Lush Shower Jelly Sweetie Pie

The scent of this shower jelly is so addictive! Loved the smell and the idea of this product is fun, however, I didn't find this product to be very practical; after several uses it cracked and fell to pieces (definitely still able to be used though). I kept using it for about a month so it definitely lasts a while. I'm not going to re-purchase but would still be stoked if I was gifted it - basically a good product but I would prefer spending my money on something else next time :)

This was a product from Lush I got as part of a gift set, however before that, this used to be the product I made a beeline for whenever I was in a Lush store. In Lush stores this product tends to be tipped out onto a plate for display and its holds it shape perfectly. But that’s not the reason I use to make a beeline for it. The reason is its just so fun to play with. It’s a jelly in consistency, but a jelly that holds it shape and doesn’t slip through your fingers so it’s a bit more rubbery than they type of jelly you eat, but it still has an amazing wobble, so I think it is pretty clear why this was a attraction at the lush store for myself.

First impressions of this product? Well like I said it’s comes in a jelly form, but its more rubbery than the typical edible jelly. It’s a dark beautiful purple and has small glitter flecks throughout the jelly which just makes this product extra fun. Apart from the fun, the other most enticing aspect of this product is the smell. Oh wow, words can honestly not describe how amazing this product smells. It’s sweet, but not sickly, and has a beautiful smell of candy but in reality the fragrance is meant to be cherry. The smell actually reminds me of a tub of goody goody gum drops and we all know how delicious that smells.

Anyway, I’m glad I got this product in a gift set because it was an item on my wish list, but I really didn’t have high hopes for it simply because it comes in a 100g container, and I thought realistically how long will 100g of jelly last me? The majority of it will just get washed down the drain.. And so I put off using this. However, the day finally came when I decided I need to try this so to use this, I pull a piece of the jelly away, and rub it all over my body like I would a bar of soap. The jelly lathers slightly but not as much as a body gel, and a small amount of jelly actual lasts a long time. I mean long enough to clean all my skin so this product doesn’t just get washed down the drain as I initially thought.

This product describes itself as a mix of a bar of soap and a shower gel, and I have to admit this description confused me. I suppose the consistency reflects that as it is half solid like soap, but half soft like body wash maybe? Other than that I don’t really see a comparison.

Overall, I’m really impressed with this product. It smells amazing, lasts quite a long time and I find the smell of this actually lingers on my skin after my shower so that’s another bonus. It also didn’t dry my skin out at all, and leaves tiny little flecks of glitter over my skin which just looks lovely. I would use this again, and honestly would recommend this to my friends.

This product smells so good! when i used this for the first time i used it in the morning, went to work and came home and the smelt still lingered! My partner came up to me and said wow u small nice.. it always feels good when i guy cmes up to you and notices the smell!

The product made my skin so soft and it felt like it looked after my skin!

Only problem is that its so hard to get out!

This stuff... THIS STUFF is cool. It makes me feel like a child all over again I find that with some Lush products they bring out the inner child in you or make child like things acceptable for a "grown up" and this is one of them. I love it I love funky things like this it's just pure fun. When this arrived (ordered online) everyone had to have a touch, smell, wobble of it everyone was intrigued.

Anyway this funky dark purple jelly can be used so many different ways you can put it in the fridge or freezer or just leave it in your bathroom. You can take chunks off it or leave it whole. The choice is yours.. I have been just leaving it on my beauty shelf and take a chunk off every time I use it. I now also have to take a chunk off for my daughters (3 & 1) because they both love it and love washing themselves with it and if it's going to make them want to wash themselves then I'm all for it.

Apart from the funky jelly texture it also has an equally fun scent to it. Very much like the lollies fruit jubes and black current it has a gold shimmer through it which adds to the fun. It only lathers up slightly but I do only break off little chunks, they are slightly awkward to hold and they get all slippery. You don't actually need to break off much at a time because it does seem to go a long way

the scent it leaves on your skin for hours after is amazing I have noticed my skin still smelling like lollies for 5 hours after I have used it. I will be buying this again for sure.

So I got this in a gift pack for a birthday pressie. Thought it was cute, smelt amazing and sparkled! Yup jelly like consistency with SPARKLES! Felt like a little kid again!:) so far so good. Now I came to using it I was a little confused. How do I get it out, how do I keep it in my hand so I can use it. But so good once you get a hang of it and so versatile!!! You can even use it in your hair!

Wow I'm pleasantly surprised how nice this smells. I usually don't like the smell of cherry but a few months I decided to give it a go and I'm so happy I did . It was quite hard to use at first as it is like jelly and would slip out of my hands . But it leaves your skin so soft and smelling great. I would recommend this to anyone and I will defiantly be buying this product again sometime in the near future . The only annoying thing was that when i had long nails it would puncture the shower jelly and it started falling apart

I only buy this shower jelly as a special treat because it is a bit expensive. But it is a great treat because it smells so delicious (like sweet fruit candy) - the description is right, it is hard to resist a wee nibble.

The smell and the wee glitter flecks make me so happy when I am in the shower that it almost takes away the pain of having to get up early and go to work.

I use it like a body wash (I haven't tried it in my hair) by taking a small amount and rubbing it on my shower puff. It is very slippery so you would probably lose it if you only used in it your hands. It does a great clean, keeps my skin smooth, and the smell lingers throughout the day.

Lush's sweetie pie shower jelly is a perfect gift for a child/teen.This jelly smells great and it stays on your skin for quite some time after you shower. Its sparkly, fun and playful. Its a very stiff jelly and once you have a good sized piece you can rub it straight onto your skin or massage it into a shower puff. It does lather up nicely. Another reason it is great for your child/teen is its natural, you have got to wonder sometimes what some of those other child marketed body washes contain. I personally wouldn't purchase again but only because I just cant be bothered with it. Its slippery and clumbsy to use and a busy mums shower time is precious, no time to be fumbling over slippery jelly.

I love Lush, mainly because absolutely everything they sell has such a unique and beautiful smell. The Sweetie Pie shower jelly smells good enough to eat. Not only that but I loved how the smell sticks to your skin long after you get out the shower. The only thing I didn't like about this product was the fact that after a while it begins to break up and after that it's really difficult to use :/ other than that I did love the product and despite the problems I faced would use it again!
