I am a huge Lush fan and received Sugar Scrub as part of a gift set at Christmas time. The product is a half dome and comes in a protective plastic shell with a peel off lid- I really wish this lid could be replaced as if the scrub gets left wet it completely dissolves! I had trouble getting the scrub out of its plastic casing as well which was frustrating, It is a beautiful green colour and smell refreshing andspring like with fennel and ginger. Sadly, that's where my appreciation for this scrub ends. It is soooo harsh. As in, it left visible scratches on my skin! I broke some off and mixed it with some water to try and see if I could make it softer to use but no luck- my skin was still left raw and sore for ages after.

Lush Sugar Scrub Review
Lush Sugar Scrub Review
Our solid Sugar Scrub is tough on cellulite and unwanted bumps, but kind on your skin. It’s no nonsense attitude doesn’t waste any time getting down to business; sweetly exfoliating with Fair Trade sugar and stimulating circulation with fennel and ginger. It’s not all rough stuff though; calming lavender has a balancing effect and encourages healthier skin. Get yourself wet in the bath or shower (but don’t let the bar get under the running water). Scrub, scrub, scrub and rinse away! You’ll be left with smoother, cleaner and radiant skin. Water you waiting for? Get scrubbing!

Unfortunately I didnt like this soap, Im such a big fan of the Lush range of soaps, I think they're very imaginative and are well thought up.
I do like exfoliate soaps I think they feel great on skin and leave a good soft delicate smooth texture on your skin. This one is really harsh on my skin and is quite rough.
Wouldnt recommend to sensitive dry skin types
I rarely find LUSH products that does not work for me but this is one of them.
I was very excited and keen to try this sugar scrub out, and as soon as I got home I gave it ago in the shower.
It was abit crumbly but it is sugar so it was expected. But what I did not expect was how harsh and rough it was on the skin. I only did my arms and then gave up . I was thinking maybe I was putting to much pressure on so I was going to try it again next time I had a shower.
But to my disappointment, the whole thing had melted by the next day. Even tho I had left it to dry, I had green sugar water left. Not cool at all.
If there was a better way to store it so it wouldn't melt and if it wasn't so rough I would definitely give it another go but for now its a nope.
It looks good enough a little green bump, that looked kind of like it has half of lush on the top of it, easy enough to use, Can't go wrong or so I thought.
Don't get me wrong I love scrubs, especially ones that actually make you feel like your removing dead skin and nasty bits.
I found this was worse than rough, I felt like I was sandpapering myself in the shower. It said not to get it wet well umm I'm in the shower how is it not going to. It dissolves pretty easy when it is wet as well. I'm not to sure how well the rest of the bar will keep or if it's a one use wonder. Definitely was a once use wonder for me I new have a pile of green slime.
Definitely Exfoliated, in fact I think a layer of skin went down the drain with it.
I am a total Lushie and love their ethics and what their brand stands for. While in store a few weeks ago I was directed to this product as an alternative to their other food scrub product as this was meant to last longer. It's true this can last a long time if you use it sparingly and keep the remainder away from moisture. This helped scrub off dead skin from my feet and left them feeling softer and was quite effective, but I doubt I will buy it again.
Tips: Break off a small portion to take into the shower with you otherwise if the rest of the bar has contact with water it will start turning all sticky. As for it's appearance, it is simple and a cheaper and dry option from their rub rub scrub - but I would go with the Rub rub for it's container and quantity. It does the same job too.
