Ah snow fairy how much I love your sweet candy scent! I have a rather big sweet tooth so anything that is sweet and strongly scented I has me.
This comes in the standard Lush black tub. I love these black tubs they are practical and stand out.
I unscrew the lid and that sweet scent hits me although it is not as strong as the shower gel. I has a small amount of glitter on the top of the body conditioner.
After I have finished washing I apply probably 2 tablespoons of this to my body and rub it in. I notice it does feel quite greasy on my skin and not at all nice almost like it is sitting on my skin. Once I rinse it off though it isn’t as greasy. Once I am finished rinsing it all off I pat dry my skin so I don’t wipe off all of the body conditioner.
Once I have finished patting my skin dry I notice my skin looks slightly moisturised but I feel like it is still sitting on my skin and did feel quite greasy still. I also feel like my skin still needs more moisture, probably because i have dry skin. I notice the snow fairy scent isn’t as strong when I’m all dried compared to the shower gel, but if you team the two together it is heavenly sweet and strong.
I am a huge fan of body conditioners as I am a huge sook and hate putting on cold moisturiser after a warm shower. I have tried many different brands over the years and this would be one of my least favourite brands- Sorry Lush because I really do love you.
Lush Snow Fairy Body Condition was one of the products in the Lush "Snow Fairy" box that I was given for Christmas.
Now, being a Lush "newbie", I had no idea what Snow Fairy Body Conditioner was. I assumed that it was a body butter or body lotion, but boy, was I wrong! Thankfully, I read the instructions on the label before I used it, as it needs to be used in-shower and then rinsed off.
After the sickly sweet experience of Snow Fairy Shower Gel, I wasn't expecting too much with this product, which was just as well. The Snow Fairy Body Conditioner has a consistency of a thick lotion, or a thin cream, and is pink in colour with a hint of shimmer on top. It's easy to spread and massage over the skin before rinsing off.
It did moisturise my skin a little, but as it's winter, I still felt the need to use a body butter afterwards, as my skin didn't feel as hydrated or moisturised as it would have if I'd used a body lotion or body butter.
Sadly, so far, my Lush experience has not really been a good one. I'm not blown away by their Snow Fairy products and they're not all that cheap either. I definitely won't be purchasing any more Snow Fairy Body Conditioner, I think I'll stick to using my usual body butter.
Tips: I ended up using this as a dual-purpose product. It works well as a shaving cream replacement and it moisturises at the same time.
