This cosmetic warrior face mask seem not like me. I love how it's smells but when I put on my face the small was different it's smells more like old egg. And the smells freak me out. After left this face mask for about 15min I wash my face and my face was feels smooth. I am not surprised i feel like it do the same as another face mask do. One day after use this I got pimples on my face and I think this mask is not me.

Tips: Try samples before buy and if you buy but it's not suit you bring back to lush and get your money back or change to another face mask.
My daughter has problem skin and it was looking really, REALLY bad. I was in LUSH checking out the Christmas arrivals and saw the masks and decided to have a little closer investigation. I chose this one because it looked like dip- and I like a good garlic dip and I was hungry! Quite a few of the masks were for breakouts so the 'dipness' was the clincher for why I chose this one, and I had a fleeting vision of my husband accidentally eating it!
Upon application I was surprised that it smells strongly of tea tree and not so much garlic - my senses must have been dulled in store by the many other smells happening in there but I swear it smelt more garlicky instore. I'm not a fan of the only lasting a couple of weeks business, but I guess it encourages you to use it up rather than hoard it away and its preservative free and natural- but I have to admit I'm not really fussed with all natural - I'm happy to use anything if it works! We both used the mask every second day for about a week and I'm very impressed. From the first application I noticed my daughters face in particular looked much clearer and less red. There was a few large, angry pimples which took a couple of goes to calm down but overall it's quite impressive. I think it even surprised her! My skin wasn't too bad to start with, I was only using the mask because it was a mother/daughter thing. My skin was immediately very soft and looked much less red around the cheeks. I will defiantly repurchase as it seems a mask that we can all use.
First off I have to say the smell is not as pleasant as the other Lush masks but its cleansing properties are amazing especially for acne prone skin. I have had acne from a very young age and have tried many masks and can say this is definitely in the top range. I love the tightening feeling and how clean my skin feels after. After going through 2 pots of this I can definitely say I can feel and see an improvement in my skin. With other masks I have tried I have seen very minimal change in my skin and for some I have even broken out in a rash and suffered from dry patches; however, this mask is definitely worth trying for acne treatment ;)
One of the reasons I love Lush is that everything smells sooooo good. This does not. This has to be one of the worst smelling cosmetic products ever. It doesn't just smell of garlic and tea tree. I got a distinct wiff of wet dog as well when I used it. Ewwwwwww......
BUT......it is worth it! I used this when my skin went through a couple of years of really angry, hormonal breakouts. Nothing else apart from this helped. I used it every few days until the pot was gone. My skin was less red and angry and my spots began to heal.
I would recommend this to anyone suffering from acne breakouts. I've even been known to recommend it to other shoppers in Lush - I really need to just get a job there lol!
I've been told time and time again this mask "smells of wet dog" but "it's seriously amazing if you can tolerate the smell" but honestly, to me it smells like a classic Kiwi icon - the onion dip. And once again I am left wanting chips and dip!
The mask comes in the 45g black pot and has an off white coloring to it. I can clearly see a few "bits" sticking out, but I'm not sure if it's bits of grape or garlic but they don't hinder me in the application in any way, so I'm not bothered.
The mask is quite thick, which is wonderful, but it's not so thick that I have to water it down to apply it - applied with wet fingers to a wet(ish) face, it glides on effortlessly. The off white color dries to an even lighter color, but then it almost looks like my skin if it weren't for the bits stuck to my face! It's not a super tight feeling, but I do enjoy it.
It rinses off like a dream, and my raging pimple I had on Tuesday is practically gone overnight. My skin is left feeling soft, supple, and best of all the pimples have reduced in size, and my skin is less red. Now I'm not saying everyone is going to smell the onion dip, but I don't think the smell is as bad as everyone says it is. Plus, for the results I saw within a night it could smell like a horde of wet dogs and I wouldn't mind ;-)
The Lush Cosmetic Warrior Fresh Face Mask works quite well for clearing troubled skin, reducing acne, and improving tone. I applied this mask after having a breakout/redness going on, and the next morning definitely found that those areas had calmed down a lot. Essentially that's what this mask seems to do best — calming the skin. It doesn't have the 'OMG smells so good' factor that Lush face masks are often known for, in fact the garlic smell is quite strong and might turn off some people. So definitely give this one the sniff test in store before buying. But if that doesn't bother you then this is a nice product which does seem to improve the skin!
Tips: You can grab this mask for free by bringing in five empty, black Lush pots! Then once this product is finished you can save the pot towards your next free mask :) Recycling + freebies!
When I went into lush, I took in my pots for a free mask. I looked this mask up on beauty review. Had a quick read of the reviews. I was looking for a mask that will give my skin a good cleanse.
Lush Face Masks come in black pots . Their pots are sturdy . Consistency this mask is like a paste. ts got a beige colour . It smells like a combination of wet dog with smelly onions.
I have this mask a try. It lathers on easily. I leave it on for about 30 minutes. It’s started to dry out. It comes off easily. It feels like a light cleanse.
After using it I didn’t see any dramatic changes in my skin tone. I can’t really see any changes appen other than a light cleanse.
I think lush masks could be cheaper because they don’t last as long as others do . Go in store to test it out. I can’t see myself buying this again.
Ok.. So i walked into lush one day, as i was curious why so many people despite the strong soap smell that i could smell from outside the door. Yip soap, soap, and more soap of all different kinds... oh wait! Then i was attracted by the fresh mask section. Different masks for different skin. The lady there recommended me this one as I had a few break outs during that time.. plus a few blackheads on my nose. She said it was good for cleansing and calming the skin as it contained garlic and tea tree oil.. which are natural antiseptics.
So as soon as I got home, i decided to try it out. When I opened the lid.. poof.. awe.... that musty smell surely is unique. I think i wont describe it here.. hahahaha. Anyways.. the mask had a pasty consistency... with very tiny pieces which looks like the garlic. It felt very cooling and soothing on the skin. As the mask dried, I felt my skin tightening up a bit. After 10 minutes when i washed it off, my face looked a little brighter, felt cleaner, more relaxed, and smoother. I was happy with the result.
So apart from the unusual smell... the fresh mask does tend to get a bit watery... so i had to tip out the water a couple of times.
I do find the fresh mask interesting.. it does tend to tighten the pores.. and smooth the skin. The good thing about these is that they are made with natural ingredients, so i am willing to give other masks a go in the future.
I used this mask during a time where my skin was going through a really acne-prone phase. It definitely took care of excess oil and dried out any pimples or spots, but after a couple of uses I realised it was probably too harsh for my skin. Also the smell is horrible and stunk up my fridge, even when I sealed it as tight as possible. I also didn't like that it didn't last very long, especially for the price. Overall, I might recommend it as a novelty thing to try, but in terms of skincare products that really help and make a difference, it's a no from me.
I have a love hate relationship with this mask. It looks like something a baby threw up and smells disgusting (a mix of garlic, tea tree oil and egg is not appealing to me) but, if you have tried everything to calm a break out and nothing is working Cosmetic Warriror won't let you down.
It feels lumpy when applied on my skin because of the grapes and the smell is unpleasant but tolerable. I was concerned about the garlic soaking into my skin but, as soon as I wash the mask off all odours are gone. Cosmetic warrior leaft my face feeling soft and clean immediately after use. The more regularly I used it (almost everyday during a bad breakout) the better the results I saw in my skin recovering.
The price is steep for the amount of product you get but the results are worth it.
Tips: Other Lush products which really helped calm down my skin and got me through breakouts are Mask of Magnaniminty and Cupcake.
