I do love fruity scents and so I was able to get this for a little less than regular price when someone was having a Lush clearout. I do love berry scents and Lush so I thought it was worth trying out. This shower cream smells like blackcurrant and bergamot. The color is a pretty sparkly, pearlized berry fuscia shade. Actually the shade in the bottle would make a pretty eyeshadow or lipstick color and when it lathers up the lather is fuschia. This shower gel foams and lathers up well, if you use a shower poof you're only going to need a tiny bit and even a small bottle will last you a really long time. Now for the ingredients this is where the cons start for me the ingredients on the bottle I have are water, sodium laureth sulfate, blackberry and vanilla infusion, sodium cocoamphoacetate, stearic acid, lauryl betaine, propylene glycol, perfume, almond oil, lactic acid, titanium dioxide, bergamot oil, cassis absolute, cypress oil, limonene, linalool, snowflake lustre, titanium dioxide, colour 17200, colour 45410 and methylparaben. Now here's the list of ingredients from the website - Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Almond Oil, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Bergamot Oil, Cypress Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Snowflake Lustre, Titanium Dioxide, Colour 17200, Colour 45410, Methylparaben. The blackberry and vanilla infusion and cassis absolute are missing. So I don't know if they've reformulated the shower gel so the Comforter won't have any blackcurrant in it or it's just missing from the website. Another thing is that a very high percentage of this shower cream is SLS which dries out my skin and makes it blotchy and itchy after a shower. Already with lush shower gels, soaps, jellies etc. I have to cut back on them otherwise I have dry, itchy skin, this one I have to cut back even more. Because of that I won't be repurchasing this. It does smell nice but it dries out my skin.

A cuddle in a bottle
This berrylicious, reassuring shower cream brings to mind warm, familiar memories. The blend of sweet cassis absolute, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurrant aroma. Lather up and you'll feel like you're being wrapped in a warm hug.

Tips: A little goes a long way with this shower cream especially if you use it on a shower puff.
I am in love with Lush's The Comforter Shower Cream, it smells divine but I also love the fact it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or stripped of hydration afterwards, instead it just smells great and my skin feels softly cleansed. The colour is also fantastic, who doesn't like pink shower cream! It is a little on the pricey side, but is to be expected with Lush products, so I usually just buy it on occasion, however a little doe's go a long way and not alot of shower cream is needed each time. It doesn't lather up like crazy, but just enough to cleanse your skin, which is probably why it isn't drying along with the ingredients, such as almond oil. Definitely recommend this if your a fan of yummy smelling bath/shower products and/or if you have dry and sensitive skin.
I love this shower cream, if you love snow fairy then you need to try this one for sure although snow fairy is definitely still my favorite out of the two. I got given a big bottle for my birthday and it still feels like i haven't used much as a little goes a long way. This shower cream is a sparkly berry shade. I can't get enough of the scent it smells so divine you could almost eat it. I didn't pay for it as it was a gift but i would happily buy my self it because it lasts months and months, so you definitely get your moneys worth. I have already recommend to a friend and ill be keeping it in mind as a gift for a few of the special ladies in my life.
Oh it just feels like one great big hug. After a long day at work or uni i love using this to calm me down and make me feel relaxed and refreshed. I must say it is hands down my favorite Lush product. Its sweet, but not too sweet, smells delicious, lathers well on the body and also be used as a bubble bath liquid. I would absolutely recommend this product.
Tips: You only need a small amount, it goes a long way and can also be used in the bath as a bubble bath which is so lovely.
Lush excel at all things scented! I love this product as it reminds me of old school jelly babies from when I was a child. The scent is so sweet and transports me to my childhood which is very cool. Every time I open this bottle I am immediately so happy and it makes my showers and baths more fun!
Tips: Use this with the Comforter Bubble Bar in your bath for an amazing scented you!
This gorgeous shower cream comes in a clear plastic bottle with a black flip top lid. The shower cream is such a cute pink colour which brightens up your bathroom.
It is thicker than your typical shower gel, however it is still easy to pour onto your shower puff. You honestly only need the size of a 50 cent piece as this will lather like crazy. The fragrance will embrace you like a warm cuddle, scents of bergamot and blackcurrent.
After your shower your skin is left feeling soft and supple and beautiful.
This is probably one of my favourite Lush shower products.
Tips: This also comes in bar form, and you can use the cream in a bath for bubbles!
I bought a small 100g flip top bottle of Lush The Comforter Shower Cream, and honestly, I wish I'd purchased the bigger size. It's described on Lush's website as a hug in a bottle, and the smell of this shower cream is really delicious!
The website says: "One sniff of this berrylicious, reassuring shower cream conjures up warm, familiar memories. The blend of sweet cassis and creamy fair trade vanilla absolutes, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurrant aroma. Lather up and you'll feel like you're being wrapped in a warm hug."
The berry coloured shower cream is easy to get out of the bottle and onto a shower pouf, and only a small amount is needed. It lathers up really well to produce a rich, creamy, pink coloured foam that smells utterly divine. It leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh, while the delicate berry scent lingers for a short while.
I definitely prefer the smell of The Comforter Shower Cream over Snow Fairy Shower Gel, as I found Snow Fairy to be far too sweet for my liking.
Lush products are not tested on animals, however these products do contain SLS and parabens.
Tips: Can be used as a bubble bath
My daughter gifted me a bottle of this for mothers day. I wouldnt have bought it myself, lush is very expensive.
It smells very sweet but its surprisingly refreshing rather than over the top sickly. The pink coloring is pretty too but it verges on staining my skin. It is also very runny so it makes sense it is called a cream and not a gel.
It lathers best with a loofah and i thought the scent was stuck to my skin for a good amount of time after. It did make my skin feel a bit squeaky though.
I think this is totally over hyped. It may be an animal cruelty free product that also smells nice however, smell doesn’t stick to skin. Product doesn’t last long and there are no benefits to body after using this product
I have NEEDED to have this in my collection of Lush for so long now. I got a sample from my Shazatron lovely a while back and loved it so had to get a big one. I have the 500g bottle which is all I ever really buy when buying shower washes. It just makes more sense to me to go big or go home.
I had only ever tried one shower cream before this so was interested to see if it would change my mind on how much I dislike them. It comes in the familiar bottle with the snap shut lid. I do dislike the lids quite alot because they tend to be hard to open and my nails are not fans of them for that reason! I love that the bottle is 100% recycled plastic, in sticking with my friendly environment products love.
The shower cream itself is a bright fuchsia colour and so give my heart warm fuzzies. It has a shimmer throughout too which satisfies my girly side....bring it on. Upon taking deep sniffs I am transported back to my childhood when all I can think of is that magic pink medicine that tasted of berries and lollies. The Comforter reminds me so much of that and it aptly named The Comforter because it did just that for me.
The cream is a bit too thin for liking and tends to dribble out of my scubby a bit too quickly so it's all hands on deck to make sure I don't waste any down the plug. It doesn't lather as much as I would like but it is still very pleasant to scrub on to my skin. One thing that annoys me above all that is the fact that it stains my loofah and my shower floor unless I scrub it off afterwards. In summary I do love this shower wash but not the thin consistency or the staining. I think I can look past that though.....the jury is still out.
Tips: Wash and scrub loofah and floor to avoid staining.
