Pantene Moisture Renewal Shampoo Review

Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal claims to "erase the damage of 100 blow dries", while my hair is slightly damaged from years of dying, straightening and blow drying I did not feel it made a very noticeable difference to the health of my hair. My ends did feel slightly silkier but not enough to encourage me to rush out and purchase the product. However, I usually find with moisture renewal shampoos they often make my roots too oily. Pantene Pro-V Daily Moisture Renewal did work with my natural moisture layers in my hair (as it claims to do) so this was a definite bonus of the product.

I used to use Pantene shampoo many years ago, so was quite excited to try out their new range. The packaging is quite classy, white and gold , and will grace any bathroom. The smell is very subtle and decidedly average. No excitement there. The shampoo is quite creamy and doesn't take much to work up a good lather. It made my hair feel velvety rather than satiny, so I was a little disappointed. It looked quite nice when it was dry, though. But not great.

I was really excited to try this brand as I havent used it in almost a decade.

The scent was pretty darn nice and the smell did linger in my hair after washing, which I LOVE!

When it came to washing my hair with it, it was pretty standard and normal like most shampoos, didnt need to use any more or any less than regular shampoo.

Once my hair was air dried(which took a lot longer than usual) it looked and felt almost greasy, gave it a once over with my blow dryer and straightener and it had that "shiny but bordering on greasy" look to it. Jump to day 2 my hair was greasy, limp, flat. Just not pretty I tried washing my hair again and drying with my hair dryer but it didnt help much in regards to the greasy look

Lovely scent but wasnt for me

This shampoo and conditioner has a good smell (if you are picky with your shampoo and conditioner smell like me), has a good consistency, and a little goes a long way even on my hair. i have medium length hair that is fine, but there's a lot of it so trying to keep my hair not frizzy yet full of life is hard. however since i have used this product my hair is less frizzy and it has its curls and volume back. for the conditioner I comb it through with my fingers and keep it on (like 2-3 minutes), and rinse. This is the best feeling conditioner I've ever used in my 19 years of life, It's like silk. The best part the feeling doesn't wear off right after the wash its still there till the next time you wash your hair. My hair is so soft and moisturized and I'm totally in love with this product.

Looking forward to my first trial product I could smell the pleasent fragrance of Apple before I had it out of the box. I have very fine wavey shoulder length hair which is dry, has sun damage and split ends with working outside all day. I used a very small amount of shampoo as this lathers up a lot.(used too much the first time around. After first shampoo and condition my hair felt clean and was easier to comb through after being towel dried. I have noticed it has helped moisturise my hair without making it look or feel greased, also my split ends are less noticeable. Keeps my hair manageable till the end of the day by being less knotty. I would recommend this product to a friend, it is reasonably priced and would go along way.

I approached the shower with glee as I was excited to be trialling a product I had not used before. In fact, it's been many years since I have used any Pantene products. I purposely left my hair for a few days from the previous wash and as I had been in the garden and mowing lawns, I can assure you, by the time I used this product my hair was in a very ready state for some pampering. And pampering it was...from the moment I opened the shampoo bottle and caught a whiff of the fragrance I knew this shower was going to seem more luxurious than normal. The shampoo folded out of the bottle like glossy silk and although my hair was, as mentioned, rather dirty I noticed I needed less shampoo than normal for the first wash. It retained the "bubbles" without being too excessive but enough to feel the initial shampoo was lifting the dirt and oils. The second shampoo I, of course, needed to use slightly less and noticed when rinsing that it rinsed out very easily and although it squeaked to show it was clean and well rinsed, it wasn't a "screechy" squeak indicating too many natural oils had been washed away. Even though I have a lot of hair, my hair itself is very fine so I knew I would not need to use a large amount of conditioner. The small amount I used was enough to easily detangle my hair and left it feeling silky and smooth, and best of all natural. Not gluggy at all like some products can do. I also noticed that once my hair was dry it tended to be less fly-away than normal. And the fragrance...every time I moved my head I would catch a whiff of the lovely fragrance...a nice reminder of a lovely experience!! As the review samples were only small....I can assure you when the current shampoo & conditioner I have been using runs out I will seriously consider purchasing this product.

My hair felt great after the first time using this but that is normal for when I change my shampoo. After 3 - 4 washes my hair felt heavy and lacked its normal body. It felt like it was coated in something that was making it heavy and I needed to wash my hair more often.

The first day I tried the product I noticed how it has such a pleasant smell, a smell definitely fit for hair. I have very greasy hair so usually double shampoo to avoid this look, with this shampoo, I felt this was definitely necessary to clean my hair properly. Following this I found I had to use quite a lot of conditioner for it to work in my hair, as I often do. I found I ran out of conditioner much quicker than shampoo, how ever the conditioner is quite dense and thick. I let my hair air dry after the use and my hair was quite soft and full of moisture, a like any of the Pantene products I have tried. Overall, the results were good with the use of a lot of product, and would be even better when blow dried and straightened.

I personally think the shampoo smells amazing. My hair is really shiny and so soft after using both the shampoo and conditioner. The only con for me is after a few days use my hair started feeling weighed down and my scalp started feeling irritated from product buildup even after spending a long time in the shower to make sure everything was completely washed out. I do feel i would need to use a clarifying shampoo more often if using the Pantene shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis. However I really like this product and my hair looks and smells amazing
