Lush Shower jellies are crazy, but I adore them, especially this one. I've bought and re-bought it over the years, given it to people (especially beauty mad friends, or younger girls who are desperate for grown up gifts!) and everyone loves it.
The scent is soft and sweet and fruity, but not OTT. There is a touch of glitter which can transfer to skin sometimes, and can hang around on the shower floor. The scent, like all Lush products, lingers in the bathroom and on your skin.
The product itself is dispensed in 'jelly chunks' and can be kept in the fridge to chill it for the summer (gorgeously refreshing) or the bathroom. It can be used in one whole piece and rubbed on to the skin, or by tearing off small chunks and then rubbing those on to the skin. The 'rip off pieces' method does cause it to disappear a bit faster - although I tear off super tiny pieces then use them with a pouf, which helps.
It's not the cheapest shower gel, sure, but is a relatively inexpensive treat, gift or indulgence :)
Now if you are trying to save on your household water usage, be warned and don’t buy one of these, as you will be spending hours in the shower playing with this stuff, rather than getting any washing done!
It is a bit pricy yes, especially for the amount that you are getting, but is a delight! It smells gorgeous, and is actually one of my favourite scents from lush! It smells really sweet, like raspberries and Ribena drink! I also love the little pieces of glitter you can see floating around! The smell also lasts a really really long time on the skin which is as always a bonus!
I didn’t really realise how versatile it was until I went in to buy some. The lovely lady told me that I could tear of a chunk and use it many times, or use the whole thing in one go, if I got crazy haha, she also said that it also works like a bubble bar, in that you can hold it under running bath water and create giant bubbles!
It lathers on really well, and like all lush products, foams up greatly! We love foam!! It has a lot of gelatine in it and holds it’s shape very well, but careful, because if you drop it, it doesn’t really work in your favour with the running shower on, and it slimy around and you trying to catch it and pick it up again.
My only tiny complaint is that, when you do tear it and use it, it just turns into jelly mush, as isn’t pleasant and actually looks really kind of gross. Also make sure you drain out that excess water so it doesnt turn into a slushy!
I love buying this for my little cousins! They love playing with it, even when they’re not taking a shower! It would make a great little stocking filler.
Tips: I love to freeze this for an hour or so until it turns into slushy foam and take it in to the shower on a hot summers day, it cools you down instantly, and I love the sensation of it!!
