I really like the packaging of this. It comes in a screw top plastic container which is great at keeping the water out. It's bright blue and just looking at it makes you happy. It smells very fresh and is quite tropical and fruity, which is kind of different for a salt scrub. I used it dry where you rub it onto the dry body and wash it off and this gave me a much better exfoliation and made me feel very clean. I have also used it wet and it works almost as a normal shower gel with a tiny bit of exfoliation. Therefore, I do switch it up and will use it dry 1-2 times a week. It is very soluble so washes away easily and doesn't leave the shower difficult to clean but I did find that scooping it out of the tub was quite messy and often lead to a lot of wasted product. I did find that I had to use quite a bit to cover my whole body as it often melted before I could get to scrubbing. Also, I personally like more exfoliation and this did leave a bit of a residue so I probably won't repurchase. It is great for a gentle everyday scrub though.

Tips: Use dry for a harsher exfoliation and then wash it off.
I received a small tub of this in a Christmas gift pack and it was well received because I love scrubs, body scrubs, face scrubs, hand scrubs, foot scrubs. Yip if it is any kind of scrub you can bet I'll be all over it. There is something so satisfying about scrubbing away all your dead skin to reveal soft and glowing skin.
This comes in the standard black Lush pot that I have grown to love. They are durable, convenient and recyclable so can be exchanged for a fresh face mask when you return 5 empty pots.
I unscrew the lid and notice the deep blue colour, it kind of reminds me of the "dirty" soap the colour and the scent. It's a lemony/manly kind of scent it's nice for a change from the normally girly fruity scents that I use.
I scoop out a small amount from the pot and notice how it's a rather thin consistency, you have to be careful not to lose half of it on the floor like I almost did the first time I used it. And the salt granules feel more like sugar.
After scrubbing this over my body my skin feels soft and nice but not like I've given it a really good scrub it's more of a gentle scrub. The scent doesn't last long on my skin either once I'm done. While it's nice I probably won't repurchase as I love thicker rougher scrubs.
Smell is refreshing and amazing. Kind of minty and musky. Definitely wakes you up. Skin feels soft and good after using it. Probably wouldn't use it again but would recommend if u want something for softening skin.
Tips: I used it in my hair as it said u could on the container made it soft as and gave more body not that I needed it.
I bought this item from LUSH hoping it'd help make my skin softer, and I was so pleased to find that it does! Although the smell was a bit overpowering mixed into the steam of the shower, I got used to it. You end up using a fairly good sized scoop of it to do the whole body so it doesn't last more than perhaps 20 at the most uses? Which is pretty good considering it's price. It's one of the more afforable items at LUSH that'll get you towards your return 5 pots and get a mask free. It self-preserves and so it in reality can last for a long time which is great as I use a variety of shower washes and alternate each time. Over all this is great value for money and softens your skin and leaves a nice scent afterwards.
Tips: Ask to try a bit in store if you are a little unsure of it.
I was a little surprised by the scent - maybe a bit manly with a bit of air freshener scent. I didn't think the scrub was very thick at alll, it's more a gel. The scrub definitely made my skin feel silky smooth and soft which is what you want from a scrub. I didn't use it in my hair. I applied it to dry skin, rubbed and scrubbed and then rinsed off in the shower. The salt was quite fine and plentiful so it worked well scrubbing my body without scratching. Overall it's a nice unisex scrub, not overly feminine smelling but still has great results.
Tips: Definitely apply inside the shower cubicle - otherwise you end up with bits all over the bathroom floor.
I got this product as a part of a Lush gift box. I am still not sure what I really think of it. It smells nice: fresh, summer-y and clean. And it is great for exfoliating your skin.
I wasn't so fond of how liquid-y it was - it made it quite difficult and messy to use in the shower. The main reason for not rating this product higher is that there are other Lush products that I find do the same job better/work better on my skin.
Tips: Ask for a sample next time you are in Lush - best to try before you buy.
I got a small pot of this in a gift pack that I received for Christmas last year. I was really excited to use this as I haven't used a body scrub from Lush before. My first impression was that it smells amazing. It's an awesome blue colour and is a nice thick scrub. When using it the scrub is quite granular when you begin but as you scrub, scrub, scrub the salt dissolves and it turns quite soapy. Aside from this it works really well and leaves my skin feeling soft and lovely. The only downside of this product is if I leave it on my skin for too long, about slightly longer than it takes to scrub and then wash off the area straight away it stings me like crazy and I have to wash it off straight away. This means I can't turn the shower off and do my whole body bit by bit I have to wash it off as I go. This makes it a not so nice experience as the stinging is not fun and I worry the whole time that it's going to start hurting at any moment. I will use up the pot of this product that I have but to be honest wouldn't repurchase it. I love Lush so it's unusual for me to not love a product but I guess you can't love every product from a brand you love overall.
Tips: If it starts stinging wash it off ASAP!
So because it says sea salt I always think of the ocean and so I can smell the ocean. Which is very calming and relaxing. This makes your skin so soft. When I first used it I thought that it was just going to be another one of those exfoliating things for your body that are all natural. It is, but it actually works that is the great thing about it. You put it on your hand, all you can think is what the heck is this why is it so salty and lumpy then you rub it in and giggle because it feels funny then wash it off, you go and dry yourself and then you smell good and you are as a soft as a babies bum.
Tips: More is better. I only had a little tub of this and I thought I don't want to waste this. After using small amounts the difference wasnt that noticeable so I put lots on and that is when I noticed the difference.
the smell is the only thing that puts me off, it smell exactly like the hand sanitizer you get in the portaloos, not a fan but it works, i use this on my legs and feet and it makes my skin feel heavenly!
Tips: perfect to use before or after you shave to give your legs a bit of a zhouz up
Firstly, the bright blue colour really attracted me to this product. I also like the refreshing scent that this product gives off. When the product is used on dry skin, it does feel gritty. But when I mixed the scrub with a small amount of water before applying it on my skin, it doesn't feel as rough. After using it, my skin does feel clean and smoother but I wouldn't describe it as extra smooth/soft. Overall, I thought it was a decent scrub. I didn't try it out as a shampoo as I didn't like I would like the rough feeling on my scalp. However, the application of it does get messy even in the shower as it can get quite slippery and one tub doesn't last long as I felt a decent amount is needed to have a proper exfoliation.
Tips: Wet the product slightly before applying it on dry skin.
