A Disappointment

I was really excited to try there as make up wipes that were both organic and for sensitive skin. Their claims about wiping off mascara were also exciting.

On opening the packet, I was pleased to see the flap immediately sealed back over the wipes, which prevented them from drying out, unlike some other make up wipes I've used. The packaging is also recyclable but is not able to be recycled with many NZ recyclers. With organic products, I also expect packaging that is a bit more enviromentally friendly.

The wipes themselves were thick and well sized, so I was happy with that. However they has a strong unpleasant citrus smell which made them unpleasant to use and actually felt quite chemically against the skin. So I would not reccommend them for sensitive skin when they felt quite harsh on non-sensitive skin.

In terms of their mascara claims, they did remove it quite well, but the harsh chemically feeling that the wipes gave was not worth using them near my eyes.

So sadly these wipes did not do what I hoped they would.

Make-up Wipes

So I apply makeup daily (foundation, concealer, powder foundation, mascara) and work 10am-4pm just to get an idea of how long I've worn makeup and how they worked. So if you have a kid and you've been in a hurry to get them all to bed and yourself at the end of a long day and just grab your childs wipes then these are exactly that. They work exactly the same as my sons cheap wipes from the supermarket but smell stronger.

They have a strong scent of aloe Vera. I don't favour strong scented wipes especially when they're that close to my face. Or maybe its me, ever since pregnancy my hormones have been over powering. They didn't remove my waterproof mascara either, and I rubbed my lashes too. Or maybe I didn't rub hard enough. But it seems they might've worked on normal mascara as they were decently thick wipes. It didn't moisturise my skin, instead it dried it out more than what my sons wipes do. I have dry skin anyway. Which is odd since after you wipe your makeup off your face feels wet as though it'd soak in and moisturise it. The wipes need to be resealed completely otherwise the top dries out as the sticky tab top doesn't always stay stuck down.

On a positive note my skin didn't break out from them. My skin cleared up a little actually but I only had two or three pimples as it was so I don't know if it was just clearing up itself or if the wipes helped. And there's enough wipes for one a day for a week or more.

I wouldn't recommend it as my go to product. I'll stick to my body shop chamomile butter cleanser. But I probably will buy another pack just to give them another try and see if I got a dud batch or not.

Stopped using - Definitely not for sensitive skin.

These wipes work quite well. They claim to get rid of mascara but I don't think they fully do. After scrubbing there was still a lot of eye product left on my face.

Pros: - Stretchy so one wipe goes a long way - Worked fairly well

Cons: - Smells like household cleaner - Stung my eyes and made me have rashes on my eyelids. Struggle to see how people with sensitive skin could use these if I can't even use them.

The name implies these wipes are "natural" but if you look on the back they are only 40% natural.

Definitely wouldn't be using again because of what it did to my skin and because it is heavily fragranced but not in a nice way!

Tips: Don't go near your eyes with it - it is decent for rest of the face use.

Easy wipes.

I received the Natracare Organic Makeup removal wipes two days ago and I love them. The wipe is thick and durable with a lovely fresh scent. It removes a lot of makeup effortlessly and I get a lot of use out of one wipe. Some makeup wipes made my eyes sting but this one doesn't it a fantastic wipe and I would highly recommend this:)

natracare wipes

Worst makeup wipes I have ever tried. used them 4 times to try and take off my makeup and cleanse my face to see if I would grow a like towards them after not liking them the first time. and there's absolutely no change towards how I feel.

first of all; it takes me 3 makeup wipes to completely remove my makeup! so I would not say they were makeup removing wipes because it does not take your makeup off easily at all!

they are the worst texture I have tried in regards to makeup wipes. they feel like sandpaper on the skin and they don't glide over the surface either, you literally have to drag the wipe around with a decent amount of pressure.

Also for someone with normal to dry skin, they didn't not feel nourishing or moisturizing at all and they stung my face for a few minutes after each use.

One positive for these wipes is the smell, they do have a strong tea tree oil scent to them which I really like.

Overall I would definitely not buy these, there are a lot better makeup removing cleanser wipes out there for the same or cheaper price!

