Garnier Fructis Hair Food Macadamia Shampoo

The consistency is slightly thinner compared to the conditioner and clear to look at. Application it is easy to apply onto the scalp without issue or without needing more product. I always double shampoo to help with my flaky scalp. Fragrance isn't overpowering while using the product I did notice the scent lasts for a few days it smells nutty or like coconut. Coverage I didn't need a lot of product to cover my scalp. Longevity of scent and quick application and easy to wash out product. Usage is easy to use no stress with having to leave the product in for a long time while showering without wasting so much water. Apply and wash out. Price point is roughly about 9 to 12 dollars which isn't bad for what the product offers without nasty chemicals added in. Packaging is basic says its recyclable not too sure if the plastic is soft enough to be recycled within New Zealand itself. Results I'm happy with results my hair is still a little frizzy but I can live with it less knots which is a bonus it does seem to detangle and not weigh down my hair. My sensitive scalp isn't itchy after using this product which is great. I feel my hair has benefited from this product within a short period of time. I would recommend trying out this product for yourself I don't have anything to really fault the product on. Love how its vegan and paraben free.

I was a little surprised when I squeezed out this shampoo. It was completely clear but so thick and beautiful. I have colour treated hair and I it looked great after using this shampoo. It comes out nicely and clearly isn't full of water so really concentrated. I love how it felt in my hair and I didn't need heaps to do the job well. I feel like this would last me well for a long time since I don't need to use a huge amount. Because of how well this is priced I feel like it's a no brainer and it performs so well compared to similarly priced shampoos. I love the squarish packaging as it fits so well into the shelves and I also love the way the bottles are quite different making it so easy to pick up the shampoo rather than the conditioner. I love that this shampoo made my hair feel smooth but also bright and not dull. I would love to keep using this shampoo and see what the long term results are. I would definitely recommend this to anyone trying other supermarket brands of shampoo or even if you're a salon product only kind of person. You might just be pleasantly surprised!

First off, I really like this packaging. It's a slimmer, smaller bottle than most, so it's less awkward to manage when wet, and it fits more easily into the shower shelves too. I do quite like the pump top option generally, but this flip-top lid clicks solidly shut and seals well, which is great for travelling, and it's easy to dispense exactly how much product you want. Plus it's all recyclable, which is a huge plus in my book.

The shampoo itself is clear and quite thick, like a lightweight gel, and has a mild, very pleasant, sweet vanilla-y, lightly coconut-y sort of fragrance. Not overpowering at all. Just really nice.

Now to the formula... It's great! Perfect for my dry, thick, very curly hair. It's gentle and moisturising; it doesn't create a really foamy lather, more of a soft, creamy lather, which I like, as I feel like the high-foaming shampoos often strip my hair. This one feels like it's nurturing and cleansing at the same time. Perfect for me. And it doesn't weigh down my hair at all.

I found I didn't need to use much product at all for it to do its job, so, yes, it's a smaller bottle than some, but it'll last well.

I would recommend this to anyone with dry or curly hair. It made my hair feel hydrated and nourished but also clean and light, making my curls more bouncy and shiny. I'm not sure I'd say they were smoother... To achieve really glossy, high-definition, smoothed curls, I need to add a leave-in cream or mousse, usually formulated with silicone, sadly. But I generally do that just when I want my hair to look extra special, so for my daily care, I'll be really happy to avoid the nasties and silicones, and keep things as natural as possible with the lovely Macadamia Hair Food. It's a keeper.

The shape is cool but a little bit hard to grip when squeezing product out. The consistency is nice and creamy and smells absolutely wonderful!!!

The shampoo lathers well, I have really thick hair and it was easy to use and feels nice when using.

product does what it says, works well and is easy to use. Doesn’t strip the hair either which is a bonus for me as I have thick frizzy hair! I personally am not too keen on the price $12 at countdown.

I must admit I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. I only did use it once during my trial period as I don't need to wash my hair often, my hair is coarse and dry in the end due to bleach. I usually use salon shampoo so I am quite happy with how this was on par with the salon products I use. It didn't lather very much which I know isn't important but it's hard to change that mind-set, otherwise the bottle looks more like milkshakes than shampoo, which I haven't decided if it's a good thing or not :)

The shampoo's fragrance is pleasant and light, and it is a smoother, runny consistency - like most shampoos. It's clear with a golden tint. Bonus; the lid is wide and flat so that you can store it upside down.

The shampoo lathers very easily. It definitely makes my hair smoother and look more healthy, as advertised. However, I would not recommend it for those looking for volume as it did make my hair flatter (great for me!).

I am delighted that this shampoo controls the frizziness in my hair.

I’m always keen to try new hair products. I’ve tried a few in the past none of them have really become staples to my household yet. I was excited to try this new product from Garnier .

The packaging of this bottle reminds me of a flavoured milk bottle shape. Labelling is eye catching and different amongst my other hair care products. Consistency fluid smooth to touch has a sweet aroma of macadamia. Smells lovely . My hair type is thick . I rinse my hair with water and apply this to my hair . I put about a 50 cent coin in my hair nothing happened. Then I added quarter of cup and managed to build up a lather. I noticed there was minimal foam . My hair felt rough as guts after using it . My hair types not the easiest. Thank god for its saving grace sister product conditioner to ease the coarseness.

Overall my hair felt clean . Definitely not smoother with this product alone . I would need a lot more product for the thickness of my hair . On its own I wouldn’t use it again. As duo it’s more effective.

Product works well. Leaves hair smooth, shiny and manageable. Don't much care for the nutty smell, but you get used to it before it disappears. Will purchase again as it does a great job. Used a little bit more product than originally anticipated, but lathers up well.

Naturally I have long curly and dry hair. I usually need a lot of shampoo to get it fully clean. When I read vegan for some reason I assumed it wouldn't be a latherer. I was wrong! Didn't take much product at all to be a foamy cloud on my head. Product has a beautiful smell. My hair was left clean and shiny. I also really like the packaging and the ease of getting product out like a ketchup bottle.

I was very excited to try this shampoo as in the last year my hair has become very frizzy after I wash it and I have to say I am very impressed! The bottle is not very attractive but is a nice shape to hold when slippery in the shower. I'm not very keen on the scent... It has a distinct macadamia smell, which is no surprise as this is what it is made out of, but I prefer more perfume scents. It is quite a thick clear gel and lathers very easily so you don't need a lot. After a few washes I can feel a slight coating on my hair which is not greasy or weighed down but has calmed the frizz. I used this shampoo in conjunction with the conditioner and am very pleased with the results.
