I've always been told about the famous "Mac lipsticks" but I honestly didn't know what all of the hype was about until I purchased my own! I have Spirit which is a beautiful nude/brown satin finish lippy and Viva Glam II which is a very wearable nude. I am so so impressed with the packaging, formula and appearance of my mac lipsticks and I will definitely be purchasing more to add to my collection!

Tips: As it's winter, the weather can contribute to dry lips, therefore be careful when purchasing a matte finish lipstick as it can make dry lips look drier.
I was super lucky to receive Heroine from the ever so lovely Jessicka & Rebellous Red from the lovely Melissa who are both BR babes. Thank you so much xxx
These are my only MAC products and I'm in love with them.
The packaging is sleek with a black "bullet" and a simple MAC on it.
The two I have do not dry my lips out which is great. I also don't have to reapply them throughout the day as often as other lipsticks as the staying power is fantastic! (roughly 5-6 hours) I find them to glide on and to not bleed, therefore I don't have to use a lip liner if I'm not in the mood.
I get so many compliments while wearing these two beautiful shades. I would highly recommend these lipsticks but unfortunately would not purchase more simply due to the price.
With MAC being hella expensive in NZ I never imagined buying a lipstick especially at $40 approx. a lipstick! So when I went through Tokyo Airport and saw them for nearly half the price I was definitely excited. I bought Twig, Taupe, Brick-O-La & Sin and there are all incredible. They are long lasting (even without being Matte) and colour pay off is great. I love that they have a huge colour range that cater to all skin tones and I wish I could buy them all!
Tips: The matte formulas can be drying so be sure to hydrate your lips with a good balm before application -- I know MAC has a lip-base that can be used beneath it as well.
My two favourite lipsticks are from Mac, I have lady danger and a honey nude. They are both matte and stay on for ages. The colour range is awesome! Can be drying, but that is expected for a matte lipstick, sometimes using lip balm underneath helps.
Tips: Use lip balm if it's drying, and use a lip brush!
I am absolutely in love with MAC lipsticks. From the packaging to the product, MAC can do no wrong. I love how this product actually lasts on my lips, unlike so many other lipsticks that I've tried. Although they are quite pricey, I consider them well worth the price. There is also an incredible range of colours and finishes, of which I own more than a few.
Tips: If you have 6 empty MAC products, simply return them to receive 1 free MAC lipstick.
I love MAC lippy I can't wait to go through DFS next week to get more :). They have such a great range and their is a colour to suit everyone.
Only down fall in NZ you can't exchange 5 empty MAC products for a free lipstick, this is one of the main reasons I use to have so many.
Well, MAC was voted best lipstick award on BR- and I most definitely agree. It took me a while to purchase a MAC lipstick, I just wish I had done it sooner! These lipsticks are so lovely and I am so impressed. Do they live up to the hype? Most definitely!
I've now tried quite a few of the different finishes and cremesheen would have to be my favourite, as they are so moisturising to my dry (and sometimes sensitive) lips.
The packaging is stylish and so sleek. What you would expect from MAC! The lipstick comes in a bullet-shaped case, and it's just the signature, iconic MAC look.
The formula applies like a dream, it glides over your lips and the colour is so pigmented. The colour choices are amazing and I just want to add more to my collection.
I've been constantly reaching for my MAC 'on hold' cremesheen - it's a beautifully flattering reddy-coral and slightly raspberry colour that has become one of my everyday favourites. It's red based but more toned down than classic reds, making it perfect for everyday wear - I'm totally in love with the colour!
One I like to wear on evenings out is Ruby Woo, a matte finish perfect red. Such a classic - I think everyone needs this colour. I have an ever growing wishlist of colours I want to add to my collection, including candy yum yum, velvet teddy and girl about town.
I love MAC lipsticks, and they are so worthy of the best lipstick award by beauty review! This has ignited my love of MAC and now am the proud owner of lippies, foundation and my list keeps growing!
I own 4 Mac lipsticks and would love to own so many more. I have pure Zen, Russian red, kinda sexy and brick-o-la. I haven't been disappointed by any of them. They are gentle on the lips and long wearing and I also really like the packaging.
Tips: Learn about the different finishes they offer before making a purchase as some people may not like the Sheerness of a lustre or a more dry looking matte.
Can't even say in words how fantastic this lip stick is, I do find the price expensive at $40 a stick, but it really does feel that price and also stays on unlike the rest of these false advertising ads, I like the matte looks not the shined ones, and I've used a few different colours in the matte range and they all work the same, wonderful
Tips: Always exfoliate your lips with your toothbrush at night, give them a brush, they need to be cared for as well
I've been using MAC lipsticks for the past 7 years and I can't imagine my collection without them. Having said that, I do find that regardless of the finish they can be quite drying on me and I know I'm not alone in this.
Funnily enough my favourite finish is matte. The pigmentation is insanely rich and true to colour. I love that they do not budge or fade as easily when eating or drinking or heck even breathing! On me they last a good 5-6 hours before I have to touch up the edges.
Out of all the finishes they are the most drying and I encourage beauties to use a lip conditioner or treatment before and after use (do not get lazy about it - trust me).
I notice with the limited edition mattes they tend to tug more at the lips while the permanent range not so much. There are the odd few shades that apply patchy (limited edition "Talk that Talk" / "Riri Woo") but nothing a thin layer of lip balm can't fix.
I highly recommend "Riri Woo" (or "Ruby Woo" - permanent range) - a rich blue based red and "Kinda Sexy" - brown nude. Or if you prefer a pink nude then "Mehr" may tickle your fancy. I buy the majority of my lipsticks from MAC online (US) and odd few occasions from our own NZ stores if the US has sold out. I would recommend MAC lipsticks more so for colour range.
Tips: If using the matte lipsticks prep your lips in advance and then treat them after you remove the lipstick. I exfoliate using ELF lip exfoliator then go in with my Blistex Lip conditioner.
