This has to be the most amazing Lush cleanser ever. I have other favourites, but this is the best. It smells amazing, it feels amazing and leaves my skin looking amazing. I have super dry skin and this really does help put moisture back in instead of stripping it. When this comes out, I stock up because I hate when it finishes. Its hard to put my finger on a distinct smell, but it smells of Christmas spices. I love it so much and for the price and how long it lasts, its the ultimate product.

Tips: If you haven't experienced this before, you really need to try it xx
I bought this festive cleanser. Being a huge fan of the Lush fresh cleansing rolls. This one has a slight cranberry scent and is really gentle on your skin much like Angels on Bare Skin and the other Lush cleansers. I like to think of this one as the Christmas version of their fresh cleansers. Just like their fresh cleansers this will leave a bit of a mess on your sink from the bits of cranberries and seaweed and ground almonds but it's so worth it. Great for those who are slack on moisturizing as this leaves a bit of moisture on your skin. You only need a pinch so a tub will last you a long time. I have to say this is my fave Lush Christmas product that I've tried so far.
Tips: Like the other Lush cleansing rolls this will leave a bit of a mess over your sink so one way to avoid this is to take a small pinch with dry hands into the shower with you and mix the paste there. Don't store this in the shower as once water gets in it it's game over.
When I read the reviews for this product, I knew I had to get my hands on it. However, it seems I read the review too late and this product was sold out in stores and online, and I actually had to buy it from Australia (which costed an arm and a leg) just to try it out for myself. I know, I am a lushie!!
This product comes in the typical black lush tub, which has a screw off lid. (These black tubs are part of Lush’s recycling scheme so make sure you don’t throw them out).
This cleanser is probably one of my favourites from lush (that tied with the good time roll cleanser). When you twist off the lid, the smell of brandy fills the air. Yum. The cleanser is almost the colour of oatmeal and just from looking at it you can see the chunks of cranberries, and almond meal that make up a good portion of this product.
I use this product by pinching a bit out and rubbing it in the palm of my hand with some water. It apply to my face in a massage and then leave it on my face for awhile, almost like a mask. Before rinsing off I massage it into my skin some more.
The reason I love this mask because it smells good, and because the almond meal in the mixture leaves my skin gently and softly exfoliated so its soft enough to use on an everyday basis. When I wash this off my face, my skin literally feels amazing and smooth.
There are a few cons to this product. The first being the price, it is one of the more expensive items from Lush but it is worth the money. The second con is that it is messy, but I use mine in the shower to avoid my bathroom looking like a baking experiment gone wrong. If you can still get your hands on this I recommend you do
I received a generous sample of this from my lovely friend Pintsize. I had no idea she didn't like it but it explains why my 'sample' was so big ;-). It arrived and I couldn't stop touching the greyish gloop.
The smell of this was lovely and nutty. It had chunks of both almonds and cranberries, but I quite liked the lumps as it provided a slight exfoliation. The cranberries also seeped their lovely red color out slightly so it wasn't an entirely grey product.
This didn't bubble, not that I expected it to. It applied messily but it felt really nice, and my face felt gloriously clean and moisturized after I had used it, whereas my skin usually feels dry and tight. I really liked this stuff so I reckon I'd repurchase!
I bought this with no expectations then high expectations after reading more about it, first it was in my cart, then out then in and well once it arrived I was already underwhelmed. For the price, I was expecting a larger pot but it's only the next size up from the smallest tub, Ok I can live with that if it performs as well as I hoped. It smelled nothing like I was expecting... like a slightly stale almond was mixed in, it had a moderate piece of thin seaweed perched on top and the cranberries were huge!! It smells faintly of brandy but I really had to smell it a lot to pick that, and the seaweed doesn't smell... luckily.
I endeavored to use this until I loved it or it ran out... which ever came first (hoping for the love), but I am almost out and still find it just barely suitable for my skin. My skin does feel soft but it also has a slightly oily feel after rinsing.
It's not too rough given it is ground up nuts, the idea is to make a paste in your hand but I prefer to ball a bit up and wet my face, then smear it all around until it looks like I have a face mask of it on. It does have a lot of fallout so I recommend using it in the shower if possible.
I wished it had done more for my skin but I am about to stop using it in the eleventh hour as I can no longer take the blemishes that have re-emerged after finally getting on top of them previously (I still have about 1/3rd of the tub left and it is due to expire in the next couple of weeks).
