I love this facial wash. It's supposed to be a scrub sort of wash but it's gentle enough for daily use. I first discovered this when I was having quite a few pimples that weren't going away and my face skin was red. I used this and within the next few days the redness seemed to have diminished and the pimples started going away. After I knew I had to have it. It smells a bit herbal and a lot like lavender, it actually has little bits of the lavender flower in it. One of the things I like about it is how soft and smooth your face feels but also the herbal oils and glycerine in the cleanser moisturize your face in the shower so that when you come out if it takes you awhile to moisturize your body you face isn't all dry. I've used this cleanser a few days after a microdermabrasion treatment and it was nice and gentle on my skin. The only cons to this cleanser is that when you take a pinch to make a paste and then rub it on your face little bits of lavender flower get all over the sink and the other thing is the cleanser has a shelf life of three months unlike other cleansers. But other than that it's a wonderful cleanser good for all skin types and really good for those that haven't gotten into the habit of moisturizing daily as this puts a bit of moisture on the skin so it wouldn't be as dry. This is probably my favourite product from Lush so far.

Tips: When you purchase a pot of this try and get a little sample pot from the to store a bit of this cleanser in the bathroom. Store your full sized pot somewhere dry and just refill the sample pot as you need more cleanser. This saves it from getting wet because if this gets wet it's pretty much game over. So don't store it in the shower. Speaking of the shower, I like to take a little pinch of this in the shower with me to make a paste and scrub my face while I'm in the shower and then leave it on while I wash my body. Making a paste in the shower means that any little bits of lavender get rinsed away so there's no mess.
I had jacked up Worldofsooziewong to get me a comforter gel and she threw in some samples for me. I wasn't expecting alot of samples and it was a lovely surprise. I haven't really explored Lush cleansers before. I thought this sample was a great first impression into trying it.
My sample pot I got given is reminiscent of the full sized pots. Black sturdy little pot that holds lots of product safely. First appearance of this cleanser is thick beige paste with herbs running through it grainy texture. This scent reminds me of freshly crushed herbs but on a mild scale.
With application I pick a bit out of the pot place it in my palm. Bits fell everywhere, kinda messy. I mix a teaspoon of water into it making it form into a workable paste. I lather this on my face. I can feel this grainy paste working its way into my skin. I like to warm a cloth to help remove this.
After trying this my skin has a healthy glow after it.Normally my skin dries out after cleansing but didn't with this one. So far Im using it in conjuction with my skincare products and haven't had any skin irritations or problems.
Overall it was kind of tricky to apply being quite dry. But I managed to make this work for me. I think this is priced fairly. I like the way my skin feels after using this. I would definitely try more cleansers from Lush.
For years and years I had been buying supermarket cleansers with no results. One day I was fed up with not understanding what actually was in the products I use and decided that if I was going to spend $15 at a supermarket, whats an extra $4-5 to try something at lush. Unusual for me, I bought this product not knowing anyone who had used it before and as such had no recommendations for it. But the staff at Lush suggested it for my skin type (somedays dry, some days oily, reasonably sensitive) and low and behold I have found the PERFECT cleanser for me!
To start with, I LOVE the scent. It smells of tea tree and lavender (so if you are not a fan of these you probably wont like this product) - for me it is soothing and relaxing after a hard days work. Secondly, it is not a liquid cleanser (nor is it completely solid). So you need to pull a pea size amount from the container and mix with a little bit of water in your hand to form a paste. Thirdly, this cleanser has a wee bit of a scrub in it - not enough to irritate my skin but just enough to make it feel nice and clean and able to be used daily. It also doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight like I find some other brands do.
The main thing I love about this product is the fact that I have not had anything near a breakout since using this cleanser, when compared to normal supermarket brands. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and revitalised and somewhat glowing! I cannot recommend this product enough (especially for someone with similar skin to I - totally understand that some other people may not have the same results as we all have different skin)!
Tips: Go into Lush and ask for a sample to see whether this product is as suited to you as it was for me :)
This is my absolute favourite cleanser. I have combination skin where my t-zone gets oily, but all of my skin is dry and flaky and I also get a lot of acne. This cleanser not only cleanses your skin, but also lightly exfoliates and it smells lovely. It's super easy to apply, and comes in a simple black container. You don't need to use much and I find that it lasts me at least 3 months, however I only use it in the morning. I found that after using it for a few days my skin was softer, and after a week my acne was clearing up. I highly recommend this product and have recommended it to a lot of friends who also love it.
Tips: If you go into Lush, you can ask for a sample and they can also give you a free consultation so that you get the right cleanser for your skin type.
Since I no longer get acne and my skin has changed from an oil slick to dry and patchy with large pores and blackheads in my t-zone, I've been on the hunt for a cleanser that cleans my skin but doesn't dry it out or irritate it. This is it!
It's gentle enough that it doesn't cause my dry patches to flare up and become sensitive, yet cleans my skin beautifully, even around my nose and chin where my blackheads are the worst.
The texture is great and gently exfoliates my flaky skin, while the lavender absolute soothes - once I'm finished cleansing my skin is so smooth and happy!
The pottle is a decent size too (as a little goes a looong way) and I love the way you mix it with water in the palm of your hand to create a paste - so therapeutic! Plus it smells amazing and I feel so relaxed while I'm using it, such a treat :)
I would recommend this to anyone and everyone; it's so gentle and versatile! I've had a couple of friends who use it say that it's been great for their acne too. Such an effective cleanser that's awesome value for money, all natural AND cruelty free - couldn't ask for more! <3
Tips: Keep the lid on tight and put in a bathroom drawer or somewhere that the humidity of the shower can't turn the cleanser to goo! After applying to your face, scrub the leftovers into your hands to make them soft and lavendery too :)
Lush is such an amazing brand and this cleanser is my new favourite! Some one described this as playdough with twigs in it.. But it is so much more than that!! The fornula is creamy and smells like lavender. Ground almond is scattered throughout the cleanser and helps to gently cleanse the face. You only need a pea sized amount of product and then you mix it together in your hands with a bit of water to create a paste. I have normal to oily skin with the occasional breakout. I use this cleanser twice a day and it leaves my skin feeling smooth and well nourished. I love how soft my skin feels and I will definitely repurchase. I reccomend this to all my friends with normal to oily skin. I'm not sure how this would work if you had problematic skin but the staff at lush are great and would be able to give the right advice x
