I love the Lush range of soaps and the fact that they make using soap a fun experience. The Honey I Washed the Kids soap lasted a good amount of time (almost 2 months) and it held its shape well until right near the end. It lathered well and while it wasn't super creamy, it didn't dry my skin out. Like with almost any soap/body wash I did use moisturiser afterwards though.
Unfortunately, I'm just not a fan of the scent. It's the same as the Gold Fun from Lush, and while it's a bit more toned down in the soap version, I just find it too strong. Maybe it does smell like toffee, but to me it's a really artificial toffee that I don't find pleasant - when I think of the scent I think of fakeness and chemicals, which is the opposite of what Lush products generally are! I had high expectations for this one after seeing it described as 'like washing with creme brulee in solid form', but unfortunately it failed to impress me. Since one of the key reasons for using Lush products is for the yummy scents, I'd definitely skip over this one next time I'm looking for soaps - since they have such a wide range that seem to perform similarly, in future I'd go with a scent I love.
This seemed to be a really popular soap so it was on my list to try. It has a honey with a hint of caramel like scent and lathers really well. I did enjoy showering with this soap although I can't use it everyday since I have sensitive skin and this soap has sodium lauryl sulfate. Despite that it does have some other good natural ingredients in it like rapeseed oil, coconut oil, glycerine, honey aloe vera extract and gardenia extract. I'm not exactly sure what gives this soap it's scent but it does have perfume so unfortunately this scent isn't just purely from the honey and sweet wild orange oil and bergamot oil. This soap lathers up nicely thanks to the SLS but because of that my skin is a bit dry as a result after I shower. That being said most sulfate loaded soaps dry out my skin but this is one the less drying side of the sulfate loaded bars. I do enjoy using this but I'm not sure if I'll get this again just because of the sulfate.
Tips: If you don't mind sulfates this is a nice choice for a Lush soap but if you do have sensitive skin save it for use every few days.