I wished I had sampled this first before purchasing as I doubt I would have purchased it.
After reading fabulous reviews about this cleanser I had to give this a try. Lush is a well known vegan friendly brand that I have fallen head over heels in love with . So when I headed into Lush I chose to pick this sample up.
This came in a little black pot sturdy. I'm glad I got a sample of this before buying full sized. The texture of this cleanser is solid. I can see crushed grains and red bits of cranberry mixed into it. The scent of it smells like freshly ground almonds and cashews. I couldn't pick up on the brandy or spice which was disappointing. The scent of it is the selling point for me.
When I first tried it I mixed it with a bit of water to form a paste. I found it difficult to lather . It was falling everywhere. Very messy. This cleansed my skin okay . It really didn't feel like it was doing anything. Tried it for a few weeks no significant changes.
I had high hopes for this cleanser but unfortunately it didn't perform as well as I had hoped. It's priced higher that the normal cleansers at lush. I really don't think it's worth its price. I definately wouldn't buy it or reccomend it .
Unfortunately, I really really disliked this product. It smelt amazing but it just didn't live up to expectation.
The packaging is just the simple black pottle and the product itself is a lump of product wrapped in seaweed to keep it moist (Ew).
I found the product a bit to chunky, I wasn't sure what to expect from the product but I found even watering it down into a paste that it was still to chunky and went everywhere so just made a complete mess in my bathroom. It got to the point where I was using big chunks of it just to get rid of it. I also couldn't really use it with my clarisonic as the cleanser was a little to abrasive in conjunction with my mia and discoloured the brush.
I did really like the smell though and it really put me in the christmassy mood. However the smell wasn't enough to win me over and I would not repurchase.
I'm a bit of a lush addict and it's not often that I find a dud product but this really hit that mark big time for me. I'd heard such great things about it so I was determined to buy it. NZ didn't stock this, this year so I added it into a UK order that I was making.
This comes in a standard black lush pot. It has the best before date clearly printed, fyi these only have a shelf life of 3 months. I didn't realise that so didn't use it straight after buying it. I'd recommmend only buying these when you actually want to use it straight away and to not stock up in case it goes bad. I find lush products do last well after the date but I'd be a bit more wary of a product like this with quite fresh ingredients in it. A pot may sound like an odd way to have a cleanser but this is quite a solid product so you need to scoop some out to use it.
This looks interesting when you open the lid. It kind of looks like a cookie dough with the beige colour and lots of bits in it. It has a strong almond smell, I like the freshness of it.
This isn't as easy as a normal cleanser to use. It's also incredibly messy. I was using it at night for a little while but started just using it in the shower in the mornings instead. I wet my face and hands first and then get a small amount out. I use maybe a 10 cent piece. I then kind of work it into a paste so I can apply it to my face. IT doesn't really go into a proper paste though, it doesn't all stay together so it will fall everywhere. I do like how it feels on my face, it is like a gentle exfoliant and it doesn't dry out my already dry skin. My skin is breaking out pretty badly at the moment though, I can't really say this is the cause but I feel like it might be.
I would never repurchase this. I think it makes my skin feel nice but not nice enough to justify the mess and just annoying factor of using it. I much prefer just squeezing a tube and being done with it.
This was another gem I was so excited to try from Lush this festive season. I have tried the lush herbalism cleanser before and apart from the scent it felt darn good on my skin so I was hoping this one would tick all the boxes.
It comes in the standard Lush black pot, (don't forget to wash it out and take 5 empty pots back to get a free face mask!) when I took the lid off there was a big piece of seaweed sitting on top of the cleanser. I couldn't smell anything really when I took the lid off.
So I pinched a small amount off and that was when I got the rich scent, it reminds me of Brandy custard my grandma used to make for Christmas it is delish, with a big almond scent too. You can see small pieces of crushed up almonds throughout the cleanser. I put it in my palm and add a few drops of warm water to mix it to a paste, then rub it all round my face for a good minute or so, then rinsed off with a warm face cloth. I loved the scent and the feeling it gave when I was massaging it in I really didn't want to stop.
Once my face had dried my skin felt so soft, like it had been moisturised at the same time. It is such a treat for the skin. Will I buy again? Definitely, I will be stocking up on this beauty before Christmas ends.
