Lush Lip Scrub Review

I recently purchased this again from a Lush store for $12.50 in the flavour/scent Mint Julep. I would really advise going to a store if you haven't used Lush products before. The staff are always incredibly helpful and are more than happy to wander around the store with you to give you advice on what you might like best.

This comes in a small glass pot with a black plastic lid. It is great that it has on the side a wee sticker of who made it when, and also when it will expire. I have always found that I always seem to have a LOT of product left when it expires, but I usually through it out on time anyway as this is an edible product made out of sugar.

I find the product itself works really well. You put a bit of this on your finger and rub into your lips and then lick or wipe off. It is great at getting any rough bits off your lips. It also leaves a bit of an oily (not in a bad way) residue which feels very moisturising. I love the taste of this one myself as it is minty but not in a toothpaste sort of way.

I have had this product a few times before and really see this as an 'extra'. This is not a must have for me, but it certainly is something that is nice to have. It is also good to note that you can make something like this yourself at home if you wanted to.

Wow, blown away! The Lip Scrub smells amazing. It comes in a small glass 25g tub but will last and last. It is easy to open and apply.

The first layer is hard but after a few days making a dent, the sugary goodness is easier to access.

You only need an index finger worth for your lips. Simply apply the sugar scrub to your lips, rubbing the scrub in (you choose how much pressure to apply). Then either lick off your lips or wipe away.

The Lip scrub is a sugar/salt/butter taste.

Your lips feel very soft and smooth after.

So after reading everyone's amazing reviews about this amazing stuff I thought it was about time I brought some and I am not disappointed.

It comes in a wee 25g glass jar. I love how on the jar it has a sticker on it to say who made it and when and the best before date I think this is neat! So I opened the lid and straight away got hit by the most amazing bubblegum/lolly smell it is yummo I just wanted to eat it. I found it quite hard to get enough out of the jar and I hate putting my fingers in jars but oh well.

So I scrubbed this all over my poor dry chapped lips it felt so good just buffing away! Then once finished it says on the back of the jar to just lick your lips clean... Don't mind if I do!! It tastes as good as it smells. Afterwards I just applied lip balm my lips felt and looked so smooth even the other half commented on them! I think this is a must have for every girls beauty collection. Absolutely love love love it!

LOVE this product great for when you have a build up on a lip stain you want gone and when you have damaged lips, I find this helps heal and protect my lips much better than just lip balms etc alone, got to love the tingle it leaves after using it as well….. plus it's eatable so not a problem if you get it in your mouth you won't have any nasty after taste!! BONUS!!

I recently got the bubblegum scrub from lush and LOVE it. It does what it is mean to and the smell is divine. It's all natural so if you get some in your mouth well that's ok too haha. You only need a small amount so will last a good amount of time too :) Leaves lips baby soft!

What better way to prepare and exfoliate your lips than coating them with sugary, candy-scented goodness? To be honest, I can’t really think of any- scrubbing your lips with a flannel or old toothbrush is nowhere near as glamorous (or delicious).

LUSH’s bubblegum lip scrub is a cute product, but a product that I consider to be a beauty ‘treat’ as opposed to an essential item. I bought this product because it was in one of their giftpacks that went half price after Christmas. I do not consider exfoliating my lips with sugar to be a staple in my beauty routine-it’s definitely one of those ‘nice-to-have’, but ‘can-live-withou’ items.

But boy, does this little gem satiate a sweet tooth. It tastes and smells like their hugely popular (LUSH were once quoted saying that if they didn’t bring out ‘Snow Fairy’ every year “there would be street riots”) limited edition ‘Snow Fairy’ shower gel.

The scrub is pink, comes in a 25g glass tub and will last you a decent amount of time. My only criticism is that this product us a little crumbly and should have more of the jojoba oil so that the sugar sticks together a bit more, because when you scoop a bit out quite a bit falls off your finger. I put mine on, and rinse off lightly, then mange (that’s the French word for eat) the rest. Or I just mange it all if I fancy it. Lips are left smooth, supple and moisturized- ready for lip balm and your lip colour.

Great for someone who gets flaky lips, or someone who loves to wear unforgiving lipcolours or textures (Retro Matte lippies anyone?).

Bottom line: This is a very sweet (!) product at a good price point. Grab one next time you’re at LUSH and in need of a treat.

I received the peppermint lip scrub for christmas one year and absolutely loved it. Since I liked it so much I also went out to buy this bubblegum lip scrub to! I love that the lip scrub is natural - I love supporting natural and organic products and it works best with my sensitive skin. This product smells delicious, and what's even better is that it taste yum to! This makes your lips super soft and none of it goes to waist as you simply lick the rest off your lips. I personally have a really bad sweet tooth so I found using this product prevented me from needing sugar as it has a sugar base.

I love this product so much! I used some of my friends a while back and it made my lips feel zingy and tingly as well as having a lovely scent of mint which my friends sometimes like to eat! definitely use this product again and it is worth investing in!

This stuff is magic for dry lips. I like that it is all natural and has a nice bubblegum flavour. This pink little pottle of goodness is super cute and I think every girl needs one of these. Great to use before applying lippy to make sure lips are nice and smooth and the lipstick looks as nice as possible. It isn't super expensive and lasts a long time as you only use a small amount at a time so a must have in my books. Would recommend to all and will repurchase in the future.

I rushed out to purchase this as I really needed on and in particular this one looked great. The product does exactly what it says it will by removing all the nasty skin and leaving your lips soft and smooth before lipstick application, the perfect formula is brought down by its taste and smell, I own the bubble-gum one and find it far too sweet. Although I love the product and would probably repurchase but in a different flavour.
