Was so excited to try this product out, especially with its claim to last for 6 hours! Unfortunately it fell very short of last the distance. Other than that the product itself was quite nice, the applicator is really great for when you're on the run and having to put your gloss on quickly. I wouldn't say that the colour lives up to what it looks like in the pack but it was still ok. Overall I don't think I would go out and purchase this product but I will keep using my one that I have at the moment till it runs out.

L'Oreal Glam Shine Absolutely Red
Reviews
Tips: If you are wearing it on a windy day don't where your hair down. Might sound silly but the gloss is quite sticky so I found that my hair kept sticking to my face.
I'm a true Revlon fan! I have tried a few colours in this range and like them all. They don't feel dry and do stay on for a good few hours. Easy to re-apply later in the day, feel great on too.
Big fan of this range, I have several shades and they all last well. Was very excited to try an Absolutely Red shade - would it be as good as the others? A word first about the packaging - I love the way this product looks and the applicator wand is brilliant. So was the red colour I could see within! Unfortunately, as others have said, the colour does not go on as bright red as one might hope. However, bright red is not an everyday shade for me, so I consoled myself with the fact that the toned-down pinky-red was better for work. I quite like the stickiness others have complained about. It leaves my lips feeling moisturised. A bit transferred to my morning coffee cup, but I still had a decent sheen on the lips. After three hours of work (and three and a half hours after applying), the gloss needed a refresh. So the 6-hour claim isn't quite right. But I still think 3 hours is pretty good! I'll continue to use this, on its own or perhaps over my fave Clarins matte ruby red lipstick when I truly DO want absolutely red lips. All in all, not as happy as I was with my other Glam Shine shades - but nevertheless it performed better than many lip glosses (most of which I find slide off after ten minutes!).
Tips: Apply to clean, dry, unmoisturised lips for the best result (if you put a balm on first, the product will slide off). And try to let the gloss sit for a few minutes before grabbing that morning cuppa!
Hey guys! Right so first thing that draws me to a lipgloss is of course the shade as i'm sure this is the case for most people! Ok so the shade is called 'absolutely red'.I can ABSOLUTELY say that this is not the case. The colour is no where near dense enough for my liking! Its more of a pinkish down played red. So already there is disappointment with the product. Which is a shame as it appeared to look like a luscious red shade! However it probably would look favorable over a proper red lipstick to add luster and fun! So the lipgloss promises to last 6 hours, unfortunately this is untrue, I am a big tea drinker and it did not stand the test of time I'm afraid. As far as the consistency goes it wasn't overly thick (hardly any pigment remember!) but it was super sticky. Which is really not favorable when you have a partner. I actually thought twice and wiped this off before visiting my man due to it's stick power...I like to leave proper vivid colour on my mans cheeks not sticky gloss. Overall I didn't find the lipgloss to be overly 'glossy' which is a real shame. Ha also do not wear this out if you are out for a meal! Crumbs stick to it! so not only have you got a boring shade of barely there red...you also will have crusty looking lips! :) As far as the price goes I would not be paying $34.00 for this! I am actually a fan of the more recent loreal glam shines so was so surprised that this one was a complete let down! the wand of the gloss is pretty good, it heart shape wand has the potential to provide great coverage however the products consistency is all wrong. Lip glosses always run the risk of over drying your lips however this one made my lips flaky after only a couple of uses!
Tips: LIP BALM LIP BALMLIP BALM! if you insist on wearing this always apply lip balm or some form of emoilliant before use! Allow the lip balm or paw paw cream five minutes to soak into the lips before application. As stated above if your off out put it on top of a matte red shade to give your lips some sparkle quality! Due to its sticky consistency it would be ok to wear out as you aren't the one cleaning your stained wine glasses! Use with caution! !!
This product claims to last for 6 hours and to volumise your lips 20%. I don't know if it lives up to either of these but I still liked this product. I don't think the colour is a red, red but I think the pinky/red colour of this gloss actually suited me better. What I liked about the product was that it had a nice applicator (wide at the bottom and thinner at the top which helped to get a precise application). The product is a bit sticky but this didn't really bother me. I would much prefer a bit of moisture than a dry product. The shimmer and gloss is good when you first put it on but it does tend to fade quickly. I will continue to use the product but don't know whether I will repurchase when it runs out.
Tips: Make sure you've had your morning coffee first- otherwise a lot gets left on the cup!
I remember when Glam Shine first hit the market, it was my go-to gloss for a night out on the town, so I was very excited to review this gloss. The applicator makes it easy to slick the gloss on, however the colour wasn't as red as the bottle suggests (or as red as it goes on when you swipe it on your hand), it came out more of a pinky/red, which was no bad thing, but not what I expected. The texture was very sticky, but I think since it's meant to stick to your lips for six hours this is it be expected.
I put the gloss through three tests: The Infant Smooch test, the Cup of Tea test and the Lunch test. I was amazed to see it survived The Infant Smooch test, even though a goodly amount ended up on the wee ones cheek. On to the Tea Test and gloss was left on the cup but still remained on my lips albeit a faded version of the original colours. Finally the Lunch test. Unfortunately this was its undoing. Post-sandwich there was not a hint of gloss to be seen.
One unexpected bonus of this gloss however was that my lips were unbelievably soft in the evenings after wearing it during the day. Almost like they'd been exfoliated and moisturised.
Would I wear this gloss again? If I was going out at night to a non-eating function or for a night on the town, definitely. However for day-to-day wear I would give it a pass.
Tips: Do NOT under any circumstances attempt to eat a sausage roll whilst driving and wearing this gloss. You'll end up with a very unsexy coating of flaky pastry on your lips ;)
Well I entered into this trial with great anticipation, I love lip gloss and what a stunning colour! I put on the lip gloss for my trial to see if it would stand the test of time, 6 hours it says on the packaging. I applied the gloss and it felt very sticky, not a nice feeling. The colour looked very pretty. Well 30 minutes later I had had a drink and oh I looked in the mirror and it was gone! Yet I still had a sticky residue on my lips. So the product didn't last and it didn't feel nice and smooth like normal lip glosses does. It was a pretty colour but I wouldn't purchase this lip gloss.
I found this lipstick very sticky, does not stay on long and you have to keep applying but every time you apply it is sticky. Looks nice, Glossy and Spartkly but again very sticky.
