After talking about Lush and baths with some fellow beauty lovers I decided a rather fancied trying a lavender bath. So naturally I looked to see what Lush had to offer.
Lush's French Kiss Bubble Bar is lavender, rosemary and thyme scented. Personally I think a pure lavender bubble bar would have been even better but each to their own. For me the rosemary and thyme were just extra scents that muddled the relaxing aroma that comes with lavender.
To look at the bubble bar is purple and white with a sprig of lavender on it. It looks cute, romantic and I think would make a great gift.
In the bath, it makes the water a pale lavender colour and mostly smells of lavender but mixed in with a bit of rosemary and thyme which the later two remind me more of food smells. The bubbles were plentiful and as always I used spa bath jets to get the most out of the bubbles.
I bought the older version of this in the Christmas sale as it was half price and I hadn't tried it yet. The purple and white swirled together and really caught my attention, and reminded me of the colors of the Twilight bomb.
The bomb is 100g in size and it is on the small side, but I got several baths out of it as I have a small tub and I'm not that fond of bubbles to begin with. It crumbled quite easily and I put it in my sieve ready for the water to cascade over it.
Oh my. The smells that came off of it! I smelled nothing but lavender fields and I was in heaven. It claims to have rosemary but I didn't particularly find this scent very strong - in fact I barely noticed it. If I hadn't looked up the size I wouldn't have even known it was in there!
The bomb bubbled fairly well, but as I didn't use a lot, nor do I really like bubbles, this isn't an overly big deal for me. The coloring of the bubble bar changed the color of the water slightly, to a creamy light purple.
This is a gorgeous bomb and I am definitely going to buy a few more!
