I have used Living Nature for the past 3 months or so. I first used their Balancing Night Gel which really really really helped with my acne.
But this review is on their Manuka Honey Gel, so I will share with you my experience on that instead.
This gel works to calm the redness of my pimples (cystic and clogged pores). It works by reducing the size of the individual pimples itself, and drying them. However it doesn't work in an instant/overnight.
This gel works over time, for me, depending on the types of pimple it takes somewhere around 2 or 3 - 5 days to completely dry a pimple.
While that sounds like a longgg time, once the acne heals it doesn't pop up again on the same spot / areas around it.
That usually happens to me with other more instant acne gels. It dries one but in the next few days another one pops up around the area.
So overall I feel this acne treatment really works by doing what it says: cleansing and healing the pimple.
I have recommended this to my friend who is also suffering from acne-prone skin. I am confident she will be happy with the result as well, you just have to be patient with this one.
In my ongoing attempts to rid my skin of pimples and acne I bought this product at Living Nature's base in Kerikeri. (By the way, the ladies there are very knowledgable and if you're ever passing through I would recommend popping in to check out their range and have a chat).
I applied the gel every night after cleansing and before moisturising and found it to be quite good at helping to soothe and heal smaller pimples - but it did nothing for the deeper pimples or acne which like to pop up rather regularly.
The aroma is quite medicinal and the texture not too 'tacky' - and it dried quickly, which is great because it means you can put your moisturiser on and hit the hay quickly :)
If you get surface pimples I'd definitely recommend you give this product a go, however I'd give it a miss if you're like me and are prone to the nastier variety of zits and acne.
