I purchased my first pigments last year so have had a good amount of use out of them so far. MUG pigments are amazing for pigmentation and if used with MAC's fix+ they last all day on the lids. The one thing I did not like with these when I ordered mine was that they were super messy as they came with no sifter in them, I did purchase the 5 pack of sifters at the time so was happy that I had done that but wish they came with them already in the container to save me from making a mess and wasting product attempting to put the sifter on. I have heard that with new packaging with these, they come with a sifter in place now. Apart from that this product is amazing.

Tips: I prefer to start with my eye makeup before face incase of fallout, or I would suggest packing loose powder on the undereye area so if fallot occurs you can brush away.
I went to purchase some shadows from the duochrome collection, there was a tutorial which showcased some of them and it included the pigment "Sugar Rush", it looked amazing and I added it to my purchase.
The colour is so hard to describe, it changes through the base white to pink/purple/blue. Its beautiful on its own and really versatile because of its white base and can be used over other shadows. I am definitely going to purchase more of these.
The only thing I wasn't very impressed by was the packaging, the little container had a sifter - but the holes were really big and a lot of product escaped. Also unfortunately after using it twice the sifter caused the top of the container to break which resulted in a shimmery disaster, luckily there is a lot of product in that little pottle and there is still plenty to use.
Tips: Transfer to a new container, I've heard a couple of complaints of breakage and it makes a REAL mess!
My sister-in-law I gave me the shade after glow. It comes in a small yet decent sized round bottle with a screw on lid. Simple packaging but also quite nice looking.
This is my first Makeup Geek product and I am super happy with it. So happy that I try to not use it all the time because I don't want it to run out too fast.
I find that this loose eyeshadow is highly pigmented and you only need a very very small amount for each eyelid. It stayed on all day and that was without me using eyelid primer therefore it gets a 10 out of 10 from me. This shade is absolutely stunning and I even use it under my brow line and have used it on my cheeks as a highlighter but once again only a very small amount.
I would 100% repurchase this particular shade and I hope that in the future I can try other shades as this one is absolutely stunning! would highly recommend.
Tips: I find that I do have to be careful when I unscrew that lid as the loose eyeshadow does go everywhere and makes quite a mess.
I have 1 pigment from Makeup Geek in the shade Insomnia. It's supposedly a dupe for MACs Blue Brown pigment. As I haven't tried MACs pigment I can't compare but from what I've seen online of swatches and what I imagine it to be like I'd say it would be a cheaper alternative to MAC.
The Makeup Geek pigments come in small pots with screw on lids. They can be messy if not careful and really should have a sifter. You use to be able to buy the sifters on their site but last I looked they weren't there, I did hear they now sell them with sifters but as mine didn't come with one I can't say it is true.
You get a lot of product and a little goes a long way. You can apply with a brush by patting it on or by using your finger. It blends very nicely. If you want a foiled look you can dampen your brush.
The colour of Insomnia is beautiful. It has both green and brown reflects to it. No huge glitters at all. It has a gorgeous sheen. When blended it leaves a warm brown shadow so can be used alone on your lids if you pack it onto your lids you get the beautiful green reflects and by gently blending the edges out the warm brown softens it and gives extra dimension to your look.
I highly recommend trying a pigment from Makeup Geek, they are great quality.
