I 100% purchased these due to Cat's review on here!! So my addicted can be blamed on someone I guess (yeah like I need to blame anyone)
I purchased 4 of the foiled eye shadows and 3 of the matte eye shadows to fill up the remaining space in my Z-Palette. They turned up pretty darn quickly from the states so the whole purchase to your door was smooth sailing. Packaged in little sleeves of cardboard with their logo and signature black, pink and white design. The little pan of colour pops through the clear view panel so you can see what you have purchased. Once ripped out of its container then solid pan which must be steel or some form of metal as it has that cool touch to it, is rather a generous size in depth and width. Easily attaches itself into the Z-Palette without the need for additional magnets to be attached to the underside which is a bonus so you can still see what the shade is when you lift it out of the palette.
Formula wise, the mattes are solid, pressed colours that have a soft creamy texture to them which means they aren't crumbly and transfer from pan to eyelid by finger or brush without falling off mid transit and making a mess. The foiled are similar to the mattes in texture but slightly more creamy, press to hard and you'll leave an indent in the pan, but not too creamy that they need to be sealed tightly with a lid. The shimmer and glitz powers in the foils are out of this world!
Colours owned (at the moment, I know I will be buying more if not all of the remaining)
Mattes:
Homecoming (light brown with a slight gold hue to it)
Mocha (deep brown)
Hipster (sandy beige with slight shimmer)
Foiled:
Magic Act (my fave!! intense gold)
In the Spotlight (pink to peachy corals)
Showtime (dirty brick red, rusty colour)
These eye shadows are also long living even the foiled shades keep there metallic effect throughout the day, they are blendable, smudgeable but once compacted into an area and settled won't be budged. Simply wash off at the end of the day as you normally would any other eye shadow they come off with a makeup remover wipe super easily. Highly recommended to those who want to create their own palette of colours.
I splurged on 24 eyeshadow pans from MUG and have not regretted it at all. The quality is phenomenon. They are creamy and apply like a dream. They're long lasting, in the past I've always needed eye primer but with these I've found I can skip the primer and they still last the day. The shimmery shades are so so so pretty. No chunky glitter or fall out all over your cheeks. The shimmer is like a beautiful sheen that makes your lids shine... So hard to explain but I love it! The mattes are nicely pigmented too but I have found a couple to be not as great as the rest but in saying that, they are still good.
I have shades: Shimmers: Ice Queen, Bling, Shimma Shimma, Cinderella, Cosmopolitan, Bleached Blonde, Gold Digger, Taupe Notch, Hipster, Twilight, Homecoming, Burlesque, Appletini, Sensuous, Last Dance.
Mattes: White Lies, Beaches & Cream, Vanilla Bean, Preppy, Latte, Mocha, Wisteria, Unexpected and Corrupt.
My favourites are Bling, great highlighter shade. Latte, Taupe Notch, Homecoming, Cosmopolitan, Vanilla Bean, Burlesque and Corrupt.
I am disappointed in Wisteria, it's a matte purple shade which looks gorgeous in the pan but doesn't really pack the punch I was expecting. I also think the white shades Ice Queen and White Lies could be improved.
These shadows have been compared to MAC and some have been designed to be dupes. The site has swatches of all the shades which is great. I can't say how they compare to MAC as I haven't tried MAC but I must admit I haven't touched my Naked palette since these arrived.
If you would like me to elaborate on any particular shade listed just leave a comment.
Tips: Corrupt is the blackest shadow I've ever seen. It's long lasting too so is great to line your lash line with.
If you don't have a palette to store the shadows in you can turn them around in their packaging they come in for easy access without having them loose (the packet has a round opening in the back that shows the name on the bottom of pan by turning them around the shadow will be accessible without removing from packet) but I highly recommend a palette to keep them safe.
