.99 but I paid $24.50. Not sure if it was the store or the brand with that price though. Overall I think the colour and shade are worth it in the end.

I have lip sticks 622 Daring Pink and 435 Love That Pink. I love this fabulous product. It keeps your lips feeling moisturised all day and not dried out like some other lipsticks I have used. Nor do they smudge around the mouth like other lips sticks, making your make up look messy.

I do find you need to retouch up after drinking and eating, but I do not mind because they are so cheap. I found one of them at a chemist for $20.00 and the other at a really cheap outlet shop that is on Queen Street for $8.00! And I have had them both about 4-5 months now and have used them every day pretty much and I still have a lot left. I highly recommend people to try this!

I love the Revlon lipstick ranges as there are usually so many colour options to choose from! I have two different lipsticks from the Super Lustrous range - #413 (Twinkled Pink) and #457 (Wild Orchid), both of which have a "Pearl" finish. Twinkled Pink is a peachy-nude shade, and Wild Orchid is a bright fuschia shade - both these colours are so beautiful and have a nice pearly sheen to it, given that these are the "Pearl" finish.

The lipstick is easy to apply and glides on nicely, and I also find that they can be quite pigmented (depending on what colour and finish you have - e.g. I find my Wild Orchid one is more pigmented that Twinkled Pink, because Wild Orchid is a darker shade). I like how it doesn't dry out my lips, and they stay on quite well but reapplications during the day are needed. The lipstick is also easy to remove at the end of the day, without staining your lips. Next time I'd love to try some of their lipsticks in other finishes, like "Matte" or "Creme". Revlon lipsticks are something that everyone should at least try once, if not more!

I looooove this lipstick! I have it in the shade Pink Cognito from the 'Shine' range and it's simply lush! Never before have I tried such a creamy lipstick - it goes on like butter on piping hot toast and it sits there looking shiny and pretty and invitingly delicious! (Not that I'd let The Husband kiss me whilst I was waring lipstick - I'm too lazy about reapplication for that!) Speaking of reapplication - it doesn't last that long on my lips, maybe 90 minutes tops. But as it doesn't promise long lasting wear I'm not too worried. It does however promise even wear and it does deliver on that as I don't end up with a lipstick ring around the edges of my mouth. Best of all my lips don't get all dry and chapped looking after wearing it. For the price this lipstick with it's gorgeous formula and chic packaging is an absolute must for any lippy lover!
