If you have a oily skin and scars on you're face, I would totally recommend this product, I have been using the macs studio fix foundation for the past 3 years, this product gives you full coverage & a clean look to it. I would recommend this product for coverage or scaring and oily based skin.
this is a full coverage foundation and i love using it. it is easy to blend and they have a great colour selection! the only issue i have ever had with this foundation is when i have really dry skin on my face, it does cling to those areas.
I love Mac products, and this foundation is amazing! It goes on beauitful, easy to blend I think using a foundation brush works best as it gives a flawless finish. The only thing I would say is if you have oily skin it can get abit shiny and you will just need to blot it later if going out for the evening. Otherwise this product is fantastic.
Tips: Remember to always moisture before putting foundation on as it will give you an even better look and stop any foundation clinging to dry skin.
I have tried many other foundation brands and this one is by far the best one I've tried. It gives me a full coverage for the whole day. I use primer before i use it which works well. I use more ( cake it on ) when i go out. Love this foundation.
MAC studio fix fluid foundation is my perfect pick for when I want a full coverage look for a big night out. There is a large colour range and due to the fantastic MAC counter teams it is easy to get the right colour match for your skin. The mixture stays smooth and creamy and leaves you with a dewy finish. Unlike many other more heavy foundations, this one doesn't make me break out which is a huge plus! I would highly recommend this foundation to any one who is looking for a full coverage foundation for special events and nights out.
Tips: I always apply this foundation with a stipple brush (either my ELF or real techniques one) and really kind of buff it and gently press it into the skin. This ensures even coverage and a longer lasting finish. I always finish off my heavier foundation looks with a oil absorbing powder along my T-zone,I use MAC's prep and prime finishing powder.
I use to use this before I switched to Mac's Face and Body Foundation The only reason I switched was the price factor, the big bottle seems to be a lot more cost effective. With that being said I really liked this foundation, it has nice coverage for daytime use but you can also build it up if you want something a bit more. It does seem to last a long time and not go oily as well which is good!
Tips: Use a brush to apply this foundation, you only need a little bit, it goes a long way. Using a brush gives you the best finish. If you are wanting to build up the coverage after applying your first layer, leave a little bit on your hand to thicken up a tiny bit before applying your second layer and always make sure you wait until the first layer has settled into your skin otherwise it will end up looking cakey.
MAC foundation is great it gives you full coverage and lasts for long periods of time. There is a fumey smell when applied and can be very drying after removal but it is full coverage and works, just prepare your skin before application to stop pimples occuring ect im definitely not camera shy with this on I feel confident, ready and fantastic
Tips: Use moisturiser before use Make sure you wash your face before and after let the face breath
For so long, I have wanted to try out some MAC foundation to see if it really was as good as everyone makes it out to be.
I'd settled with using Revlon ColorStay for the past few years and after hearing that it's almost a dupe to MAC I didn't really see the point in switching brands.
There was forever that little inkling of curiosity. I didn't know where to begin shade-wise so the lovely lady at the counter helped me find a colour that matched my skin tone - I am Sand Beige with Revlon, and was matched to NW15.
While it is slightly too dark for me, it blends out wonderfully and gives me some colour which is a step closer to being the same shade as my tanned arms without making my face feel too orange.
We both felt that NW13 would be a perfect match for my face but would wash me out due to my tanned arms so I will probably purchase that shade in winter when I go back to my pale self.
I am so glad that they have bought out NW13 and NW10, otherwise I'd be stuck over winter!
The foundation itself has lovely, full coverage without looking caked on and I feel like a brand new woman when I wear it!
It has a strange smell to it, but so does my old Revlon stuff so I'm pretty used to odd smelling foundations.
The only problem is that by the end of the day I look a bit shiny (oily skin) but this is fixed by touching up with powder or blotting paper.\
I don't think I will ever use another foundation.
Tips: Something I think is pretty important: Purchase the pump with your bottle of foundation! I didn't realise that the foundation itself doesn't come with a pump, it is quite thick and takes a while to get some out of the bottle and using a pump is much more hygienic :)
This is my go to foundation when I know I need something that does the hard yards! Beautiful and silky to apply-I use a beauty blender from Shaaanxo Blends flawlessly and once I set it with powder and setting spray this gets me through long functions and events!!! The formula is medium coverage but can be built up to full without looking cakey. Suggestions- moisturise well so it doesn’t stick to dry patches, and if you want it to last longer then use powder and setting spray!