Natracare wipes

They did a good job at taking majority of my make up off, would still follow up with a face wash though. Leaves a sticky feeling on your face but feels refreshing. Has a strong scent but think that's just the organic stuff in it as it says it's not fragranced. My skin broke out a wee bit but always does when first trying a product. I don't use face wipes on a daily basis but will defiantly be using these when I do.

Tips: Defiantly worth a try.

Cleasing wipes not for me

I must admit, I was in two minds about whether or not to be part of this trial team as I'm not a big believer in facial cleansing wipes, but when I read that these could remove waterproof mascara without rubbing I thought maybe these could be the ones that change my mind. I used them every night for a week to make sure I really gave them a go, but unfortunately, I don't think they've convinced me.

For me it doesn't feel like any kind of cleansing wipes, these included, give a good enough cleanse to leave my face completely clean or remove makeup completely. I don't get anywhere near the same clean as I do with a normal cleanser and warm face cloth.

These facial wipes are a really good size - they don't feel too small at all. They are relatively gentle on the skin, although probably not the softest I've used, and they feel really strong, they don't separate at all as you're using them. They also feel like they've got a good amount of product in them; not too much where they also don't feel dry even after going over your skin really well. Also, small point, but the package seemed to reseal really well - I don't think there's any chance of these drying out before you get to use them all.

They didn't feel like they were stripping my skin; I have dry skin and I didn't feel like it was crying out for moisturiser after using them.

They didn't sting my eyes either (so important for a makeup remover!) or cause any kind of irritation.

For the essential oils that are in them, and they're organic standard, I think they're a reasonable price.

I'm not sure though how they could remove mascara without rubbing; even just with normal mascara on I had to go over my eyes a few times to get rid of it.

I found they had a really strong fragrance and one I didn't really like - it reminded me of the orange spray and wipe cleaning product! Fragrance doesn't usually bother me, but I couldn't get past it with this product and it was surprising how strong it was given they are made for sensitive skin.

I would never, ever use these alone - I would use them as my first cleanse at night and then follow it up with my usual cleanser and flannel and I was actually quite shocked at how much makeup still came off, even after going over my skin really well with the wipe.

If you love facial cleansing wipes, I feel like these ones are pretty gentle on the skin, there's no alcohol stripping feeling to them at all, apart from the strong fragrance! I personally couldn't remove them as a makeup remover, I just don't think they got it all off enough, not without a second cleanse after.

I'd probably throw these in my gym bag to take my makeup off before a work out, or perhaps take them on the plane to take my makeup off ahead of a long flight. Other than that, I don't think they'll have a permanent place in my skincare routine.

Tips: Follow up with a cleanser to remove the last traces of your makeup, especially before bed.

So close to 5/5 rating ...

The first thing I noticed about the Natracare wipes was the amazing smell when I opened the package for the first time. It is so fresh and after using them I feel like my face felt just as fresh!

The wipes easily removed my foundation and they felt soft against my skin. However, the description says: " Removes waterproof mascara without rubbing", which wasn't the thing in my case. It took me ages to remove my waterproof mascara, with rubbing. And that's the main reason why I don't give it a full 5/5 in "did it do what it said it would?".

However, I still highly recommend the Natracare removal wipes. It does leave the skin cleansed and fresh and removes every type of foundation that I have with out a problem. The waterproof mascara thing isn't really a big deal breaker for me, I don't use them that often, and the wipes worked perfectly on my other "non-waterproof" mascara.

Tips: Might not be the cheapest make-up removal wipes in the store, but the package is big and you definitely get what you are paying for :) !

Just no..

I'm very sorry, but this is not a good product. When I first received it, I thought the packaging looked good, and I was super keen to try them out.

Firstly, the wipes are hardly damp! You have to rub them quite intensely on your face to even remove any make-up. On the first day, I used two wipes and there was still make-up leftover on my face afterwards. I know this because I used another make-up remover after just to check.

They smell really weird. It's like a citrusy smell, but it's just not nice. And the scent remains on your face for ages. It actually made me feel a bit queasy.

I just didn't feel any cleaner after using these. And what I can't understand is how they can state it removes waterproof mascara. It didn't even remove my non-waterproof mascara no matter how hard I rubbed it on my eyes!

After using them, my skin felt really greasy.

Definitely not recommended!
