I do love fruity scents and so I was able to get this for a little less than regular price when someone was having a Lush clearout. I do love berry scents and Lush so I thought it was worth trying out. This shower cream smells like blackcurrant and bergamot. The color is a pretty sparkly, pearlized berry fuscia shade. Actually the shade in the bottle would make a pretty eyeshadow or lipstick color and when it lathers up the lather is fuschia. This shower gel foams and lathers up well, if you use a shower poof you're only going to need a tiny bit and even a small bottle will last you a really long time. Now for the ingredients this is where the cons start for me the ingredients on the bottle I have are water, sodium laureth sulfate, blackberry and vanilla infusion, sodium cocoamphoacetate, stearic acid, lauryl betaine, propylene glycol, perfume, almond oil, lactic acid, titanium dioxide, bergamot oil, cassis absolute, cypress oil, limonene, linalool, snowflake lustre, titanium dioxide, colour 17200, colour 45410 and methylparaben. Now here's the list of ingredients from the website - Water (Aqua), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Lauryl Betaine, Propylene Glycol, Perfume, Almond Oil, Lactic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Bergamot Oil, Cypress Oil, Limonene, Linalool, Snowflake Lustre, Titanium Dioxide, Colour 17200, Colour 45410, Methylparaben. The blackberry and vanilla infusion and cassis absolute are missing. So I don't know if they've reformulated the shower gel so the Comforter won't have any blackcurrant in it or it's just missing from the website. Another thing is that a very high percentage of this shower cream is SLS which dries out my skin and makes it blotchy and itchy after a shower. Already with lush shower gels, soaps, jellies etc. I have to cut back on them otherwise I have dry, itchy skin, this one I have to cut back even more. Because of that I won't be repurchasing this. It does smell nice but it dries out my skin.

Lush The Comforter Shower Cream Review
A cuddle in a bottle
This berrylicious, reassuring shower cream brings to mind warm, familiar memories. The blend of sweet cassis absolute, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurrant aroma. Lather up and you'll feel like you're being wrapped in a warm hug.

Tips: A little goes a long way with this shower cream especially if you use it on a shower puff.
I think this is totally over hyped. It may be an animal cruelty free product that also smells nice however, smell doesn’t stick to skin. Product doesn’t last long and there are no benefits to body after using this product
I have NEEDED to have this in my collection of Lush for so long now. I got a sample from my Shazatron lovely a while back and loved it so had to get a big one. I have the 500g bottle which is all I ever really buy when buying shower washes. It just makes more sense to me to go big or go home.
I had only ever tried one shower cream before this so was interested to see if it would change my mind on how much I dislike them. It comes in the familiar bottle with the snap shut lid. I do dislike the lids quite alot because they tend to be hard to open and my nails are not fans of them for that reason! I love that the bottle is 100% recycled plastic, in sticking with my friendly environment products love.
The shower cream itself is a bright fuchsia colour and so give my heart warm fuzzies. It has a shimmer throughout too which satisfies my girly side....bring it on. Upon taking deep sniffs I am transported back to my childhood when all I can think of is that magic pink medicine that tasted of berries and lollies. The Comforter reminds me so much of that and it aptly named The Comforter because it did just that for me.
The cream is a bit too thin for liking and tends to dribble out of my scubby a bit too quickly so it's all hands on deck to make sure I don't waste any down the plug. It doesn't lather as much as I would like but it is still very pleasant to scrub on to my skin. One thing that annoys me above all that is the fact that it stains my loofah and my shower floor unless I scrub it off afterwards. In summary I do love this shower wash but not the thin consistency or the staining. I think I can look past that though.....the jury is still out.
Tips: Wash and scrub loofah and floor to avoid staining.
