Builds up easily into an all day heavily pigmented

I was very lucky to be gifted a brand new pot of this coffin dust from a BR member and I was blown away by just how good pigments are, as this was my first loose shadow to try.

In the colour: Flaming This little pot of pigment power goodness is very understated in looks, it comes in a short little round pot with a screw lid, sunken inside is a shake well where you shake the loose powder up through the provided holes. I have used loose glitter before and it creates a huge mess but this loose dust seemed to be denser but finer so sat happily in the little well inside the pot waiting for me to pick at it rather moving around freely and spreading itself all about the table. Application is pretty easy if you use a glitter glue to work with this loose dust. I apply a little glue to the back of my hand and run a brush through it until it’s tacky, then pick the dust up with the brush and pat onto my eyelids. Once applied and the glue goes off it stays put all day. Doing this method gets a tidier result with less dust falling off the brush or lid onto my skin and surrounding areas. The colour goes on bold and stays bold, this red colour had a slight shimmer to it that gave the whole look a dewy soft effect even though the colour is bold, to not be so shocking so that I was able to work into a chocolate/red smoky eye perfectly.

Removal is pretty easy too just normal makeup remover in a single swipe removed it, and I didn’t have to tug or rub at it to get every bit off saving my eyes from getting panda black and wrinkly! I think that this might be down to the application method though as using the glue creates a barrier that wipes off easily, but not accidentally smudge. This has started my desire to add to my collection of loose powder eyeshadows and not be put off by how bold they look as you can just build the colour up from a soft rose hue through to a deep dense pillar box red.

Bad Boy Blue.

This was gifted to me from a fellow BR member. The name 'coffin dust' definitely appeals to me as I love all things morbid and I was super, super excited to give this a go.

Bad Boy Blue is the shade I have. This is a stunning duochrome shade that appears a teal kind of blue in the pot and has teeny turquoise shimmers in it. It's such a unique colour - I don't have anything likethis. My collection.

This comes in a small jar with a softer inside it. I love the sifter as it prevents any coffin dust explosion haha. Like a pigment, you can use this wet or dry.

When this is dry the pigmentation is ok with one swipe. You can definitely build this up to a super intense, opaque colour. When this is wet it is more opaque and shimmery.

This is very easy to blend when dry and I like that you can have a sheer coat of this or a super opaque coat by building it up. Because one coat isn't super pigmented, you can put this over another shade (black looks amazing under this), and create a unique look.

Although this is kind of expensive for me - I would definitely purchase other shades from this line. The colour I have is so unique and easy to use that I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more.
