I picked this up off Amazon and I love it. The shadows are buttery soft, blend amazingly and wear really well. The colours are really wearable for day or night and you can get a heap of looks from the palette. You get great colour payoff and very little fall out. The packaging is compact and good for travel. There is a good blend of matte and shimmer shadows.

After reading so much hype about it, I folded like a cheap pocket knife and decided to get this palette. Firstly, I have to say it was a MISSION to get it: The first purchase of Beauty.com - had me place an order and it got cancelled after a week (don't remember the details as to why!). So then I decided to order it off Fishpond. I waited 6 weeks, no arrival. I contacted Fishpond. They said I hadn't bought it from a verified seller so my order got cancelled and I got a refund. I nearly gave up, but finally got some success again with a seller Fishpond recommended (verified seller this time). Big picture: I'm really disappointed. Not with the quality - that's top notch (lovely buttery and extremely soft eyeshadows) but I think the colours are seriously below par. It needs to be said that I own a LOT of eyeshadow palettes and Mac eyeshadows so I'm probably a tough person to Wow. But on balance I really dislike nearly all of the frost colours, I think the shades are awful and none of them suit me. Garnet - is similar to Antiqued by MAC, but Antiqued is a much nicer colour (brighter, more intense, the shade works better on my cool toned skin). The colour Deep Purple is really dark and barely purple at all on the skin. As for the pale shades: They are nothing special. The winners of the palette are all the mattes, all are great and are now all I use. All in all, I really regret buying this, I certainly won't be getting the new Pro Palette that just got released. This isn't a terrible palette, I just think it's really boring too be honest! I much prefer any of my Naked Palettes over this, no competition (I have all three Nakeds!)
Tips: Get a Naked palette instead...
If you're new to makeup this is an awesome first palette to try. None of the colours are too extreme; they will suit a lot of people I think, and the quality of the shadows are high and very easy to work with. he colours are very pigmented and just one tap of a brush then onto the lid gives good colour pay-off.
I am cool-toned and pale, and these colours work well for me for the most part. However, I find that the colour CREAM does not show up very well on my pale skin, and I reach for WHITE more as a highlight / brow-bone shade.
TAUPE and SABLE are both nice crease colours, and I reach for Espresso a lot to darken the outer-V of my lid (it looks really nice paired with GOLD).
I don't reach for BLACK or SLATE often as ESPRESSO is dark enough for me.
I am really disappointed with the colour DEEP PURPLE. It looks nice in the pan but on my skin it is very dark, almost muddy, and doesn't appear purple at all.
GARNET is another one that I was excited to use but doesn't look that great on.
I would have preferred a shimmery brown shade rather than PEWTER as I don't find much use for it.
I reach for NUDE, CHAMPAGNE and LT. BRONZE a lot.
GOLD is my favourite! It is so pigmented and vibrant.
I found that ever since buying the Lorac Unzipped palette that I reach for that far more often than the Lorac Pro. I personally love every single colour in the Unzipped and they all can work well together.
Tips: Use a fluffy blender brush, dip it in TAUPE, and blend in windscreen wiper motions in your crease.
On a flat brush, apply LT. BRONZE to the inner third of your lid, up to the crease.
Apply GOLD on the outer third.
Dip the tip of the blender brush into ESPRESSO and apply it to your outer-V of your lid and blend into the crease slightly.
Using an angled liner brush, apply SABLE as eyeliner on your lower lash line then blend slightly with the blender brush.
Apply WHITE on your brow bone and inner corner of your eye to highlight.
Oh my word! This is my new baby! The colours are just WOW!! They are so creamy and pigmented! You only need a small amount for each application because the pigment is so amazing! I love the range of Mattes and Shimmers 8 of each! I would highly recommend getting this palette if you are a beginner, it is my favourite out of all the palettes I own.
Without this palette, my makeup collection is not complete. I purchased mine off Sephora and of course used a forwarding service to get it to me and when it arrived I was in love with this palette instantly.
It has all my favourite eyeshadow shades that I love, bronze, gold and a nice deep purple as well as my favourite crease shades being taupe and espresso depending on how dramatic my eye look is going to be. I find this palette so versatile and it has every shade you'll need for any occasion.
I love how buttery and creamy these shadows are and how easily they blend. It does come with a price tag though so be weary of that but in saying that it's definitely worth the money.
Tips: Use with Carousel eye brushes that you can purchase from www.beautybliss.co.nz for a flawless eye look
I love how there is equal amounts of matte to shimmer shades. For me matte is more day wear and shimmer is more evening. So having a palette that caters for all is fantastic. The pigmentation is great. I did get a little trouble with fall out. But one quick tap of the brush solves that. You can create a nude to a dark smokey eye with Lorac!
Perfect palette for a beginning as there is a great variety, they're easy to blend and nice and neutral with a pop of different colours. Personally, I prefer Naked Palettes as there's less fall out and more in the pan. However, the mattes are perfect and the gold and garnet and stunning. This palette includes shades for eyebrows, inner corner and eyeliner. Highly recommend, they are extremely pigmented.
Tips: If you have cooler skin tones and prefer cooler eyeshadows I would recommend checking out the second edition of the palette.
This palette is my go-to every single day palette. The pigmentation of the shadows is so good and the texture is so creamy and buttery. The range in colours is great and you can do so many different looks with it. The shimmer colours are ridiculously crazily good. I have blue eyes and i LOVE using Copper as it just makes them pop! I got mine using a shipping service and I don't think I could ever go without this palette now, I have the Mega Pro as well and it is just amazing. All I need now is the Pro 2!!
Tips: Use Opal as an inner corner highlight and you will not be sorry.
So many looks. Highly pigmented and the glitters are not chunky and don't have any fallout. I find myself reaching for this almost daily. The mauve and light pink matte colours are hands down my favourites. I've always used a primer so I'm not sure what the wear time would be without a primer - but I do love how they last. As for the packaging, after two months of use, its looking a bit grubby and not as pretty as it was when it arrived. There is a decent sized mirror and its nice and thin. I can see this travelling with me in the future!
Tips: For a bright look - apply a base such as MAC Painterly paint pot and sweep champagne all over your lids and up into your crease. Follow up with some mascara and a bright lip :)
This is definitely my most favourite eye shadow I have ever used, and this palette has a great mix of matte and shimmers you can work into any look. The powders are richly pigmented and buttery, and so wonderful to apply. When I first got this palette it took me a while to lessen how much product I was using- a little goes a long long way. There are some really easy wearing everyday natural shades, and some amazing super gorgeous unique ones too- garnet would be my favourite. The Browns are perfect for shadows and the nude shimmers look great on the eye or as a sneaky bit of highlight. I do like the packaging, but not the matte finish and love that you get a great primer with it. Definitely worth the investment- mine always goes in my carry make up bag for travelling because it's so versatile and perfect.
Tips: The right brush makes all the difference :)
