I don't have kids, you see :P
This is one of my original Lush faves and it's still going strong - I went and purchased a piece of this a couple weeks ago as I'd been thinking about it :) I also got the matching shampoo bar which I love and will review once it's loaded!
The Lush Honey I washed the Kids soap, like all their soaps, comes in huge wheels that they cut up into pieces. it's priced by weight, so you can buy as much or as little as you want to. They weigh and wrap it for you at the counter.
The soap is super cute, in a milky coffee kind of colour with a hard layer of 'honeycomb' on top of a layer that looks like honey on top of the soap. This hard layer can be a little rough on your hands at first, so go carefully.
The soap lathers into a creamy foam and isn't drying, stripping or harsh. it gently cleanses skin and washes away cleanly, leaving traces of the scent behind.
The scent is glorious. It's a soft, sweet, mouthwateringly good honey scent that is warm, rich and decadent. It's subtle enough to be used on small people if you have some living at your house, and doesn't clash with perfumes etc.
One of their best products in my opinion - if you're in Lush, treat yourself to some!
I bought the Honey I washed my hair solid shampoo and shower gel so it only seemed right that I complete the set and get the soap. I am so glad I did too. I am a sweet scent loving girl so of course when I see the name honey I am all in with no regrets. I love the scent of the Honey I washed the kids soap. It sticks to the name of smelling just like honey but with an almost caramel undertone to it which drives my senses nuts! I bought a biggish offcut of this soap because I knew I would just fall in love with it. $11.34 later and I had this baby join my Lush honey crew.
It's a light caramel colour and has the rustic look I love about the lush soaps. It's never an even shape, just a cut off the big block and that's the way I like it. I really only use this soap in the bath because I find that it tends to melt away far too fast in the stream of the shower. Also I find that leaving it in the shower creates a slimy build up on the soap if I don't wash it off the block every day. I have found that even though I am obsessed with this soap and using it on my skin, it tends to dry my skin out a bit so am left having to moisturize big time after every use. I am ok with this because the honey/caramel scent is on my skin for hours afterwards. I always have to have a chunk on hand because it really grabs you and won't let you go. It's really that scrummy.
Tips: Don't leave it in the shower for too long without use. It develops a slimy soapy buildup that is unpleasant.
