Lush Lip Scrub Review

I have the bubblegum lip scrub which is very delicious smelling and tastes pretty good too. It is a bright pink sugar scrub and is essentially made up of castor sugar, bubblegum flavouring and pink food colouring (so it is harmless to eat but not of any nutritional value). Nut I love that it is ediable unlike most lip products we ingest.

As a lip scrub I didn't find it the best. I found that skin started flaking off my lips after using it which made them look worse than they did prior to using the scrub.

I also loved the eco-friendly packaging of the scrub. I'm definitely more likely to buy a product if it has eco-friendly packaging.

All in all an interesting experience.

I got convinced into buying one of these at Lush, and I love it but I just don't think it's worth it for the price. They are just unnecessary!

These come in a small glass jar, which is packed with the scrub. There are a few flavors to choose from, I chose bubble gum because it smelt delicious just like a candy store!

Using these is quite messy though, you need to be standing over a sink and I find a lot of product ends up in the sink.

These work very well and are perfect to get rid of any dry flakes on my lips and great to prep before lipstick, but the price is ridiculous! Personally, I wouldn't buy this again because I find a toothbrush works just the same for lip exfoliation and isn't even half the price.

I purcahsed the bubblegum flavour, it comes in a cute little jar which is really handy to keep in your handbag in a side compartment. My first impression was it was a bit dry & hard to apply, as it seems to go everywhere! Smells delicious but doesn't taste the same. It was great at exfoliating my lips, however the product is just super messy. Will I repurchase? Possibly in time. Didn't love it, didn't hate it

I purchased this on trademe a few months ago, I was looking for snow fairy shower gel and someone was selling it with this so I thought, yay what a great new product to try as I'd never tried a lip scrub before. It smells gorgeous, very sweet and it is a nice bright pink and I love anything pink so it won me there. It is a little messy to apply, I dab my finger in and always end up dropping a bit on the floor. I then gently rub over my lips (note the word gently! the first time I used it, I went way overboard and it hurt my lips!). After scrubbing you can either lick it off (It tastes good) or wipe it off. It does give my lips a nice smooth surface. Perfect I think if you are wanting to wear a very bright lipstick. I also apply lip balm straight away. Overall, I think it's a cute little product but it is messy so for that reason I probably wouldn't go out and buy it again specifically. I have another lip exfoliator in a lipstick form and it is much more user friendly.

It looks good, it tastes good and it does a good job, but only temporarily. I loved this product when I first got it, but after about a month it went off and that too me is a little annoying. If it lasted a couple of months I would purchase this again but a month for me is just not long enough.

When buying the lip scrub, I thought that it would be amazing or something that would fully make it worth while I spend $12.50.. However, over using it for a few days I didn't find it was all cracked out that everyone had made it. I would definitely not spend that much on a lip scrub again.

i am obsess for lush product. i was in the store looking for lip balm.that time i saw bubblegum lip scrub and could stop myself not to bought it. but i did. when i used it at home first of all i really like the bubblegum taste. its yummy and messy everywhere(i should use it in shower). after use my lips feel smooth and great. comes in nice small jar which is i like it.good product. but then after i thought its just flavour and sugar.i wouldn't purchase it again. i'll make my own sugar and honey how about this on.

I had high hopes for this after hearing so many good things, but after purchasing it in the boxing day sale I find it just sits on my shelf.

I find it too gritty, borderline sore on my lips. The formula is really dry so it crumbles and is hard to apply.

It does smell and taste great but I just find it a pain to use out of the pottle. I would prefer a tube style product.
