I remember when Glam Shine first hit the market, it was my go-to gloss for a night out on the town, so I was very excited to review this gloss. The applicator makes it easy to slick the gloss on, however the colour wasn't as red as the bottle suggests (or as red as it goes on when you swipe it on your hand), it came out more of a pinky/red, which was no bad thing, but not what I expected. The texture was very sticky, but I think since it's meant to stick to your lips for six hours this is it be expected.
I put the gloss through three tests: The Infant Smooch test, the Cup of Tea test and the Lunch test. I was amazed to see it survived The Infant Smooch test, even though a goodly amount ended up on the wee ones cheek. On to the Tea Test and gloss was left on the cup but still remained on my lips albeit a faded version of the original colours. Finally the Lunch test. Unfortunately this was its undoing. Post-sandwich there was not a hint of gloss to be seen.
One unexpected bonus of this gloss however was that my lips were unbelievably soft in the evenings after wearing it during the day. Almost like they'd been exfoliated and moisturised.
Would I wear this gloss again? If I was going out at night to a non-eating function or for a night on the town, definitely. However for day-to-day wear I would give it a pass.
Well I entered into this trial with great anticipation, I love lip gloss and what a stunning colour! I put on the lip gloss for my trial to see if it would stand the test of time, 6 hours it says on the packaging. I applied the gloss and it felt very sticky, not a nice feeling. The colour looked very pretty. Well 30 minutes later I had had a drink and oh I looked in the mirror and it was gone! Yet I still had a sticky residue on my lips. So the product didn't last and it didn't feel nice and smooth like normal lip glosses does. It was a pretty colour but I wouldn't purchase this lip gloss.
