MAC Studio Fix Foundation Fluid SPF 15 Review

I abdolutely love this foundation especially now Mac have released an nw10 (super pale!) shade in NZ. This foundation is heavy coverage and super long lasting, it has a semi matte finish. Some people have complained about the smell but personally I don't think it has a very strong fragrance. Would recommend this to any body looking for a full coverage foundation as it is very good value for the quality.

My only complaint is that some shades do oxidise (NW15 for example) but have had no issues with my latest bottle (NW10)

I was quite shocked trying this product, I'd judged it and thought it was one of those classic expensive products that are really no good, but I was wrong. It has the best finish, doesn't make my skin oily, perfect shade and it isn't that bad on the pocket!

This was the first liquid foundation that I bought, it's really great, light/medium coverage with a semi-matt finish, however I prefer a fuller coverage and this can look quite painted on when trying to build up. However this could be down to user error.

I have heard many things about this foundation and expected it to be this miracle foundation.

I didn't like it at all. Why?

Firstly the smell is unbearable. I would hate to put it on because of the smell. If given the chance try to smell it. You will know what I mean. Secondly it oxides like crazy. I tried NC 45. It made me look liken an orange umpa lumba. No joke!! I tried NC 44 and it still oxidises on my skin. I don't want to buy a foundation 5 shades lighter and look ashy only to wait for it to match me hours later!!

Lastly it transfers!! It comes off on my finger even after it set it with powder!

I mean its got good coverage. But if I'm goin to spend $60 bucks on a foundation i want it to be more than just good coverage, wouldn't you agree.

It works for others. But didn't work for me. Love the Studio fix powered but not the foundation.

I have normal skin, but throughout the day my T-zone does get oily. I love how this foundation has SPF,I think everyone foundation should. Since it does have SPF it doesn't have a very matte finish, but the coverage is amazing, it evens out my skin, and people tell me my skin looks so smooth. It doesn't have a frangrance to me either.

I havent used this product for a while, but only due to money limitations. I strive for a perfectly floorless look and this is the only foundation that has ever given me the exact coverage that I want. You can apply layers easily for extra coverage. For me though, I found the foundation seemed to bring out the oil in my skin, which meant i needed to use powder to lock/soak up the oil.

This foundation is quite pricey and there are plenty of alternative cheaper foundations to this product. However with that being said I was determined to make this work for me. After try it for a week I discover every time I used a dirty brush the foundation would dry up and separate on my face. Once I started to clean my brush before every application it was working but still wasn't as perfect as I wanted. Then I discovered shiseido Ulitmune (a kind of serum) and used it in my everyday skin care routeing. The foundation started to sit perfectly and last all day. It is possible to make it work ! Now Studio fix Fluid would be in my top fie foundations.

This foundation is fantastic if you enjoy a fuller coverage or have a few problem areas. I like it because the lasting power on it is great, I can wear it for a full day of work without melting off ib the heat or letting through any oil. I have dry skin and find that a moisturizing primer definitely helps prevent this from clinging to dry patches ob my face. The colour I use is NC15 and it's a pretty good match. If you apply thin layers at a time it won't appear cakey.

there is something about mac make-up. the people behind this brand are GENIUS! the foundation covers all imperfections and is long lasting. i love love love this product. and for anyone looking for a long wearing foundation that keeps your skin looking clear and perfect all day needs to invest in this!

I do love this foundation!! It gives me excellent coverage! Covers all my blemishes without a doubt. One thing with this foundation is...you have to MOISTURISE!! And you may need to fiddle around with moisturisers to see which one goes well with this foundation and you skin. I use the good old Astral cream! Apply astral cream and then wait for at least 5 minutes. I use a foundation brush...a beauty blender I found didn't give me the coverage I waned. I use the coco beau big fat foundation brush. I have had people complimenting my skin so much. I would Defo buy again. Only use it for special occasions as it breaks me out if I use it everyday.
